Ray's on the River
smoked bacon, chive tartar sauce, bibb lettuce, vine ripened tomato
The food was awesome. The butter was to die for. Service was good but should have been better for that price point. Would we go back... definitely.
Lunch for a birthday. Food was wonderful. Service was excellent. Thanks Leo for making it a special meal.
I felt Very safe with their techniques to keep the customers and the employees safe. The menu is a little limited because of the situation but we were very happy, and they made her anniversary super. Dylan and John were an excellent service team. We were very pleased
Food & the service was outstanding! Views were also great!
Great service ❤️
Unbelievable experience. Ali and her assistant Jess provided a great overall dining experience. Service was perfect. Friendly and very knowledgeable.
We eat alfresco it was fabulous
First time here and it was fabulous. Service was top notch. Food was fantastic. Dessert was the best I’ve ever had (lemon cake). View was such a romantic setting. This was our anniversary dinner and we were very pleased we chose Rays on The River. We will be back.
As usual, restaurants with a good view typically do not have the best food or wait staff.
Waiter would disappear for 15 minutes. Never water or tea. Steaks were all undercooked but once dropped off no one came back to check. Assuming because of vivid not enough waiters. Also waited 10 minutes to be seated. Very disappointing
Our reservations were at 6:30 Sunday evening. The front house staff were very good. Once we were seated it took 30 minutes to be treated by a waiter. Tables that were seated after us were being greeted but not us. Finally, our waiter came took our drink & appetizer order. We did not see him again for another 20 minutes. When he brought our drinks he was about to walk away again and my husband told him we were ready to order. We placed our order and waited again. Finally had to ask about our appetizer took another 15 minutes to get our salads then after that the appetizer ame out. We were starving by now and waited another 20 minutes for our entre. The food was delish and we loved it but the service was extremely disappointing. We arrived at the restaurant at 6:20pm and did not leave until 8:40 due to terrible service. We were prepared for slow service due to the environment today but others around us seemed to enjoy their experience but not us. We were celebrating a birthday which was very disappointing how we were treated.
One of my favorite restaurants. In light of our world circumstances, my husband and I were a little skeptical about celebrating our anniversary “out”.
After reading the precautions Ray’s had in place we felt comfortable enough to go. Once we arrived we felt even more comfortable. Our temps were taken immediately upon entering, staff were in mask, plexiglass between booths, and as always the place was Immaculate. We felt safe!
Additionally the reason Ray’s on the River is one of our favorites is due to the excellent food, beautiful view, and dynamic service. Dylan & Cassandra did not let us down, they were on top of it!
Thank you to the whole team for easing our minds with your safely measures while still ensuring a delightful dinner experience!

Dylan and Cass were fantastic. Amazing service. This was the first restaurant we’d been to since the pandemic and they made us feel very comfortable. The food was delicious we can’t wait to come back.
Out of town guests in for a Special visit.
Ray's has the best view for dining in Atlanta. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and professional. Many steps have been taken to ensure a safe dining experience. Go and enjoy!
Our server forgot about our round of drinks and steak sauce and when reminded he seemed to have an attitude. A lady that seemed to be over either servers or seating came to ask if we needed anything and my wife was asking if there were any deserts. The lady just kept saying yes to whatever my wife was asking not even listening. I’m assuming we were seated where we were too long, but by far not our fault. By the time the steak sauce came, my wife’s steak was cold. She then order a red velvet cake and forgot to ask for it to go. The server placed it into a container and bag for us ... then say the bag WITH FOOD in it ON THE FLOOR. Definition of poor service.
And I almost forgot about the flu that was bothering us our ENTIRE meal. The server even swatted at it a few times.
Great 1st Experience
Ally and Cassandra gave Top Shelf service all the way. From Knowledge, Exceptional Personalities and Never Empty Mimosas.
These ladies made brunch 1st class!
Food was incredible as usual.
Always an amazing experience. We highly recommend this place.
Everything from the service to the food was superb.
Server was awesome accommodating my party while I was running late. Thank you again!
