We have the pleasure to introduce a brand new bar and restaurant in the heart of Southend on sea. Situated in the historic building that was Ravens department store for 125 years. This exciting new project will have a basement bar, ground floor bar, first floor restaurant with bar and roof terrace.

The 4 floor building has been totally gutted and renovated to the highest standard. The business will operate with a basement waitress service bar, a ground floor bar with seating for lunches, a first floor high end restaurant with bar and a 4th floor roof terrace. We are focusing on the more discerning individual and aim to bring a high quality experience with an emphasis on customer service alongside fantastic food and drink.

first visit to Ravens as a restaurant. we were a little disappointed at the ambiance, a Sunday near to xmas we expected a vibrant atmosphere but unfortunately it was almost empty and the large restaurant was set up for parties coming in the following Wednesday. the 3 tables they had in were all on top of each other so with the restaurant being quite quiet it felt awkward to have louder conversations when a table of 2 were right next to us. maybe they could've spread us out more. Food was distinctly average, for the price. Michael Buble playing on a loop was a little annoying but I guess that's personal taste. would not return for a group meal on a Sunday. perhaps other days/nights are more lively.

Food was average, nothing to write home about. Portion sizes of desserts was very small. Biggest problem was the very loud music from the ground floor that was so loud we had to shout to each other to make ourselves heard, even though we were on the first floor.

First floor restaurant was lovely - decor layout and staff. Nice bar area upstairs. Food choices not extensive but nice - well priced. Excellent service and friendly staff. BUT - go early -by 21:45- the dj set in ground floor bar was absolutely thumping- even drinks were shaking in restaurant - impossible to have any conversation from that point on . Shame as restaurant could be wonderful if not for noise level . I would return but for an early evening meal only.

nice food, good service, poor view,overlooking closed down retail shop,nice modern atmosphere.The price was high for what we had probably why there was only us two and a group of four others there for sunday dinner, very very quite for sunday dinner.

Very friendly and articulate table service. The food is very good and compares well with most local restaurants. Large restaurant and almost empty when we visited for Sunday lunch. Not the best location to attract custom. They need to promote the restaurant more to obtain more trade - we only found it by mistake. Give it a try!

Not enough waitresses and too many bar staff. The music played in the restaurant was like something from the 70s. They had run out of certain meat. Not enough choice of food and the no cheese board for a grill restaurant? Wont be going back

very nice meal, outstanding service. staff very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make our evening enjoyable. nice atmosphere. went back again for lunch the following day as we was in the area, and will definitely go again
