Absolutely fabulous. Everything about this dinner screams I'll be back!!! Thank you for a great birthday night 🌙
Ray’s is always consistently awesome
We are regulars and have really enjoyed this restaurant over the years. This was by far, the worst experience we’ve had at Killer Creek. The steak I ordered was a tough, grisly ness. Service as barely average. Extremely disappointing. Hope they can get their post Covid act together!
Took our mother for Mother’s Day and it was wonderful as always!!
First time visiting for Mother's Day. It was a wonderful dining experience.
The family menu was not ideal for us. We did not understand that from Opentable reservation site. Who wants to go out to eat and be forced to eat what is offered especially when paying over $100 to eat.
Whipped potatoes and green beans were salty.
The ONLY thing that make the dinner ok was the exceptional customer service from Edwin! He is subbing from other Ray’s.
It was my first time to Killer Creek location and it will definitely be my last.
Wonderful!!! Great good and service was outstanding. Enjoyed the intimacy of the service type dinner more than previous buffets (though I’m not taking away from the buffets.,,they were good also)
Can’t wait for next holiday celebration....though I will be back soon.
Pleasant experience overall and the mother's day menu was a great touch.
The wait staff were great, friendly and they made the whole experience wonderful. The food was fantastic...small portions yet filling
The food selections for Mother's Day were well-received by our party.
We still miss the buffet and look forward to a time when it will get back to normal.
An amazing restaurant ruined by this terrible service.
We went there for our annual Mother’s Day lunch. The server (Malcom) appeared right away and took our drink orders. He said he and two others were going to be waiting on us. It was a prefixed family style meal. We were excited because we’d always had wonderful service and food there.
Off to a good start? No.
Soon afterwards the prefixed appetizers appeared. 8 shrimp to be split between 5 people. Spinach dip with broken pita chips. The salad eventually arrived but we weren’t offered salad bowls or plates. We were expected to eat our salads on our shrimp cocktail sauce covered appetizer plates. Soon after salad arrived, the kitchen staff brought out the entrees (family style). We still hadn’t been checked on my Malcolm (or anyone else) since bringing us our drinks. We had to ask the kitchen servers for entree plates. Eventually Malcolm reappeared, and we ordered another round of drinks from the bar. One of the orders never showed up. By dessert time, we were given two large family style plates of dessert. 4 regular spoons, one serving spoon, NO plates! We had 5 people. Malcolm reappeared to take an extra chair from our table. He never asked us if we needed anything and didn’t seem bothered by the fact that we didn’t have dessert plates. He just grabbed the chair and ran before we could say “wait”. He eventually reappeared at our table and slapped the check down and took off again. We waited for 10 minutes and watched as all the other servers in the room waited on some and ignored various tables. Finally we got up and had to hunt down someone to pay our bill. I will not return and I will tell everyone of this horrible experience.
For the price we paid and the food we had didn’t really feel like a valuable meal at all.
$60 per adult (priced high but I’m ok with) but $30 a kid (all under the age of 10) was excessive.
This is a very difficult review to write as Ray's at Killer Creek is one of my wife's and my favorite places. This Mother's Day family style meal was clearly not up to Ray's typically high standards.
STARTERS: The shrimp cocktail was almost room temperature and the sauce portions were quite small. The spinach/artichoke dip was flavorful but, again, the temperature was unappetizing.
MAIN COURSES: The tenderloin served was cooked medium-well and smothered in sauce. It was unappealing in presentation and unflavorful in taste. The chicken was served over a bed of wild rice. The chicken itself was alright in taste but rubbery in texture. The rice bed was incredibly starchy and clumpy in texture. The salmon was overcooked and dry. All main courses were close to room temperature upon serving. All main dishes were very salty.
SIDE DISHES: Brussel sprouts and cauliflower were overcooked and dry. Mashed potatoes were okay, but nothing spectacular. The green beans were quite flavorful but, again, lukewarm.
DESSERT: The bread pudding was cold, and the sauce was unbelievably sweet.
CONCLUSION: This was an incredibly disappointing experience and very uncharacteristic of Ray's. The meal seemed more appropriate to an assembly line and not a fine dining experience. The sixty dollar a plate cost only added financial insult to culinary injury. We will return but not to one of these.
We were there for Mother’s Day lunch and I was impressed with how well they catered to us. The level of service and taste of food was great
Mother’s Day Brunch. The food was cool. Server didn’t coordinate taking plates off the table before bringing more food. Mother’s Day was a set menu. The food could use more seasoning.
We had a great dinner and a great night out. It was an early Mother’s Day dinner with our daughter who was in from LA. Nick was the perfect server and made the time enjoyable. We will request him every time!
Have eaten at Rays on the River for years. Killer Creek was noisy, couldn't hear across the table, and the food was not near as well prepared as the River location. Shrimp Cocktail was over done, ribs were dry and not presented very appealing.
We had a table for 4 on the Patio. Dinner was excellent as was service (by Nick and Dasia). Will definitely return.
We had reservations. Food was decent, but overpriced! I was expecting a little more flavor with the sea bass. Service was fair. Menu choices need major improvement. We had better experience at Marietta location. I am pretty sure that we will not be going back to that particular location anytime soon.
