We are Francesca and Matteo Ronzio from Italy, we fell in love with Boston after a trip to New England a few years ago. Here at Real Italian Gusto we love to expose patrons to authentic Italian food and dining customs. It will be just like coming to Italy if you enter our shop, which is exactly our goal.

Real Italian Gusto is a great place to enjoy traditional Italian dishes that feature both local ingredients and Italian import but it is also a place to find imported Italian goods, such as olive oils, sauces, pasta.

We have imported a fifth generation pizza chef from Naples, Ciro Langella, and an oven from Florence to add to the authenticity.

Excellent everything! Food was great and perfect sized portions. I love the Bolognese. Herself loves the carbonara. Nice drinks. Place is spotless too.

What a gem. I live one town over and this place is four miles from my house. Was lamenting the lack of really good Italian restaurant within ten minutes and friends suggested this place. Family owned and operated and the food, drinks and dessert all A plus. This is my new spot.

Great spot for dinner or drinks. The pizza here is authentic Neopolitan style and is excellent. If you are looking for true Southern Italian cooking and pizza, then I highly recommend The Real Gusto. Worth the trip!

The food was great. There was 6 of us and we all enjoyed our dishes. We even shared plates! The server was amazing! Drinks were great too! It’s a small place but really cool with the open kitchen.

The food was delicious but the wine offerings were very limited. I opted for a cocktail instead and it was not at all what I requested. After tasting several wines that I didn’t care for, I figured a basic vodka drink would be a no-brainer but, not so much... I’ve eaten here before and will probably eat here again. The restaurant is visually pleasing, especially the bar area. The food is really quite good. The service was, in my opinion, 7/10. She was fine but not outstanding. It was not very busy, maybe 3 or 4 other parties.

We made a reservation for 4, had never eaten at this restaurant. Pleasantly surprised at the ambiance, very modern, bright & clean. Unfortunately that's where our experience ended! We ordered drinks that were VERY slow getting to the table. Next ordered an appetizer that never arrived then TRIED to order dinner. We wanted to order Chicken Marsala & Chicken Limone & asked our server to replace the mashed potatoes for pasta. This proved to be a very BIG DEAL! Our server said that this wasn't possible, when we asked why she sent another another server to reiterate the same thing. When we weren't satisfied with that response the owner came to our table & explained that our request wasn't reasonable because in his country (Italy), mashed potatoes were authentic for the dishes we requested & apparently pasta was not. When we tried to explain that we preferred pasta, the owner became indignant & insulted at our request stating he had no choice but to adhere to his menu. UNACCEPTABLE for customers with a simple request not to be accommodated! His stubbornness & shortcomings alienated new customers who were initially excited about trying a restaurant we had never been to before. We will NEVER come to Real Gusto again & will be sure to tell our friends and family to NEVER step foot in this so called restaurant...extremely dissapointing!

My mother, my 2 preteen daughters and myself had a great end-of-camp dinner here! Will definitely come back again. The Cioppino was fantastic, and the Bolognese sauce outstanding. Highly recommended.
