Always a great meal. The service was better than usual. The view is unbeatable!
It was very chill and romantic. My date enjoyed this restaurant.
As always, outstanding dining experience. Food and service top
Very pleasant, Window view of the river, service was there but not obtrusive, food was good but no wow factor.
This was exactly what I had hoped for my husbands 40th birthday get together. The staff went above and beyond.
We absolutely loved the food and service!!! We can’t WAIT to return!!
I was very disappointed in the service tonight. We didn’t see much of our waiter all evening. Other than the first glass out of each bottle no one poured our wine again. They apparently forgot the two side dishes we ordered for the table. I had to ask about them and we had eaten half of the meal before they came. The food was good but just warm when it was served. When I spend this much for a meal again I will expect better!
They fulfilled my special reservation request beautifully:
Please, please seat us so that she/we can have a wonderful “romantic view” of the river!
This is her birthday and you guys were the restaurant she requested...
Princess Diane has never been to “Ray’s On The River”...
Kindest Regards - sir charles
Service was outstanding. We had the shrimp appetizer and it was excellent. The scallop and lobster risoto entree was great. My swordfish was cooked well but it was a meager portion.
While the service and view was amazing, the food was disappointing. There was very little flavor in any of the entrees we ordered. We were there for a birthday celebration and it was not once recognized.
Took my wife for her birthday and we had a seat by the lake. It was beautiful and the food was great.
In light of the Coronavirus and social distancing, we took our chances and went out for dinner. They stepped up their sanitizing measures and I really appreciated that. The service was amazing. I was unsure what side to choose for my ribeye, and I went with the lobster risotto which was amazing!!!!! All food was amazing! My server actually brought my second choice of side, mashed potatoes and that was amazing as well! The desserts we had were the creme brûlée and the warm butter cake.... AMAZING!!! Appetizers were cocktail shrimp and the goat cheese pimento balls... also AMAZING! My only cons, which isn’t much or really that horrible, was the lighting and the temperature. It was pretty dark and a little warmer than I like. Overall I enjoyed everything! I cant wait to go back and try something different... but get some of the same things again!
I applaud the restaurant for taking the coronavirus recommendations seriously. They took out tables so that there is more room between tables and one can actually be more than 6 feet away from other diners. They had hand sanitizer available right at the check in point. Utensils were wrapped inside the napkin and not just laying on the tables. Doubt other restaurants are doing this. Good job!!! The food was wonderful and portions are large. Hope they can stay open or at least convert to a good take out option as this pandemic intensifies.
Our first visit was wonderful. My father-in-law loved it! We were celebrating his 91st birthday. They enjoyed the view, the service and the food!!!
Great ambiance for a birthday celebration
Great experience! Everything was great! Thank you!
Good food and service. Great place to celebrate our 20th anniversary.
Was a little slow! Took over a hour for lunch!
Amazing view of the river...relaxing!
Went for my birthday. Table for 12 for Sunday brunch. Although I waited 10mins for my full party to arrive, I still had to wait to have the table cleaned and ready. I requested seating with a view, that was not granted although open seating by the lake view for the entire time I was there. Food was good and work the price. Cocktails not included. Overall I had a nice time! Would recommend.
This was my second time at "Ray's on the River." The Sunday brunch was for my birthday. Eight of us dined and the brunch choices were outstanding. Our server was a nice young man, Brian, I believe is his name.
I did not like where we were seated because it was near the "offset" room where people had to come in and out of the door near our table quite often and although the weather was beautiful outside, the breeze felt as the door opened was quite chilly. I should have requested a table in the "inner" room but didn't was would not do that at the time we were assigned our table. Next time, I will make a request.
Everyone, however had a nice time and did not complain.
Brunch is loud and not much better than a cheap buffet. Plates stacked on tables, gigantic tables of low class clientele and screaming kids. Not a lot of vegetable/vegan options. Seems like mostly prepackaged food and desserts. Crab cakes soggy & full of shell pieces. Only one salad dressing option. Some dishes not stocked consistently. Not even close to the high quality food served at dinner. Not worth the $40 a person.
Great experience thought there would be more variety
Nothing great! The food is mediocre, ambiance is good and our server was good. Seating is very close to each other, people were very close to each other. It did not meet the hype, maybe because I have had exceptional brunches in other states and countries.
Delicious brunch! Bottomless mimosas in a beautiful setting!
Hello! Thanks for the kind words! We hope to see you at brunch again soon.
It was the second visit to your restaurant and I must say it was great as expected! The food was so Well prepared, tasted excellent and the service was remarkable. Cant wait for our third visit!
Great, great service, food was very good and flexible enough to allow us to split our main dish between us. Will be back!!!!
Service was great, operation seem to be very organized. Everyone was professional and polite. Food was extremely wonderful!!
Worth the trip, several times, bravo!
Outstanding as always.
We had a lovely dining experience at Ray's on the River. The standards for ambiance, food, and service at this restaurant have remained high throughout the years. I want to particularly praise our server Ali, who was delightful and adorable! She greeted us warmly, accommodated all of our requests cheerfully, and was an all-around excellent server. She even went out of her way to try to get the temperature adjusted when we felt it had gotten much colder in the restaurant. We will be sure to ask for Ali the next time we dine at your restaurant!
Our reservations were at 7:30 on Friday evening, We were a party of 5 and it took us 3.5 hours to eat!!!! The best part of the night was the Sommelier...he gave us a great background of the wine and interesting information about the winery! That was were the ‘good’ part of the evening stopped! The server paid very little attention to what we said and was horrible at keeping our water glasses full....we had to ask for more water at least 3 times!! The waitress must have had too many tables because we only saw her a few times! They not only forgot my sons scallops he added to his steak, they never brought more bread as requested and they forgot that it was my sons birthday! The service was ridiculously slow!!! Since the review asked about ambience...I will say that none of the candles at the tables were lit!! It was very dark and frankly, it was like just being at any other restaurant! Nothing special! So VERY DISAPPOINTING! We have eaten there several times and I even hosted a baby shower there! Will not go back!!!
I purposed to my boyfriend.
Service was very slow and food was not good. Want go beck.
As always, a great night at Ray's. Nice trio and attentive staff in the lounge. Great food .. we split the Cowboy Ribeye (and had a to-go box). Great portions for the price.
Great food, outstanding service. Great steak and seafood restaurant and especially great for expense accounts!
Our server deserves a raise. She was fantastic.
Outstanding dinner, once again. We always come here for dinner before visiting at The Home Depot HQ for business.
We had a very personable young woman, Ms. Ali Ashley, as our server who did a great job. The hostess also did a fine job of holding my reservation until my dinner companion arrived from the airport.
The bar was terrific as well. The bar tender made a delicious cocktail. About the only complaint that I would make is that there was another matron at the bar carrying on a long and loud FaceTime video with someone. It was rude and inconsiderate to your other guests.
Perhaps there is a way to gently nudge such people to take calls elsewhere? It was downright obnoxious.
Everything was absolutely excellent!
Hello 1Me1! Thanks for the kind words and for telling us about your experience at Ray's on the River. We look forward to serving you again soon!
