The Restaurant strives for sustainability and serves local meats, handmade pastas, sustainable fresh seafood & delectable desserts. Our menus change frequently to reflect the wide variety of seasonal foods available regionally. The Wine Bar has over 25 wines by the glass and an extensive representation of Northwest Wines. The Wine bar offers enticing appetizers, fresh salads, artisan sandwiches and petite entrees. Monday night is live music night in the Wine Bar. We started our meal with the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes. These were not what we would consider full of jumbo lump crab meat and they were overcooked. We would not recommend them nor order them again. Our main dishes were the Grilled Pork Chop and the Chicken Piccata. The Grilled Pork Chop dish was very good and the green curry sauce made the dish. The Chicken Piccata itself tasted good but was too small of a serving of chicken. Especially considering it was a bone-in chicken. The kale served with it was not good at all. The Spatzel was unique to try but not something I would want again. Overall I was still hungry when I was done with the dish which is not a good sign for the cost. My partner would have liked another beverage off the menu and I would have liked to order dessert but the service was so slow that neither happened. The atmosphere is very nice. The lighting is very nice. Not too bright or too dark. It is not loud. You can easily converse with your party and not be bothered by others around you.

Red Bird restaurant has been one of our favorite restaurants for special evenings in Missoula. Sadly, they are closing in early May, so this iconic place will no longer be available to us. Our meal was delightful with special friends to say goodbye to this restaurant.

Jayden was wonderful and took good care of us. I gave a 4 for food because I thought the steak was a bit tough. Everything else was great.
