This was my first time dining at Ray's at Killer Creek. Sign out front informs patrons that all employees are fully vaccinated. The occasion was my birthday and everyone from the hostess to the waitress acknowledged the occasion. The ambiance was very nice and mood lighting.
Appetizers: We ordered the Crispy Calamari, which was incredible.
Dinner: My SuperNova ordered the Crab Cakes with Mashed Potatoes and 3 Cheese Mac,. The portions were very generous. I ordered the Prime Rib (medium rare) and Gouda Baked Potato. I wasn't overly impressed with the Prim Rib as it was over smothered with gravy/sauce. The Gouda Baked Potato was remarkable.
Complimentary Birthday Dessert: The Waitress brought us (me) a Chocolate Moose cake garnished with fresh fruit. I typically do not favor Moose desserts, however this was extremely good. I cleared the plate!
Overall: We had a great time and the staff was very professional and personable. Highly recommended.
Bryant our server was just amazing, made it a night to remember. The entire staff made you feel like family it’s was so nice even the manager was helping the staff rather than and just tell his employees what to do, you can tell you have a winning group of people when even the boss isn’t scared to get his hands dirty and help with anything. Completely Epic is all I can say.
We went here last night for the first time to celebrate a friend's birthday and had a fantastic time! Thanks so much, Taylor and Anne, for the excellent service. Everyone on staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The ambience of the restaurant was wonderful and they even had some live music which was a nice touch. Three people in our party got the New York strip and one got the "Cowboy" ribeye special, and said it was one of the best steaks he has ever had. The crab cakes were delicious as well. They even gave us a dessert on the house for our friend's birthday. We went with the butter cake, which was honestly one of the best things I've ever tasted. We'll be back for the next special occasion :)
Fabulous dinner and service but the air conditioning was not working or something because I was sweating in my silk shirt!! Also many people there in jeans snd shirts no dress code enforced.
Overall the food was exceptional as well as the service.
Food was very good, but overpriced really. Ambiance overall was good, but the A/C wasn't cool enough. I was too warm the entire time.
A1 experience: food and service was everything. Good vibes
Noise was distracting.
Salmon was overcooked and not what you would think King salmon looked or taste like.
Service and entertainment was great.
Had to warm the waiter up (make him like us) to get good service. Asked for a wine list and drink menu, he only pointed to a short list in the main menu. Had to get a full wine list from someone else. He also showed his irritation at us getting what we asked for and for enjoying our time, rather than rushing.
Overall very very good. Service Food Ambiance was just perfect!!!
After going to this restaurant 4 times , the food was definitely not worth the price. We had poor food outcomes, meat over cooked, fatty meat, Chefs Special Pasta came with over cooked steak and pasta only . The vegetables supposed to be in were left out. Tried it again and steak over cooked and very few vegetables. The prime rib was over cooked and tough. The manager did not seem very concerned. Even though I couldn’t eat the meal and also my partner, nothing was comped. Too sad. In the past I never or any of my party had poor food. The service is good and love the ambiance but will not return. It’s a shame.
Malcom, our server , was fabulous. We asked for suggestions and he never failed. He was fun and full of personality. Every dish we ordered was delicious. We were blown away with the Butter cake.
Foods were okay but nothing outstanding. Service was good. Ambiance was nice but too dark to read the menu.
Everything was fantastic! The hostess and waitress were very pleasant and very attentive. We love the atmosphere, the vibe and decor. There were four of us celebrating a 18th birthday. We started with the colossal shrimp cocktail appetizer and a wedge salad which both were very good. Our entrées were the Sea-bass, fillet, ribeye, and the green egg barbecue ribs. All dishes came with a side, all cooked perfect and tasted fantastic. Both steaks were probably one of the best steaks we have had since we’ve moved to Georgia from Chicago 3 years ago. Ended the meal with the crème brûlée (which was Ok) & butter cake which was to die for! We will definitely be back!
Nice evening but some significant shortfalls. After a cocktail at the bar, our table was excellent and our server, Ann, was World Class. The noise level was high and made conversations difficult. Appetizers and salads excellent but a longer than normal wait for the sea bass entrees which came out lukewarm to cold. Overall, disappointing for the price.
We are regular Rays customers. But after many years this was our first patio experience. Needless to say it will be our request for future visits. Staff was amazing. Kenyaria with the help of Julie made sure we left with smiles on our faces.
A/C was not working properly and was very humid and hot in the restaurant. Overpriced $500 for 4 … service was outstanding
The food and service was out of this world! Very delicious. The restaurant was uncomfortably warm the entire dinner. Also, the cocktails were not that good. But the service, and food made up for those two hiccups.
Ray's at Killer Creek was Fantastic! Food deliciously prepared, service was outstanding and the ambiance was what was expected.
