   Waiter walked around with my debit card instead of opening a tab. Then the chicken was not done. She only checked on us 1 time. They’ve gotten too bougie! I’ll pass

   Idk but the server I had was terrible!!!! She treated my table & the other black table, terrible!!! P.s my table were all black as well. But other than the terrible service, the ambience was great!

   Nice place to hangout with your friends. A little on the pricey side, especially for cocktails and the "bucket" of ice they serve them with, but not surprising these days. Overall, everyone in our party enjoyed the food. I would recommend

   My family came to celebrate Mother’s Day here. I’ve come 2 other times before and never had a problem. We exchanged gifts and my mother’s gifts that she brought had balloons. After an hour of sitting there the manager sent over the security guard to tell us we couldn’t have them. I was confused at 1. Why he never said anything. 2. Why he waited to send the African American security to the table full of African American women. I asked why he waited so long to say something to us and asked for the manager to come speak to me. He never came. EVER. He continued to walk past our table for the remainder of the the we were there. Needless to say my family and I can and will take our Mother’s Day tradition elsewhere.

    Food took nearly an hour to come out. The manager was very kind and comped the meal for us, and the server was polite. But, for a Mother's Day Brunch, this wasn't ideal. The food was also mediocre at best. We had planned to sit on the patio, but had to be moved inside due to the weather. It was very, very noisy.

    Really cool looking place inside and out. We got seated pretty quickly (outside as requested). Make sure you make reservations, even off prime hours. This would be a 4-5 star experience, but unfortunately we drew the short straw on the server that day. We didn't get acknowledged for a long time (were very thirsty) and thus wasn't sure who was assigned to us. When finally approached for a drink order, it took a very long time for our 2 draft beers to arrive. It kind of ruined the experience, close to 15 minutes before our first sip. We remained nice throughout, but server seemed distracted/disinterested. She rebounded a bit toward the end, and the food we ordered really was very good. I'm glad we visited, not sure if we will try again.

    Stopped by for a quick lunch and some booze free drinks before a concert. looking at other reviews, I do understand concerns. We were seated for quite a while before visited by our waitress (and in that time we waited, we were not brought water by anybody) but our waitress was nothing but kind an overly apologetic for the wait. It was also a beautiful day out yesterday, so I would guess maybe short staffed for the amount of people that were in there. I don’t know if you could really do much about that except maybe tone down how many people you let in. I ordered a nonalcoholic drink and we ordered the loaded tater tots to share. The tots were actually really awesome and hit the spot. After about a 30 minute wait (post ordering) I was brought a drink with alcohol in it which, after a few minutes, she realized I was brought the wrong drink and quickly fixed it by bringing me the correct drink. I’m only not drinking alcohol for health reasons, but I could see if I were someone who had more serious underlying issues for not drinking, I’d be pretty upset that I took a few sips of a drink with alcohol in it. But again she was nothing but kind and overly apologetic. Our bill was actually covered because it most definitely was not the greatest experience, but her kindness and personality alone made up for it. Seemed like a super fun atmosphere and somewhere I’d probably go again with a large group of people. Definitely not some where you can go if you have time restrains. If we didn’t have to head out for the concert, we probably would’ve hung around a little longer but by the time I got my nonalcoholic drink and the tater tots we didn’t have much time before we had to head out.

    Unfortunately, I cannot rate the food and drinks because we were not served anything. Although I had a reservation, no one came to our table until 20 minutes after my guests and I had been seated. Additionally, no one came to offer us water. I had to ask the host for water.     Food had hair in it and was cold. Drink glass was dirty. Tajin floating in it and the drink didnt have tajin in it. Server touched the table four times maybe? Would come back maybe to only drink

    I made a reservation one week prior. When we got there, the hostess told us that they would not be honoring our reservation as they were hosting a Bulls watch party. I never received a notification of any sorts from the restaurant about this. Luckily, we walked down the street to Tabu where we were promptly seated. Further, tabu actually comped us an appetizer as we had told them what happened at Recess. We will not be going back to Recess.

    Service was really slow. It took a long time to get a server at our table and drinks and food took a long time to get to our table as well. Our server was nice and apologetic but did little to make it right. One of my friend's food came out wrong but we didn't want to send it back because it took so long to come in the first. Disappointed bc the space is so great for outdoor dining/drinks.

    Drinks and food were decent. Seems like a cool vibe, I’m interested to come back in the summer time and utilize the outdoor space. We were also seated in off to the side area. Kind of felt like we were forgotten about at times.

    This visit was disappointing. Previously had been and had the elote burger, it is very good. This time we went during brunch on a Sunday and the elote burger was not available. That was on me, I did not check the brunch menu and it is considered a dinner item. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. There was a ton of cheese and the bun was sort of greasy. Also, I found a lot of fat in the pork. It was not very good or flavorful. We also ordered the chicken and waffle fries appetizer, those were very nice. Pricewise, I get things are expensive and dining out now is just going to be costly, but a glass of iced tea the size of a can of pop for $4 with no refills is really pushing it. I would go back to have the elote burger and try some other apps but will probably stick with water.
