The food was great and the service was outstanding I loved my experience & will definitely be back.
Food was tasty, the lobster was microscopic in lobster risotto and colossal scallops were a medium size, not large at all. Dry overpriced for the quantity.
The location and the food was great. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice restaurant for a date.
The food was good. The live music was awesome. The server was good.
The food was fantastic. The specials and sides were perfect for sharing. Our waitress was so accommodating for our large group! Our drinks were never empty and the vibe of this place is really inviting. The mussels, crab cakes, and corn creme brulee were definitely stand outs.
I have never had a meal at Ray's that I did not enjoy. Wednesday night was no exception. The Georgia Mountain trout was absolutely delicious. Our waitress was always close by and anticipated our needs. Thank you for a wonderful meal.
Thoroughly excellent seafood. Every dish was perfect. Our waiter was delightful and truly professional. The music was icing on the cake.
Service excellent. Food at bit meh this time. Steak overgood - tough even to cut w a knife - ordered medium rare.
Great dinner and atmosphere. Jay was our waitress and she is the best.
Had dinner with a friend while in town for conference. Second time that week eating at this restaurant.
A very good meal and a very fair price in downtown Atlanta. Always consistent.
The service was atrocious!!! Our waiter not only ignored us most of the night but was not visible for us to even get his attention. Our seafood platters that were ordered fried but with the lobster tail broiled, were delivered broiled with the lobster tail fried. One of us ordered a steak medium and it arrived very rare. Bread was not delivered until we had been seated for 25 minutes and we had to request it. The manager on duty did make it right with a gift card for $100 and two complimentary desserts. We will return again however but make sure that where we are seated will assure better service.
Great seafood and wonderful service.. The Lob Mac n Cheese was dissaopinting, was expecting lobster in it!
Fabulous menu. Hope to go back to try other menu items. We sat in the wine cellar which was only 4 tables. It was great.
Missed Planned Birthday celebration
After being seated no one attended our table for well over fifteen minutes. We observed other tables being attended to. We finally left. We told the hostess before we left. I did receive a call later apologizing for the service and inviting us back, but by that time we had made alternative arrangements. Truly disappointed.
The restaurant was clean and inviting and the hostess was pleasant. The waitress was not very well-versed on the menu. Although she, too, was pleasant, she was also slow and non-attentive. The food was pretty good, but even the chef replaced our lobster with salmon in error. We were halfway through our meal before noticing and then were told it would be prepared, so we could take it to go. No manager came over to inquire about our visit or the mistake. The most expensive part of the meal became take-out. Overall, average experience and for the price, there are more refined establishments in and around the city.
The food & atmosphere of This upscale downtown Atlanta were excellent. So much on the menu to choosd! The 8 oz medium filet was perfect. The wedge salad was the best I've ever had. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Our service and meal were outstanding!
Good food and service. Strip steak was done perfectly. Broiled seafood platter was delicious. The calamari and shrimp appetizer only had two shrimp. The Parma san fries were overloaded with cheese. Desert of praline basket was good. The lemon butter Cake was the bomb.
Never fails ... Good service, good, drinks, atmosphere. Always
Server fine overall ok-nothing special for a downtown location-drab surroundings could use an uplift for today’s competition .
The front area has live music so louder although it was an acoustic guitar so not too loud. Back room was where you needed to be if you wanted conversation. The service was really good and we enjoyed the food. Only complaint if any would be the entrees came out pretty fast so order your appetizers and wait before ordering second course. The waiter did a pretty good job spacing it out for us.
Service was really lousy: unfriendly and very slow
Loud and crowded. Waiter seemed like he wanted to leave.
Great food and overall solid service. It was very busy the night we were there and it got insanely loud, but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. A good place that’s worth checking out.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner with work, customer and partner colleagues. Ray's in the City was perfect for us! Fab food over great conversation.
What you see on the menu may differ. For instance salsa crudo with Halibut but then told we changed our menu and salsa credo was no longer on the menu. We asked for salsa credo to be added to the fish. Also recommended Warm Buttercake, I was salivating after the server recommendation only to be told we are out because it is a hot seller so no dessert. The Seafood was above par. I did notice where we sat a large black streak on a white wall that could have easy been repaired the same day. They do have ceiling baffles that keeps noise to the minimum. I might return on next trip to Atlanta but it would not be my first choice.
Our server was at the mercy of the Kitchen so the service was above par. The wine we were told was chilled but it clearly required an ice bucket as served. I am hoping it was just a bad night for all.
Worst service I have ever had. We were so excited to try Rays, and celebrate! Never again! Atrocious service.
The Salmon and Steak was so bland no real flavor at all. The service, drinks, and atmosphere was amazing however.
They gave us a free champagne toast which was lovely. However, the fish was dry and overall just average. In total the bill was almost $100 which was just not worth it.
Never had a better meal. The variety of food and quality was outstanding.
The food and service was excellent. The atmosphere was great. It was my 45th wedding anniversary and wife was ecstatic with my choice to celebrate our anniversary. The ambience of the facility was wonderful.
We dined with you on consecutive nights, that is how much we enjoyed it!
This was really a great experience. The food was delicious and the service was attentive but not smothering. We'll be back!
Menu options and ambience were great for our small group (7); service was average at best- mostly just slow.
Great food. Awesome waiter, couldn't ask for a better birthday dinner for my Beautiful wife.
We were visiting from Ohio. Loaded potato chips were awesome! Excellent food and service. The four of us were sharing two desserts and they were out of one of our choices (butter cake), so they brought us an extra dessert to share! All were excellent - Praline Basket, brownie sundae, and creme brulee!
I came to Atlanta to celebrate my birthday and I was so pleased with this restaurant. The food was great and the waitresses K and T were outstanding. They were very accommodating and so pleasant. I recommend this place.
Excellent sashimi and sushi. Excellent service. The drinks were delicious and not shy of alcohol. Definitely a repeat.
