You do pay for it, but Great food! Great service! Burrata is a must have. Great aged beef and the pastas are made in house and motive.

I am not sure what our waiters name was (he was from New York) and was one of the best waiters I have ever had! He was great and very knowledgeable of everything and recommended the perfect amount of food for 4

The food was excellent, but I'm sorry to say that our waitress was rude and patronizing. I'll likely eat here again as long as I can get a different server.

Red Ash was phenomenal and certainly lived up to the hype. Our server was incredibly informative and super educated about the menu as my boyfriend has a gluten allergy. Even the woman who brought our drinks was extremely cordial and so helpful with recommendations! The food was as good as everyone said (the garlic bread will change your life for the better). Seriously my boyfriend and I talked about how great dinner was for probably 45 minutes after we left the restaurant. Thanks y’all!!

Our meal was delicious and service is always good. We had the tuna crudo (excellent light sauce), the meatballs (as always!), and the bone in fillet. Delicious all around.

We love Red Ash for special occasions! We enjoy sitting in the bar during happy hour. The small plates and drinks are really delicious and unique. One of our fave Austin restaurants.

Red Ash failed on 3 of 5.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT-Upon entering the restaurant, I had to search for the hostess, who was hiding behind a post behind the stand and was uninterested for at least a full minute before saying hello.
AWARENESS- after checking in, we were directed to the bar. After standing in the overcrowded bar for 10 minutes with no acknowledgement from wait staff, we move back to the front of the restaurant, hoping someone would ask if we would like a drink, 30 minutes later I re-introduced myself to the hostess and asked to see the manager.
APOLOGIZE- After I explained to the manager what had gone on, I expected an apology. I received the "well, their very busy and these things happen" dialogue.
ACT-Anothrr 15 minutes past our reservation and not seated, he offered us a drink. Yes after 45 minutes of waiting, we were finally offered a drink. He comped it which was appreciated. Action to take care of a client
ADDITIONAL GENEROSITY- While our meal was being served, I noticed the manager taking with whom I believed to be the head chef and pointing at us. I thought, cool. He will come over and provide additional generosity- or at least acknowledgment. Nope, they just laughed and ignored us.
I go on about this as I am in customer service and Red Ash is supposed to be all about experience. It wasn't!
Joel our waiter was great and received a full tip.
Food review I will give...
Appetizer- roasted vine tomatoes and Burrata was amazing!
Cold water lobster served scampi style- way to much salt
Osso Buco- fall off the bone delicious but once again a bit too much salt.
Tiramisu- fabulous!
Final review - front of house needs work. Service during dinner- excellent. Food was fair to excellent. Will go again but maybe during the week to avoid the weekend madhouse.

Not used to eating food with so much oil. Don't get me wrong--the taste of each of our dishes was amazing. I never have eaten anything with bone marrow but tried theirs. Amazing! Very rich dish. I had the clams with spaghetti and they were very generous with the clams. My daughter and husband had a pasta dish and mentioned that chef was liberal with the olive oil. Would definitely recommend.

Wow! What a wonderful experience we had at Red Ash. The food is amazing, the best bread I have ever had. Our server, Brandy so enhanced our dining, descriptions of food and just a connection with us as diners. Amazing pastas and salads, steak bruschetta out of this world....lots of food to be shared in generous portions and very happy to take doggie bags home for gourmet leftovers.....will be back next time in Austin.....a little on the loud side but the food overrides the noise....go on a Monday early and avoid weekend happy hour! Still thinking about the bread! Mille grazie

After a few attempts in trying to make dinner at Red Ash, I was able to score reservations on Mothers Day! I think having been able to take my wife to Red Ash was more of a gift then the AirPods she received, that should tell you something (go to Red Ash if you haven't yet).

I found this place while I was walking towards my car one Saturday night and the smells from within caught my attention. So I returned it with my wife and a couple friends for her birthday not too long ago and the full experience did not let me down. Highly recommend for groups no more than four