THANK THE ENTIRE STAFF for a wonderful evening
I have been going to Ray's at Killer Creek for a long time, and this was probably the first time I was disappointed in our meal. The salmon portion was the smallest ever, the bbq ribs were also quite small, and even my 8oz filet mignon was questionable which is now at market price. I understand a lot of things are now more expensive, particularly food, but if I am going to pay more money, at least I want the portions to be correct. Service was ok as well, not as good as before. Also they tried to charge me a more expensive wine than the one I ordered so I had to send the check back...hope this was an honest mistake, not trying to get few extra dollars if you are not checking your bill. And still miss the Blue Cheese chips....bring them back!. Hope you can bring back your consistency in food quality, portions and service!
Was a little warm. AC issues. Eventually got a bit cooler as I finished my meal.
Amazing good and service! We come to Ray’s every time we are in the area.
We had a great dinner meeting. It was a little loud but the food was great and service was good. We will definitely go back.
Great food and service
The Sea Bass was the best fish I have ever eaten!!
Food 4/5 only due to the filet mignon not meeting our expectations for a $50 mkt 8oz steak. It appeared to be the end cut, and was more grizzly/ribboned than what I would deem acceptable at that price, but it was delicious, as everything else. Service was also extremely top-notch!
Great Birthday Night! Service was impeccable!! Luanne and Liz were AMAZING! We had a seafood tower and the impossible burger that i would have bet was beef. 😂😂 butter Cake for dessert! Great night with great service!
Dasia was an excellent waitress we really enjoyed our experience
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Great food with a nice atmosphere! Our servers were exceptionally wonderful and attentive. Shout out to Taylor and Anne!
Our server, Ms.Dadia was very nice and friendly. We had a good time.
My husband and I had a very nice experience dining here. There was a little live music which was also a nice touch to the overall ambiance..highly recommend!
Awesome food, service and atmosphere. One of our favorite places to go. A must try.
My wife and I visited Ray's Killer Creek for our wedding anniversary dinner last night. The first thing we noticed when sitting down to dinner in the main dining room was that it seemed as if the air conditioning was not functioning properly, as it was very humid. After ordering, we walked to the outside dining area overlooking the woods and Killer Creek and it was actually slightly less humid feeling out on the covered patio, even though it was mid-80's and had just finished raining. Maybe the slight breeze made it more comfortable feeling than inside. As I went by the hostess desk on my way to the restroom, I noticed the hostess fanning herself with a menu and I made mention of the high humidity and asked if there was an issue with the AC. She smiled and began fanning me for a couple of seconds and commented that it was a little more humid than normal, but nothing about why. We decided to remain indoors for dining, as the decor is beautiful with the unique chandeliers and the calm atmosphere, as well a jazz combo playing, which made everything else very relaxing and inviting.
Besides the discomfort of the temperature/humidity, we thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience, as the wait staff was very attentive and friendly.
We are very pleased that we enjoyed Dasia as our main server last night, as she handled most of the duties and spent just the right amount of time with us (growing up in the restaurant business, I am sensitive to wait staff who are either never aware of when you need something, or when they want to spend too much time chatting . . . it might sound trivial, but there is an art to it). Dasia was charming, attentive, made sure that she explained everything and always kept a low key sense of humor and a smile on her face. The food and wine were what you would expect from a Ray's restaurant . . . quality selections well prepared and innovative without going over the top.
Bottom line . . . we will be back . . .after checking the humidity first! :-)
Great live music Friday and Sat. nights now. Food, service was fabulous!
We have been to Ray’s several times, and when we had friends visiting the area, this was our first choice. It has fallen off greatly from our previous experience. Tough steaks, inedible side dishes, and general confusion of the wait staff. We had two or three servers, and none of them were on the same page. We actually had to explain the specials to our second server who came to take our dinner order. When we flagged him down to ask for refills, we had to stop our conversations and reorder each drink, like it’s not already on our tab… not the kind of service or experience we were looking for. Pretty disappointing for a $400 dinner, at a place that used to be worth the money.
Great meal-glad to be back and the entertainment was great!
Wonderful dinner outside. Beautiful view despite a rain storm.
Taylor was amazing! She is so sweet and so attentive! I would definitely visit again!
Food, service and atmosphere was outstanding. We celebrated my mother birthday and we each ordered something different along with 2 appetizers. Each meal was hot, delicious and uniquely prepared. One of my favorite restaurants around. I would highly recommend it for any occasion.
Rays staff made our anniversary dinner very special! We were treated like celebrities. Truly a special experience we won't soon forget. Everything from the minute we walked in to the minute we left was amazing. Fabulous cocktails, award worthy food. Highly recommend!!!!
We never got our salad and they poured the wrong wine.
