First time here. Great atmosphere, food and drinks. The bartender Juan is awesome, personable and just know how to keep a conversation. Highly recommended!
Great food. Service is good. Could use some refining. Sat for awhile with no attention. Will definitely return tho
Waiter never asked if we wanted more drinks, nor dessert
Group of 10 - Service and attentiveness were poor - more than once, had to flag an employee who happened to be going by to order drinks because our waitress was persona non grata from time food arrived until we were ready for the check.
Terrible service. We waited 2+ hours for the first 2 courses. Finally when the 3rd course arrived it was ice cold and no sides (waited 10 more min still no sides). Waitress did not seem to care the first 2 hours that we were waiting. She would bring the wine pairing, drop it on the table without even saying what it is and then we would wait another 20-30 min for the course to show up. On top of all of that it was freezing in the restaurant. We had mentioned it to 3 different people before they actually turned up the temperature (2 hours later). Terrible experience, would never go back
I went for Valentine Day with my wife. We had the prix-fix menu. First time we experienced only (1) Main meal came with prix-fix meal to share. We plan to go back and try regular menu.
The Valentine's Day dinner at Rebel's Guild was excellent regarding food quality. The Poutine appetizer was good but lacked more gravy, the cornbread was fantastic. Both entrees (short rib and rack of lamb) were great as well. Service was extraordinarily slow though, took until nearly the end of the meal to get our drinks (one glass of wine and one ginger ale).
Too too noisy
Conversations a problem
Alex was great!
Went on a Saturday night. Wasn't super busy and the server was kind enough to seat us in a quiet corner away from the bar. My boyfriend got the salmon sandwich, which he said was THE BEST salmon sandwich he had ever had. It was delicious. I got the chicken under brick which was cooked well and came with a really good pan reduction. A date night win, for sure!
Great place for pre or post theater. Service was very good. We were celebrating a 13 year old birthday. Made her feel special!
Great place. Good beer selection. Would return.
I would recommend it for an easy meal before a show, which is what we did. The service was quick and good. The place was quiet mostly because there were very few people at 6:00.
We were promptly seated (early in fact, as we had arrived early) for our reservation. We were a party of 7, two couples and three kids). The food was delicious. The cocktails were creative and refreshing. I cannot recall their names to mention here. Our waitress Chantelle was the best! She knew what she was doing. She was both friendly and professional. No attitude at all, which is so refreshing compared to so many others sadly in the industry. We plan on telling others to check it out and ask for Chantelle. Commended her to the Food and Beverage Manager, Athanasios. who too was very nice and accommodating. Cannot wait to go back!!
Excellent food, and ambiance. If you haven't been, you must go!
It was New Year’s Eve and the menu looked amazing! Too bad we didn’t get to experience the menu... because they had a preset/fixed menu!
There was 0 mention of this ANYWHERE. We would NOT have gone here if that was the case. Not cool Rebel’s Guild,.. completely misleading.
The filet was very good, but the scallops were dry.
Overall, it was quiet on NYE, no mention/advertisement of a fixed menu, and the food was OK. The best part of the night was our server, she was very sweet.
After looking at the menu online we made a reservation on New Years Eve as we were in town for a concert and when we arrived there was a set menu for New Years that wasn't mentioned at all so when we arrived we were offered and 89.00 set menu which we were not interested in so we left, this left us to find another last minute place to eat elsewhere on NYE which as you know can prove difficult last minute. It would have been nice if I was made aware that this would be the only option. I wasn't interested in 89.00 roasted squash salad and desert. Wine another 50.00. Very unhappy about the situation
We enjoyed the Grinch’s brunch one day and dinner with a large group another day. Food was very good. Excellent service. Would definitely recommend.
The evening was fine. We arrived at 4:00 to ensure that we would have time before a 6:30 show. Unfortunately, 4:00 is their limbo time and the dinner menu was not available until 5:00. We took some time with some drinks and apps and then dinner ordered at 5:00. The food was good, the servings were modest. I might return when I plan to arrive after 5:00 or for lunch.
We had less than an hour before heading to the theater. The waiter was excellent about getting our food to us in a timely fashion. The restaurant was decorated beautifully and the staff could not have been nicer. This was our first time at Rebels Guild. We will return.
Location worked out fabulous as we parked in the garage and were grabbing lunch before the theater matinee. Loved the historic, quiet, yet modern vibe. Service was great. Food was ok. My sister enjoyed her seared salmon. The French dip was fine, a bit messy to eat. Chips were a little bitter salty for me. Dad ordered the blue cheese burger and there was no bleu cheese on it so had to wait a while to mention it to waiter. The fries were pretty good. Overall pleasant experience and good timing before heading to theater.
A beautiful place with beautiful holiday decorations and terrific food. Service was polite, personable and professional. Won’t hesitate to recommend or return.
Great vibe. Solid food with Creative efforts on every dish.
Everything was great except for not having gluten-free beer
Great place to have a bite before going to the theater
This place was AMAZING. The mixologist sat down with us and talked. She then picked out the most delicious drinks for us! Would for sure come back!!
Waiter was extremely unpleasant food was terrible the best thing was the cornbread best we ever had
Good time, good food. No complaints
This was our first trip to Rebel's Guild and we will definitely return. The grilled cauliflower was incredible as was the Caesar salad. I highly recommend it to anyone who lives in or travels to Boston.
We arrived for a 3:45 reservation. The hostess wasn't at the stand. We waited around for about 5 minutes until we were seated. Our waiter came over and immediately told us he normally does dinner and it was his first time doing lunch. We order non alcoholic drinks and those took forever and came warm without ice and that's not how we requested them. We order a Mac n Cheese with ham to start with and after 30 minutes the waiter says I didn't put the Mac n Cheese in because I was waiting for your orders. We reminded him that we wanted it first, it comes out about 20 minutes later and its without ham. The waiter says th that it has ham, we dig in and there's no ham. He brings up a new one with ham and it was great. The flavor with the ham had a smokey taste and it was delicious. We all ordered the same burgers minus an ingredient or two and with the hard fried eggs. Every burger came out wrong or with an undercooked egg. Quite a disappointment for a $16 burger that we were all excited about. Lunch lasted about 2.5 hours and most of that time was wasted waiting for food or correcting the order. I think our waiter had a rough night the night before and it was apparent, especially considering the place was empty.
Service is extremely slow and very inconsistent. We were dining as a group but were served in waves. A few received their initial drinks after waiting 15+ minutes. Staffing appeared to be an issue considering we were a large party.
Very slow service. Food was ok for price. Probably would not recommend considering dining options in the area
Service was lacking, food was just ok.
We came for brunch and the restaurant was nearly empty. Service was not exceptional. Flatbread was good as was the avocado toast. However, we ordered the burger medium rare and it was too well done for our taste. Since the three of us shared everything, we just let it go. Not rushing back.
So first time diner at Rebels guild . Jorge was an amazing and attentive waiter with recommendation for both drinks and meals.
Convenient location for meal before theater. Food was good and service was friendly and helpful.
Limited menu, but food pretty good. Very friendly and efficient service
The decor was out of this world, and the food was insanely good. The maple skillet cornbread, I can eat nothing but that for a week and be happy. Service was great, we had a very attentive, cheerful waiter. Highly, highly recommend this place. Will definitely go back again.
A great place for us for a quick meal before a show. The ambiance is great and the food was delicious. Excellent service.
