Food was okay, but overpriced. Steaks were not properly cooked. For being a very empty restaurant, another table was sat directly next to us and left the entire row empty other than us.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meals at Rays. The pimento cheese fritters and She Crab soup were excellent and our crab cakes and the pecan encrusted red trout were also both great. The entree servings were large enough that we got to bring home almost half to enjoy again later. Our server, Haley was very attentive. The room we were seated in was quiet and surprisingly not busy for a Saturday night. I thought the prices were pretty reasonable compared to restaurants serving similar food.

Our dinner was spectacular. Wonderful flavors, cooked to perfection, and timed perfectly. And you know what they say, "you get what you pay for." Well, our dinner for two with a bottle of wine and dessert reached $250.

A bit loud in the place, I could barely hear the wait staff. Other than that, my filet was cooked perfectly, as requested. The asparagus didn't appear to be trimmed just right - the chewy stalk was still a bit too chewy/crunchy near the bottom and the hollandaise could've had more coverage - but I nitpick... other than that, everything was perfect.

I’ve come to rays in the city multiple times and it’s always a nice experience and my preferred rays location. The ambiance is very balanced to where it’s not so loud that I can’t hear my date talk, but also not to quiet to where I feel uncomfortable to talk. The hustle and bustle of the staff was seen, and they operated very smoothly. The only complaint I have with this most recent time was my steak had a bit more of a charred taste to it, the steak itself was not burned but maybe the pan it was cooked in was because the taste was almost liquid smoke-ish. But that isn’t typical of them, and normally my steak is perfect, so I wouldn’t harp on them too much for it. I’m bad at names but I believe my server was Edwin, assisted/coaching Bree. Both very nice!

We went to Rays for my mom’s birthday and we had such an amazing time. Our server Edwin was so great and was very attentive. He was the best and really helped us celebrate to the fullest!!! Please ask for him!! You will not regret it

The food, atmosphere and the service at Ray's In The City was absolutely, 💯 % AMAZING!!! My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves on our lunch date! Ray's In The City is one of our favorite restaurants. Thanks for making Ray's In The City so SPECIAL! Great food, great people and great services!!

This place is basically a Ruth Chris for seafood. The portions are small & everything is ala carte. The ceiling was leaking over my table so I had to move to the other side of the table. Rain was also leaking in the middle of the walkway. I alerted our waiter but he didn’t seem to care. Our waiter was very attentive & good.

This is my first trip to Atlanta and I was looking for a restaurant for a nice dinner with my sister. Ray’s was perfect! Just a short walk from my hotel. The decor was lovely and we were seated in a really nice booth. Our server was Edwin who was super helpful and attentive. My sister had the fried shrimp and I had a filet and lobster tail. Everything was SO GOOD. I may have to go back before I leave. Highly recommend!

Kevin our waiter suggested the blackened lobster tail for my wife and I as we are on a very low calorie diet and it was amazing, oysters rockerfella were the best ever! Kevin even brought berries so our dessert would not be depriving or a calorie bust.

It’s been a little over a year since I’ve last been to rays so maybe this is just the new standard. The Rockefeller oysters weren’t as amazing as I remembered them. Very plain & I did not care for the presentation. Lobster Mac didn’t taste as good as I remembered before either, kind of bland. Must be a new chef now. I had a GA martini which was majority pulp & I hate pulp. I had to drink in a way that used my teeth as a strainer. A dress code was not enforced. I was dressed well surrounded by dragon con people in their costumes & others wearing ripped jeans. The quality has gone down. Service was good though, no complaints on my servers but everything else was questionable.

Victor our waiter was excellent! Attentive without being smothering and brought fruit for our granddaughter to enjoy before dinner was served. I can highly recommend the fig infused old fashioned and the Maytag dirty martini. Someone else at the table had the Aperol martini and thought it was wonderful. We started with the calamari and it was exactly what you want. Flavorful and crispy! Then two of us had the she crab soup - a very generous serving of crab in the soup! Each of us raved about our entree. Two people had shrimp, two people had fish and two people had meat. I was especially impressed with how perfectly the lamb was prepared to the exact temperature I had requested. We also ordered side dishes. My granddaughter loved the macaroni and cheese and we all enjoyed the creamed spinach. No room for dessert this time. All the food was so so good!

The service was good, but we had some issues getting seated. We arrived a little bit early for an 8:15 PM reservation and were told that we would be seated closer to our reservation time. At 8:30 we checked with the hostess and were told they were currently clearing two tables which would accommodate the two parties in line ahead of us. We watched as they seated 4 or 5 more two-person parties, including a couple that said they had an 8:45 reservation. At 8:50 PM, we approached the hostess again to inquire about our reservation and she acknowledged that she knew we were still waiting. We were seated soon thereafter. The food and service were good, although our appetizer never arrived. It was not included on the bill, so we didn’t worry about it. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner, but we were a bit put off by the delay in seating.

The service was incredibly slow once we got our check. It took 10 minutes to get them, then 10 minutes to fix errors, then 10 minutes to bring the machine to run our cards.
