Service and food quality was great. Only complaint was that we were cold throughout the entire meal...sitting next to the window, feet and body was cold throughout meal.
We’re regulars living in the townhouse development next door. Terribly reliable except when too busy on the weekend. If you can, ask for Toufic, the best waiter in Atlanta. Great ambiance and setting. Very reliable food. Still going strong after all these years.
Celebrated my husbands birthday here. We enjoyed the wine choice and the delicious food. Our waiter was so attentive. The dessert was fantastic! We both agreed it was one of the best meals we’ve ever eaten!
This place was aaaaamazing. We were running late for our reservation, but we were accommodated & seated right away with no problem! We got a great table with a pretty view of the river & our waitress was the best! She answered ALL our questions about the menu & made excellent recommendations. We were so happy with everything, the food & drinks were delicious, service on point, & ambiance so pleasant. Can’t wait to come back!
Dinner. No view of the river but of traffic lights on 285. No music but chatter of a large business dinner in our section, Candle on our table wasn’t lit, no art to look at or anything interesting about the decor. The servers station next to our table smelled sour and commotion of servers entering orders was distracting. For special occasions we eat out not just for a delicious meal and great service but for a relaxing lovely atmosphere. This seating section needs some attention.
A friend turning 85!! We always come for birthday parties
The Lobster Risotto is EYE opening. If you order steak ensure to order medium well at best, well done is a little too much, but still everything was delicious.
Great food. Great Service. I love coming here and would recommend anyone to visit.
Everything was great had a very outstanding late Valentine’s Day celebrations with my significant other. She was very happy with the overall experience. Thank you.
Menu online different than one at restaurant was not at all the same. Went Sunday after Valentine’s Day was disappointed that they only offered valentine day menu but was not Valentine’s Day. Could not have what I saw on online menu. Had to send my steak back not done properly.
We came here for our anniversary and they did not have our tomahawk steak so we had to settle for something else. Also we asked for medium and they brought out a stead that was well done and had to remake the steak. Service was fine but overall not impressed with one of our favorite restaurants.
Food was delicious, however, the SERVICE was absolutely HORRIBLE! Unacceptable, honestly (and I never give bad reviews). We will not be returning to Rays on the River, which is unfortunate. Our drink orders (alcohol) and appetizer orders weren’t taken until our main entrees were ordered. (Took about 20 minutes for a waiter to greet us after being seated.) One person didn’t receive their drink until food arrived. Had to request more water twice. Never received the complimentary bread to go with our salads. (Every other table had it so it was obvious.) Had to ask for the bread and even then the waiter forgot and it wasn’t delivered for another 30 minutes. Complained to the manager when he brought out the food, then we all of a sudden had two waiters asking if we needed anything. Too late at that point. We spent over $300 but felt like we were ignored the entire night. It was so dark that we all had to use the flashlights on our phones just to read the menu. (Our table had no light.) The restaurant was busy, and this was Valentine’s weekend, but that’s no excuse for the poor service we received at a highly rated, top notch establishment.
It’s was two days after Valentines so we assumed the service would be good. It took over a hour to get our food and then it’s was lukewarm. People that ordered after us got their food before us.
We had requested in Advance for a window river view but got stuck in a small booth.
I honestly think they were understaffed.
I hate to leave a negative review because I’ve enjoyed going there.
We had reservations to celebrate Valentine’s Day. We were seated within 10 mins, which was great. Everything we got was delicious but I don’t recommend getting the scallops. It is very overpriced for 3 tiny scallops with tons of risotto. I had to ask for some of my husband’s crab cakes because it wasn’t enough. If I knew, I would’ve gotten something else.
Enjoyed the food and the experience. However, perhaps because it was Valentine's Day weekend, they apparently had the B team serving and it was not up to their usual high standards.
Great food and service! We enjoyed ourselves and the front desk staff was very helpful!
Delicious food...superb customer service...nice environment.. conplimentary valet parking was excellent
Great Valentine’s Day and Date location! Sunday Brunch was wonderful, food outstanding and ambiance spectacular. Definitely our favorite in Atlanta.
Little food choices, dirty silverware. You had to tip two waiters as they share tips. Food not worth the price. You pay for view. Need a Better quality of music, chef screwed up my order. Tippy table. Not worth the 42.00 pp price. Open table was great though as soon as we got there we were seated within 10 minutes. Prime rib was better at buying from Publix. Moldy like watery taste from shrimp.
The brunch buffet is very good but is overpriced. Service was great.
LOVE this Sunday Brunch! Excellent food and service. Just a little pricey.
You always get what you pay for with Ray’s Sunday Brunch! Excellent service, selection, and ambiance.
Ray's was just as we expected..wonderful. Our birthday party of four was seated by the window as we had asked, so it means they pay attention to requests. We enjoyed the Sunday brunch and it was delicious with a combo of breakfast and lunch choices. Our servers were Jessica, Eddie and "soon to be chiro" Robert and they were so attentive, humorous and personable with us which added to the enjoyment. It's the perfect setting with the outdoor paths and view of the river so we were thoroughly pleased with everything.
It is always great to dine at "Rays on the River". We had a beautiful window table. The service was excellent. I made reservations for May 17, 2020. I requested a window table. My guest has never dine at "Rays on the River". I won't her to have a wonderful experience. We'll the Sunday Buffet Brunch. An "Outstanding Restaurant.
Such wonderful service. It was a great Sunday brunch date!
We got there early for our reservations and they were still able to seat us without much of a wait.
Service and food was great. I listed that this was a birthday celebration on the reservation, just disappointed that it was not mentioned during dinner.
This one was a do over from our previous visit. Our server was not good. He was dry and bland an no knowledge of the special or what was going on.
I had to return my mac and cheese once because it was cold and when it came back out still was cold. I just said forget it. My last issue was food as well as they could not get my steak cooked correctly. Needless to say my wife and I won't be back.
Ray's Sandy Springs is a wonderful restaurant. Good food, great grounds, Chattahoochee River views, outdoor dining with fire pit. The best Sunday brunch. Quiet Jazz bar after or before dinner (or have your dinner there) adds an extra plus to the ambiance. Dining there for over 15 years.
Really good experience will definitely return
Always incredible food and service. Couldn’t ask for better ambiance!!!
Valentine’s Day dinner
My experience was just OK during Valentine
Allie was awesome. Made the night for our group.
Bar didn't have great drinks which was surprising! Dinner was amazing!! Busy with Valentine's Day rush!
We had an amazing experience, this was our first time visiting and we will definitely be back! The service was great and the food was outstanding! Thank you for making my Birthday/Valentines Day one to remember!
M server was excellent, my food was excellent. I initially had the brownie desert, because t it was very hard and stale. The most disappointing thing about this visit was there was a bad odor present in the are where we ate. It smelled of garbage or rotted seafood, though it wasn’t overpowering, it was present.
First time dining there. It was an okay experience.
My boyfriend got the scallops and they were undercooked...He had a stomach ache for the rest of our day together. We were celebrating a belated Valentine’s Day, so it was a bit disappointing. Other than that, the service was good and my Grouper was excellent! I loved the views of the river as well. I just wish my boyfriend was able to enjoy his food as much as I did mine.
Food was subpar, environment was very nice, service was ehh ok could have been better.
