Rec Pier Chop House

The steak ordered had to be sent back to cook to the medium temperature ordered.
The sword fish was not hot and slightly on the dry side.
Brussel Sprouts were wonderful
Don’t think of this as just a steak house. My wife had swordfish andI had halibut—both outstanding. Don’t miss the smoked beets to.start. Dessert also fabulous. Service is superb.
My cousins and I were in town for the weekend, and we had an excellent experience here! The food and service was outstanding! Five star customer service! I wish that I could give more stars because, was just that incredible! It's been a long time where I've gone somewhere and was speechless. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. The dining area was gorgeous. I think the design and decor was masculine (in a good way) in the color scheme, sophisticated, modern and sexy. I loved the way it looked. It so nice to sit facing the window and be able to people watch. The food was absolutely amazing and delicious! I had the Prosecco Brunch. The crab cake was the best I've ever had. The steak and eggs were on point, and the bottomless mimosas were tasty. We also came back, later in the evening for a light snack before dinner and had the Maryland Blue Crab Cake, Blue Crab Linguini, and Caesar Salad. So good! Our server, Erica, was so knowledgeable and the city, the building, as well as, the menu. The server later that evening was super knowledgeable. She told us about everything. It was my first time at this restaurant, and felt confident ordering because, my waitress was able to guide me to making a decision based on her recommendations on the menu. I will most definitely return to this restaurant. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the Baltimore area. They really know how to treat you!
Service was outstanding start to finish!! I wish I wrote our servers name to shout out. Food was exceptional. Spectacular night all around. Can’t wait to come back. Best restaurant in Baltimore.
My Wife favorite spots to eat and take pictures. Trying to book a room so we can weak up and have brunch we you guys. Thanks again
We had a a amazing experience for our daughters 6th birthday. They gave her a card and a stuffed animal, the waitress was wonderful and attentive. The food was excellent. Everything had so much flavor to it. It was delicious. Would definitely recommend. We are most certainly going to return again.
I celebrated my birthday at the Rec Pier Chop House and it exceeded my expectations.
Julian, the valet was a delight and professionally courteous. The hostess, Megan and Marcelle diligently attended to my needs.
I look forward to returning for brunch.
What a great experience! The waitstaff was knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, and unobtrusive. The sommelier was perfect! The food was delicious— and as our waiter wisely noted, perfect for ‘family style’ dining. Can’t wait to return....highly recommend the Caesar salad, linguini with crab, and bomboloni!
Outstanding service. Our waiter, Joey, was tremendous. We had a great time and would certainly go back for any special occasion.
The restaurant is beautiful, but the food is okay. It is not worth the money with many other options in Baltimore.
The service was superior, reminiscent of treatment I receive when traveling to luxury resorts globally.
Everything was outstanding!!
Everything about our time at Rec Pier Chop House was lovely - we will definitely be back!
We decided to get out of the house christmas evening and spend it at the Pendry....we ate at Rec Pier and loved their Prix Fixe Menu (especially bc there was a special kids one as well). Food, service and the entire experience was great!
Amazing service. Amazing food. The staff was outstanding.
The service was excellent, the restaurant is beautiful and the food is great! Will definitely come again. My mom and I went for a Christmas Eve dinner and we were more than pleased.
Lovely Christmas Eve dining!
We had a great holiday celebration with our family - Great Service, lovely holiday atmosphere. Best Spaghetti and meatballs I've had out and the ribeye and petite filet were top notch - will return again. Also loved the atrium with the gas fired fire pits and the twinkling lights on the trees. Fun that they had a Champagne Vending Machine too!
When making the reservation, I was asked if this was for a special occasion. I answered that it was for a birthday. But the restaurant didn't do anything special for us - so why ask??
Loved the atmosphere. Service and food were fantastic.
AWESOME! Great food and great service aby all. We were celebrating a special occasion and the people there were fabulous.