Alex the General Manager was so accommodating. Jada our server was outstanding. Will definitely return!
This restaurant has really declined over the years. We used to enjoy it but now it just offers mediocre overpriced food in a very loud atmosphere.
This is now the 2nd consecutive bad experience at Ray’s and after years spent this being the ‘go to’ place to celebrate special occasions not sure when or if I will be back. Celebrated Mother’s Day early on the Friday before - my Mom ordered the sea bass and I had the snapper special - both dishes were hardly edible / not sure what happened in the kitchen but both dishes were waaaayyyyyy over salted - fish was OK but had a salty taste - the vegetables that came with the dish were so salted you could not eat them. Brought this up to the waiter and commented that yes we’ve been hearing that a lot this evening. Food has gone so downhill at Ray’s it makes me sad as was one of my favorite places
Great outdoor patio!
As always, Gerald took good care of us. Good was great and service was the best!
The ambiance is attractive and upscale. The service was very good and our server was very kind to acknowledge the special occasion we were celebrating. The food was very good overall. Good quality steaks and they were cooked perfectly and tender. The only negative is that the New Orleans BBQ shrimp app was overwhelmingly salty as was the lobster tail. The steaks were heavily seasoned, but delicious.
I had a wonderful time as usual. The pimento goat cheese remains as good as ever!
Service was excellent. Bryan and Deja were so helpful and very welcoming. A credit to the staff, and beyond. Food was prepared very well. Served at the right time and excellent taste. Live music was an added plus.
Me and my wife were there to celebrate our anniversary over a nice dinner. The service was on point, nice, relaxing, and elegant. The gentleman playing the piano wasn’t doing too much as well which made it romantic. I would definitely go back again. Thank you for your service in making that night special for us.
Awesome selection and food was fantastic!!! Service was great- I highly recommend!
The food was average, had to ask server for bread. Took a while for entrees to come.
Service was great food was forgettable, nothing special feel as if I have cooked better meals.
Request for one dish were not followed no cheese on a burger so they scrapped it off in place of making as requested. I put that on the kitchen not the wait staff that was awesome. We had a great time and will try again. Sea Bass was great but all the other dishes were not good.
I went on a date here with my fiance. The service was great but the food was just okay. My steak was way under cooked and I had to send it back. It also had no seasoning and was cold when it first came out. They also brought out the wrong side the first time. One thing I can't stand is that if you are going to serve steak on the menu and charge $50.00 for it, make sure it's cooked right the first time. My fiance had to eat her meal alone while I watched. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
Restaurant was ok. Lot of other steakhouses now in Alpharetta provide a better experience.
My husband and I went for our anniversary and we choose to sit outside on the patio. It was great weather and felt like we were dining in a forest, far away from the city. Our servers were Malcolm and Liz and they had the best energy. All of the food from the appetizer to dessert was flavorful and came out in perfect timing. Liz even brought out a surprise dessert and champagne for my husband and I. It was a great way to celebrate our two year wedding anniversary. I highly recommend and we will definitely be returning.
Meal, service, and atmosphere were wonderful, as always. Louann took good care of us!
Don’t waste your $ Arrived 10 min early, it was empty other than a private party, they made us wait to be seated so we decided to grab a happy hour drink after seeing a sign. I asked what was on the HH and he replies “nothing, just wine, and hands me a menu and walks away” not telling me what the wines were, nor does the menu list the HH drinks.. ** Don’t advertise HH if you aren’t willing to tell anyone what it is... I told him I’d like a twist on a Margarita cause sour gives me heartburn. I ordered tequila, lime juice, a splash of grandma and salt rim. He tells me “I got you” then proceeds to pour the premade Margarita which was exactly what I said I didn’t want. I spoke up saying its not what I ordered he replied “well that’s not a margarita, that’s tequila and lime juice.” Well no sh*t idiot, it’s what I ordered. My husband was FURIOUS (he didn’t say anything though). I still tipped him $5 on our 2 drinks even though he was by far the rudest bartender ever for this price point of a restaurant... *The website says “dress code” and no hats because it’s offensive? -your staff is offensive.. after I spent $30 to be talked back to by the bartender our table is ready. Why we didn’t leave then I don’t know.. Our server took 10 minutes to arrive but she was a pleasant breathe of fresh air. -Several food items were out of stock, my next drink comes out with no salt or lime.. - glad my $5 tip did nothing... then our server is NON EXISTENT for the rest of the night. Manager had to take my wine order AFTER my steak arrived and getting cold. THE RESTAURANT WAS EMPTY... we were there for 3 HOURS?!? Why? Such a true disappointment for our first time. The server later apologized and admitted that she did disappear. We overheard the table next to us complaining so we started talking to them and they were blown away too by how horrible their experience was. I worked in this industry for 15 years and for $230 I PROMISE YOU there are so many better places in Alpharetta than this.
Lovely dinner with good friends in a pleasant atmosphere. Service was good and the food was excellent. Definitely a great dinner option.
Wonderfully delicious as always!
