We had a great time celebrating at the RPCH. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. We don’t typically spend that much on dinner, as it is pricy, but there was no let down. Everything we ordered was fantastic. Definitely try the tuna crudo if your a raw tuna fan. The flavors melded together in such a unique way with a crunch.
Amazing! Loved the service!
Food was tasty. I loved the crab cake it was made to perfection. Also had the Rigatoni pasta and bottle of Decoy wine. Service was outstanding. Definitely will be back.
Too expensive. I can get a steak in Annapolis for half the price.
Started with an unpleasant greeting. Ceaser salad was one of our favorites in the past, it was inedible this time tasted like bad fish. Limited menu not good at that price.
Our server brought drinks for everyone but one person. He didn’t come back so it was over 15 mins before I could flag him down for the final person.
He also forgot our appetizer. We had to remind him and we got it with dinner. Neither of these forgotten items were adjusted on the check, nor was a comp 2nd drink or something offered to her.
Sooooooooo sad that the ricotta (my most fav thing in this city) came with some flatbread crackers instead of the grilled bread. It completely changed the entire taste and I sadly wont be ordering that again. (Why change perfection?!)
Last, only 3 steaks on the menu, but I fully understand and accept the limited menu due to current circumstances.
Great Bday for Dave!
Rec Pier Chop House is always a pleasure. Our food was excellent, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere is always beautiful. They also have taken strong measures to ensure guest safety during the pandemic, and despite having to cut down their menu, still deliver an excellent meal and dining experience.
We ordered the Caesar salad, scallops, linguini with crab and jalapeño, rib eye, ricotta and crostini, and tuna. And the pumpkin cheesecake. Every single thing we ordered was absolutely delicious! The service was great. We did order an expensive bottle of wine and they brought out a different bottle for us 30 minutes later. We said it was wrong and they went back they didn’t have the one we ordered. Another 15 minutes. They were very apologetic and did everything they could to make it better. Very good experience with my husband and our friends.
Food was amazing. Waiter was lack luster but the GM and hostess were great!!!!
Way over priced and very limited menu. They were out of one of the 8 items on their menu. I was charged 22.00 for a glass of wine. Definitely not worth the money.
Best fine dining experience ever! Service was excellent, food was superb! Will definitely return!
Fantastic as always! Absolutely loved the new in-house dry aged steak.
We had an amazing experience here. Our waiter had an amazing command of the menu and descriptions were spot-on. From the appetizers to the pasta to the steak everything was well prepared and delicious. Highly recommend coming here if you have the opportunity.
was charged higher price than on menu!!?? Entree portion was the size of an appetizer. There was no service. saw waitperson once!??
Excellent Ribeye steak! The seafood selection is limited. The crab cake is not authentic Baltimore!
Everything was magnificent, safe, and memorable. So glad to have spent my birthday dinner in an establishment, where EVERYONE from the door hop, to concierge, chefs, and hosts ensured our time was one to remember.
Food was really good and the server was very informed.
Beautiful ambience, our server was a little busy but still made time to cater to us (forgot his name). 3 stars because of them menu:
I understand its COVID, however there were not a lot of menu items. The wording of some of the combinations are sure to throw the average guest off, however I don’t mind grilling the server on the details of each menu item, so we were able to uncover a few gems.
1. The sheeps milk ricotta (doesn’t sound sexy), however this was a delicious starter with a honey glaze on top and a creamy, whipped texture.
2. The crab cake: being in maryland, I may have liked it to be broiled and completely lump crab, however it was tasty with an interesting sauce.
3. The crab pasta: served with jalapeños (which I asked for on the side because I thought this was a weird topping for a pasta, which already had some spice to it) was phenomenal. With a lovely tomato cream sauce that our waiter said was popular.
We ordered a bottle of prosecco and our waiter added a few shots of some of sort of elderflower liqueur to it for sweetness. It was really nice, crisp, and I’ll admit—strong lol. My friends and I only order bottles when the drink menu doesn’t catch our attention and in this case, it did not.