Went on a Thursday and came back with my husband on Sunday. Halibut and Brussels sprouts are great! Best desserts ever. Valet is $20 so keep driving to find that parking space. You might get lucky
The food is WAY overpriced for the quality and the menu is very limited. I ordered a swordfish which was advertised as being grilled. What I got was an almost flavourless lump of something that tasted as if it had just been taken from the freezer and reheated in a microwave. The sauce was nothing special and the rapini was overcooked and added nothing to the dish. We shared some donuts which tasted as they had come from Dunkin Donuts. A truly awful dinning experience, actually one of the worst that I have ever had and I eat out a lot. Will NEVER return and have already told several friends to not even think about going there!
Toto we are not in Kansas anymore! This place makes you proud to be from Baltimore. Just delightful atmosphere, service and food. Everyone should experience the Rec Pier Chop House!!!!
Seating for two is problematic - available seating mostly adjacent to a very noisy and crowded bar. It appears that the restaurant is designed for larger groups. In all fairness, it was a busy holiday Saturday reservation. We ordered Caesar Salad, Halibut, 8 oz Filet Mignon with Bone Marrow Au Poivre sauce, and Broccoli Rabe with Guanciale.
-Caesar Salad was tasty and large enough portion to serve two. We would order it again.
-Halibut was overcooked, with a sweet Tomato Chutney (not to our taste with a hint of cinnamon).
-Filet cooked to the right temperature; fortunately we requested the Bone Marrow sauce on the side; the sauce did not carry the bone marrow flavor, so to us it was a miss - compound butter would have done more.
-Broccoli Rabe was tasty but the plate was mostly stalks.
Wine selection was good.
It was difficult to judge service because the restaurant was very busy - the waiting staff was slammed.
At $38 for the Halibut and $46 for the Filet the taste/price equation did not compute.
We had a wonderful dinner all around. The ambiance, the view of the happenings outside, a fantastic server with impeccable recommendations and every bite was delicious. Definitely recommend for special celebrations.
Service was excellent for my wife’s Birthday dinner. The restaurant was excellent and very hospitable and made it a very memorable night for my wife.
Our dinner at Rec Pier Friday night was divine. I'd taken some business colleagues there over a month ago and was a bit disappointed by a pasta dish. But Friday was truly delicious. Everything was perfect. The wait staff were attendant to our pace, the drinks were cold and luscious, the pasta was al dente and savory, and the steak that we all shared was to die for. A perfect evening. Thank you.
Location and ambiance were incredible. The food was absolutely delicious. Had a party of 6 and ate family style, so we sampled almost everything on the menu except the pasta dishes. It was all excellent from the apps, to entrees, through dessert. My favorites were the crab cake app, rib-eye, and brussels sprouts. The service couldn't have been better. Highly, highly recommend.
Our entire dining experience was excellent. The food was delicious, the service was perfect and the ambiance was great. We will definitely return to the Rec Pier Chop House in the future.
The food and service were both excellent! Would definitely come again!
We loved our experience at Rec Pier Chop House. Excellent, attentive yet friendly service. High quality inventive dishes with lovely presentation. We didn’t have one bite of food that wasn’t of the highest quality. We’ll definitely return.
Went for birthday dinner, zero acknowledgement for birthday. Prior trips there were nice. The server was rude and didn’t seem to care about our dining experience. Very disappointing dinner.
The service was amazing and the food was good. Our server was Ian and he was so knowledgeable about everything and provided excellent customer service. We were very impressed that we ended up going to brunch the next morning and the food was delicious.
Excellent from start to finish!
Nothing very special about the food
A storybook picturesque space craftily designed to meld the origin of this venue...but...culinarily...improvements should be made with time and temperature of pasta! Additionally, burrata turns to mozzarella if too long is the case, and in this case, that is 100% true! So some obvious reconfiguring is needed! Otherwise, phenomenal food with some slight nudging required to attain 5star!
Ordered the halibut. It seemed like it was precooked and reheated. Pretty sad for such a beautiful space.
