Red Dog Saloon Hoxton
Barbeque grew up in the South of the USA where cooks learned to slow roast cuts of meat over fire pits to make them tender. Exposure to the smoke of the smouldering wood added a distinctive smoky taste to the meat. The process could take many hours, leaving the meat tender and juicy.
Our award-winning smoker has been imported from the USA and is built to recreate the cooking process of those original fire pits. We use the traditional American woods of hickory and mesquite to give a full smoke flavour, and the meat stays in the smoker for up to 16 hours.
min 2 pieces
espresso bbq, house pickles, onions
wafer thin ribeye round, american cheese, vidalia onions
Still amazing potential but not what it was and I hope its returns. The mean was amazing but the Mac and cheese was inedible! You guys have a great brand, hopefully you can make some improvements
Couldnt get drinks for love nor money asked 3 times for a beer pitcher and got a pint instead. Food excellent
Good vibes, a bit loud though. Food took longer than usual to come, but my main was on the colder side. Other than that it was good, and have good cocktails and have happy hour
Overall it was ok.
The staff are nice and friendly. The food however was a little bland and some of it was not cooked well ( the pasta in mac and cheese was hard and the meat was generally dry). Compared to other place it low interms of food.
A group of 8 people including teenagers, a perfect mix of food to suit all
Booked on a Tuesday evening and it was completely empty so my girlfriend felt extra special since it looked like I bought out the entire restaurant for her. Staff were extremely accommodating and the food was good. The burger patties were plain but with the other inserts such as bacon, onions etc,it was more than edible. I’ll put this critique down to me seasoning my own burgers at home. The shots were wonderful and once again, the ambience was brilliant.
Really kind and patient staff members. The lady who served us was ever present and that counts for a lot, thank you.
Love the food absolutely amazing. Tasted so good and well worth the money. Staff were so helpful and attentive. The bartenders did an AMAZING job on the cocktails, I couldn’t stop ordering more!! They need to play more modern music rather than cowboy music. But other then that it was amazing.
Good food, but left waiting a while to be asked if we wanted a drink.
Each chicken piece had its own spice level , crust taste like powder . Well over salted .
Food was lovely, however the staff were rude and not at all attentive. Had to ask for them to bring cutlery they were just rude.
Great food for sharing so you can try everything! Delicious, good cocktails, pitchers of beer. Great night!
Only the 2nd time going there an the entry level was fantastic diners having an amazing time food as always was superb and the servers were top notch 👌 highly recommend going I will deffo be back in the new year
Excellent food and service, a bit noisy but then it was a Saturday night in December and I’m old….fantastic
Awful service. We were sat down for 20 minutes before being served a drink. Starter then came before we even got a drink which arrived 10 minutes later. When we got our food 2 items were missing. They then still added service charge after we complained. When asking to take the service charge off the waitress grimaced and didn’t come back until 10 minutes later. £60 for 1 wings, 2 burgers, a pitcher and one fries… left feeling like an absolute mug. Avoid avoid avoid!!!
Poor service. Food was cold first time round. Drinks came separately. Ordered a milkshake, the one I ordered they don’t even do anymore and it took 20 minutes! Not what you’re made out to be on Instagram
Really good food as always, however the waiter did get our order wrong but this was corrected when we paid. Restaurant was a bit noisy and the women’s toilets were poorly maintained. The tables were also a bit cramped.
Super staff and a good selection of American store dishes.
Will defo Be back soon! Food was banging! Service was on point I recommend this place 100%
Sides got brought out with starters rather than mains and wait for mains was almost 40 mins buy which time we had finished the sides and/or they were cold .
Staff were very welcoming and nothing appeared any problem.
I took my family of five to red dog saloon in hoxton.
We were made to feel welcomed, the waiter looked after us and helped us from over ordering and really understood kids tastes when it came to ordering overloaded fries and removed the pickles.
He even helped split our milkshakes into two glasses so the kids wouldn’t be too full before their dinner.
Good range of local people and city folk with lively music and most all family friendly.
Huge portions, amazing flavours! Great value for money. Definitely book before you go as it’s extremely popular and busy of an evening.
Great place to eat. Food was amazing. Great size portions and value for money. Definitely go back
Food excellent, some of the best BBQ in London. Service a bit hit and miss, some of the staff were exceptional, but others were not. The music was not in keeping with the style of restaurant and was a bit irritating.
The service of the staff was outstanding and very friendly, the food and the establishment were very nice.
If you like your burger still breathing on your plate, then this is the place for you. Was told the burger is a little pink. I should have taken a picture, it literally was Steak Tartar it was shocking.
When showing the waiter our issue, was told all burgers are cooked medium rare? Never heard of that before at any burger joint, but you could tell he was shocked at what he was seeing as he agreed it was a bit raw and offered free drinks.
Buffalo wings tasted like frozen sainsburys wings with little buffalo sauce and a lot of oil.
Ribs were awful full of fat, took 25 minutes to get a drink. Only one waiter serving who was rushed off his feet.
Food delicious and lots of it. Service was a bit shabby to begin with, moody service staff but this was rectified when we told another member of staff who was very nice and super accommodating. Great place for a catch up, ask for a table seated away from the speakers if you are softly spoken!
The staff were talking amongst themselves a lot of the time so trying to get their attention for sauces, the bill etc took quite a while. In light of this I asked for the service to be removed (optional) and I was approached by one of the waitresses serving us in a confrontational manner which came across quite aggressive. The food took ages to come out once we had placed our orders and the food was very average/plain/basic. The restaurant was very loud and full of rowdy people which is not the setting we were expecting. We did leave a note on our booking reservation that we were celebrating a birthday however this did not get picked up but by this point, we were ready to leave which was a shame. All in all I would not recommend!
The first waiter we had made us very comfortable and the waiter that sung happy birthday was very nice too
Booked table 2 weeks before, got there & was told with an attitude was table right by door or outside (8pm night). Food came out, chicken tenders were tasty but lukewarm, fries cold. Complained but we didn’t have time for them to replace so ate what I could. Asked for cutlery, was given 1 set between 2 people. No serviettes given. Manager apologised & took 50% off bill. Won’t ever go back or recommend.
Starters and mains were cold. Like they'd been left for 10 mins before serving. Drinks took an age to come. Just felt like noone was really interested in delivering top food with top service.
Friendly staff. Fantastic food & a brilliant atmosphere. What else can you ask for.
Amazing staff, amazing food, what more could you ask for made my bros 21st special, cant wait to come back
Sadly the restaurant was too busy for the number of staff they had available, it was chaotic and made you feel anxious just being there. The waitress was great when she was able to get to the table but was clearly rushing around and not responsible for the rest of her team. Food was ok.
Food was good but service was painfully slow. Sat down at 8pm, it was 9:30 and we still didn't have our food. We had to be somewhere at 10 so had to eat super fast and chase staff for the bill then the card machine. Very nice people and food is pretty good but wouldn't go back.
All the food tastes the same no variety of flavours. The drinks were really watered down and the music was so so loud can't socialise properly. It's got busy so can't be that bad. But was not for us! Could improve on a few things
Food was definitely worth the visit. Fantastic burger, which was why we came. The milkshake wasn’t a thick as my preference and they didn’t have half the flavours available. But the burger… wow, ordered the devastator and it certainly delivered. Almost put me in a food coma. This is my third visit and I’ll be back again, the burgers never disappoint.
Staff was great! Our main server Rakim was very helpful and accommodating. Anything we asked we was able to provide. Food was delicious and highly recommend the bowl cocktail.