Everything was amazing from the food to the service each and every staff members from arrival to departure was kind And attentive. While you will reach in your pockets for this meal overall it was well worth it.
I’m vegan so the food that was given to me was soooo good !! Good job! Bravo! The ambiance of it all the scenery!! Is to die for! I love it there. Nice place to have special birthdays, weddings, late night dates etc it was wonderful! We had a good time celebrating my 19th birthday with you guys! Wonderful
Great food and service will return again.
They wayyyyy over cooked my steak. Took 40 min or so to get water after seated. Service was very very poor. Food was average.
The food was amazing, the service was impeccable and the ambience was wonderful. Highly recommend for a group of friends, colleagues or even a romantic date!
Awesome place. Awesome vibe. Beautiful place. Incredible food and nice service. The Som was absolutely fantastic!
All was going well until they closed the kitchen before we’d even been served all our meal. We tried to order additional vegetables before entree was served and was told the kitchen was closed and dessert was not even offered because the Pastry Chef left. We were not even offered to preorder before they departed nor asked if we’d like anything else.
Horrible customer service!
We had a glass of chalk hill Chardonnay, swordfish, duck, Caesar salad. All excellent. Gracious service.. architecture is stunning.
Amazing food. Amazing experience overall. Our waiter Justin was the best. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to answer all of our questions. We will be returning in the very near future.
Nice spot a bit loud food and drinks was good definitely would come back courtyard was very nice
beautiful environment and great service, our waitress was great. actual meal, for the price, was ok. Dessert was fantastic.
GREAT Service and Very friendly staff! overall service has Awesome. But for the type of the restaurant the food was not very good. Our first entree was sent back not very good. Staff was very gracious on ordering another item. Second item was a little better! for the $136.00 bill the food should have been off the charts good but it wasn't.
Beautiful restaurant - our servicer, Erica, was great and the food was delicious!
I highly recommend for special occasions. I was there for my birthday and they made it special.
We will definitely go back and we also want to check out the outside bar.
Top notch dining experience. Very attentive, fun (if you want them to be) staff. Outstanding food. Definitely pay for what you get, but you get what you pay for.
Be prepared to wait. There is a long time between the first course and main course- almost an hour, and for linguini that’s entirely too long to wait.
This was my first time at Rec Pier Chop House. Everyone from the valet to the wait staff was supper professional and had great energy. It is obvious that they take the time to train their staff on the importance of customer service. We never once had to track down our waiter. There were several staff members that came to the table to check on us and were there to take any additional orders and to give recommendations. I loved it and will not make this my last time!
Everything was great the hostess was a little confused about the bruch option when she was seating us.
Made OpenTable reservation for February 15th. Arrive at restaurant and not told until seated that the sole dining option is a $125 prix fixe menu for 4 courses (1 appetizer, two small plates, 1 dessert). Again, there was NO option to select from their regular menu. The prix fixe food was small plate and effectively you got equivalent of 1 plate of food and small dessert for $125 per person.
The food quality was slightly better than moderate.
Overall, there are many many better restaurants in DC and Baltimore region where I would choose to go in the future and will recommend to my friends/family in the future.
I think if you are going to force patrons to a $125 prix fixe menu, then the onus is on the restaurant to warn people of this up front (event through the use of OpenTable).
My husband and I went there for a Valentines evening dinner. I have to say, I was surprised at the prefix menu as we were not told ahead of time that we would have no other choices. We expected that for spending $300 for 2, we would be getting some fabulous food. Unfortunately, that was not the case. My lobster risotto was a complete salt bomb along with my husband’s short ribs.
The halibut was just ok and our dessert was dry!
Overall, really disappointing. Not sure we will come back again, but I would really like to give it another chance.
Phenomenal
Definitely worth a visit! The chefs did a fantastic job coming up with a unique Valentine's Day menu. The drink pairings were excellent. Definitely recommend the short rib entree! Our waiter, Justin, was wonderful. Love the ambiance of Rec Pier, it is such a cool location. Would come again!!