This was our first visit at Rays on the River. It’s a nice place to have a date night. The food was good and the service was Awesome!! Bryan and Ryan gave great service and I hope go get them on our next visit
Excellent Service and Food!
Everything went absolutely well.
Holy crap! It was amazing. The most perfect meal. I was blown away at the service and food quality. I go to a lot of restaurants. I was highly impressed. Total thumbs-up! Thank you to Alyssa and Jeremy for great service! I loved my experience!
This food is just a little better than a cruise ship. All the sides were cold and everyone’s meat was overcooked. The raw oysters were delish but not for $36 a dozen. The ahi tuna poke was good too. The martinis and view of the river kept me from being unpleasant. Also the “parm truffle fries” are not what I expected. Probably the same French fry supplier as the braves stadium. And then dumping grated Parmesan on top....
The kahlua cheesecake was yum !
I will goto canoe instead !!!
Jess was our waitress and she was lovely !
Our sever was pleasant and professional. Easy to talk to and helpful
Yes, the food was great; the wine was great; the outdoor seating looking down on the Chattahoochee River was great. But what impressed us most in this pandemic time were the alcohol swipes at the entrance and the temperature check at the desk. Now that is really taking care of one's customers. Five stars to Ray's for that alone.
We had a party of 7 who dined outside on the lawn by the river. There were no tables for 7, but I suggested two of us sit at one end, and your servers were very accommodating. It was my husband's daughter's 50th birthday, and we wanted to make it special. It turned out to be a very special evening, and we could not have asked for anything more. Alyssa and Devon were absolutely wonderful and perfect as they took care of us. They were attentive, yet understanding when some in our group were not ready to order. They suggested appetizers, and we wound up getting the hot appetizer dish for the table. Plus, my husband and his friend ordered fresh oysters for themselves. We also enjoyed sparkling wine for the occasion, along with two bottles of chardonnay. Devon told us about the special salmon from the Northwest, which I ordered and was very pleased. Everyone else ordered various entrees that they also enjoyed. We were pleasantly full, yet we also ordered desserts that were amazing. We appreciate your providing a slice of birthday cake for our birthday girl/woman and a box to put it in. Thanks to Alyssa and Devon and your entire staff for providing us with an outstanding evening of fun.
Ryan and his partner did a wonderful job serving and welcoming us back. Great views of the river as always. The food and presentation were fabulous. Thank you for opening your doors and making us feel comfortable and welcomed. Diane T
First time here, it was amazing. Food, service, knowledge of menu.....Excellent!!
Enjoyed a night of great food, atmosphere, and service. It was our first time there but for sure we will be back!
Great food, great service. Wine is excellently priced although limited selection. Food is a bit overpriced, cocktails are overly expensive. $30 (including tips) for Tanqueray martini and well mojito.
Outstanding as always. Wife and I had a great time celebrating our 19th Wedding Anniversary there. Staff and food were excellent.
My husband and I went to Rays on the River for our 2nd Anniversary. We chose to sit inside and dine. Our servers Michael and Devan were amazing. They took their time to explain the menu and give us great recommendations. I’m this new environment of social distancing, they wore masks and gloves and the restaurant also had hand sanitizer available for us as we arrived and as we left. I definitely recommend Rays in the River.
Lovely view, excellent food, terrific service . . . just right!
Wonderful experience. Fantastic food and service from Charles and Jessica. Dinner here made our Anniversary even nicer.
Very good experience. I was amazed at the level Ray's took to help keep everyone safe during these trying times.
Amazing best food I’ve had in a long time.
We love the ambience of Ray’s, with the view of the river. They were very health-conscious, but also very friendly. The food and service were both excellent, and they let my wife order off a different menu, so she could get what she wanted for her birthday lunch. An outstanding experience.
Our 35th anniversary outside on the lawn along side the river was elegant!
Heather was our server and is top notch. We told her we wanted to take our time and enjoy the view and the meal. She set the pace perfectly as per our wishes. We shared an appetizer of oyster Rockefeller although only 5 oysters is was generously prepared and was enough.
My wife enjoyed the scallop and risotto for dinner done to perfection! We finished with butter cake and creme brulee.
This place always is a special meal!
