   The overall experience was good for the price. However, I went to the restaurant since it was participating in restaurant week. We reserved a time that was within the specified participation times on their website (Sunday lunch). When we arrived at the restaurant, they informed us that they wouldn’t be participating in recent week. False advertising if you ask me, which I didn’t appreciate.

   The service was amazing, the food portions were good and the food was tasty, will absolutely be coming back. We were sitting outside so it’s heard to speak to speak to the noise level. It’s also in a nice part of Williamsburg where you can walk around and find other things to do

   This was a truly amazing meal from beginning to end. The staff was simply amazing. My wife and I have never eaten at a French restaurant and this place was a great first. Everything we ate was mind blowing. French onion soup, escargot, charcuterie, beef bourguignon, panna cotta, and a poached pear. I would drive the 2.5 hrs to NYC just for this restaurant.

   We are on a date night spree at restaurants throughout the Burroughs. 5 across for Recette. Food, service, ambiance and cleanliness. Steak Frites, Octopus, Wild Mushroom Bread, spot on.

    My wife and I enjoyed an amazing dinner at this delightful restaurant in Williamsburg. The food and service were extremely high-quality, making us feel like we were sitting at a Michelin star restaurant in Paris. We started with escargot that was perfectly paired with a white wine (2016 Vincent Pouilly-Fume) which our knowledgeable waiter recommended. For mains, the gnocchi with mushrooms and seared scallop dishes were artfully prepared and delicious. The panna cotta and creme brulee desserts were to die for. Overall, we had a wonderful and memorable dining experience at Recette!

    Great food, great ambiance, really good service, a bit slow in a moment, but overall great. This wasnt an issue, but there were a lot of people and only two waiters, who were actually very nice but couldnt do more with so many tables at the same time. Loved it, recomending it 100%

    The seating inside is small with cafe tables, but they do have outdoor seating. I would not classify this restaurant as a French Restaurant but rather a Mediterranean Bistro with some French Classics. The food was executed well and all came out with the proper Temperatures. Our Rib Steak was the Highlight of our meal with Broccolini on the plate, The owner also sent us Brussels to try, defiantly order as a side. The Bar looked comfortable with many signature cocktails to choose from, and I would also eat there as well so you can be entertained by the Bartender.

    I brought my grandma here for dinner and if you can impress her pallete, then you know you have something going on! The crab cakes were fluffy with just the right hit of acidity. The branzino was also delicious and perfectly cooked.

    Amazing, amazing little spot in Williamsburg! Met up with a friend for a late birthday brunch - we couldn’t stop eating and split a bunch of dishes. The croque monsieur is out of this world!! It’s a must-try. We also loved the French onion soup, the burrata salad, and the kale & Brussels salad. The ambiance is super cozy and cute, too. Super smart and tardy cocktails, and a great wine list. Very nice bartender/server who was happy to make my birthday experience extra special. Give this place a try, you’ll love it!

    Wanted a nice evening out for dinner - way too loud inside to the point where we left with a pounding headache. Food was not that good either which was such a bummer because the other reviews rave about the food. I wanted to love it, but will not be back. Definitely not the place to go for a date night out where you actually want to talk and enjoy your meal. This is better for drinks after a dinner out.

    Perfect spot for date in Wiliamsburg! very cozy and exceptional service followed wth amazing cocktails and delicious French classics! Mussels and steak frites were so tasty but cream brulee was my favorite! Definitely coming back!!

    Great atmosphere, unfortunately very mediocre food. Steak tartare, escargot and mussels, all French basics, were fair at best. The wine we ordered was marked up over 75%! (Retail price $13, Recette price $88) Outrageous! We wouldn’t go back. Sorry

    Wonderful service. We went for restaurant week and were happily surprised. it was quiet when we first got there and then a few other tables filled up. The waitstaff was extremely attentive and the steak frites was delicious! Highly recommend the creme brulee.
