probably one of the best restaurants in Whittier. good, clean, healthy food with great service.
Ordered the braised short rib which was supposed to be served on mushroom risotto. Instead the short rib was served over mashed potatoes.it would be appreciated if patrons were told ahead of time if there were to be any deviations from the menu. I would not have wanted to eat so much mashed potatoes. I did not make a fuss because I did not want to spoil the mood / embarrass my guests since the meal was to be a celebratory meal. My mother ordered the clam linguine and she had to pull out uncooked pasta from her mouth. When we asked for more bread, a comment was made by the server that made us feel very uncomfortable. Can't recall the exact words but it was like he was discouraging us to get a 2nd basket of bread. Then he followed up with "just kidding"
And although this is nothing the restaurant can control, there were a few shady looking men just loitering around outside the restaurant. They were there when we arrived and were still there when we left
First time at this restaurant. Took my fiancé and son for Mother’s Day. Server didn’t bring a ice bucket for our wine, and food took hour to be served. Not much effort on the servers part. Food was descent. Probably won’t go back,
We enjoyed the food, all of which was delicious! The wait staff was very attentive, and it was a very busy night! Thank you for making our evening special.
Took my mother here for an early Mothers Day Dinner. The service was awesome and the good was so good. Lobster Mac and cheese, calamari, shrimp cocktail and the whittier margaritas were the best! Deffinately returning here soon!
The waiter was nice but not as attentive as we would have liked. They never brought us bread, we had to ask for it. The Ravello salad was delicious. We felt rushed out of there when it got close to 10:00 p.m. They turned all the lights on before 10 and we felt like they wanted us to leave.
Food was very good and the service was great! Shrimp appetizer with polenta was divine and the pizza was also good.
Awesome people great menu choices
Very good lunch menu and very good food
Everything was very nice. The table water was horrible and should be filtered or something. Tasted like dirt .
We went here for a special occasion. Service was great. We enjoyed the piano music. We had ribeye and filet with lobster. Both were very good and would get again
The purpose of our visit was to celebrate Valentines Day 2018.
It was a great meal, it was very busy but that was to be expected considering it was v-day. Can’t wait to try the full menu. It was a fixed menu tonight which i wasn’t expecting but still delicious
Great food, decent drinks, piano bar, nice atmosphere. Fireplace was nice also to sit by.
I was not aware kids were allowed and would have preferred no kids but it's a bar n grill so understandable.
Service was excellent, food was great but a little pricey, which I expected. Parking great unless you go on a weekend, then you hope to get lucky. Overall 4 of 5 stars.
We were traveling and our hotel was in uptown Whittier so this was a convenient place for dinner
Revisited Ravello again for our Mother's birthday. Had a great time, great good, and great
music playing at the piano. He even sang Happy Birthday to her ! Look forward to coming again.
We love Ravello. Awesome ambiance and staff. We celebrated New Year's and the only downside was that we were never served our 1st course. Other than that it was a really fun evening and the entertainment was fabulous!
I really appreciate where we sat, overall ambience, and the attentiveness of our server. Good food all around, thank you for a great evening...all of our party of seven was pleased.
Service was very poor, food not worth the price my Chilean sea bass was over cooked & too salty.
Used to be good, service terrible and the food was worse! I took 2 friends and none of us will ever go back - too bad
Our first experience will definitely NOT be our last. The menu classics are solid and comforting, but their seasonal dishes are additionally unique and creative.
love the live piano music! food is excellent
The service was wonderful. The staff was very attentive and made sure that everything was just right. The food was delicious and right proportion. I definitely recommend.
The food is delicious BUT way overpriced. The service was OK. One thing I would recommend is for them to dim the lights. It was way too bright in there for dinner. I would recommend this restaurant to others though as I have eaten both lunch and dinner there.
Great atmosphere and delicious food while enjoying the USC v. Stanford game!
Resturant has nice decor, food is average but overpriced. Service however is terrible. They overbook with rude waiter staff. Would not recommend.
The restaurant decor is nice, and the food was pretty good, though overpriced. My husband had the giant shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were very large and very good, which they should have been for over $5.00/shrimp. My salmon was OK, but it was a pretty small portion and the potatoes and beans weren't very hot. My husband had a filet, which was fairly good sized and tender, but at $35.00 came with just a grilled tomato, so he ordered a side of portobello mushroom fries. Again this was a small portion for $10.50. We don't mind the cost if the meal is worthy of the price, but were kind of disappointed here.
The restaurant staff should make a note when you tell them you're bringing a birthday guest. The server did take my friend's dessert off my bill after the fact--but she didn't get the birthday surprise I'd hoped for when I called in to remind the staff about the occasion. I find almost all restaurants are dropping the ball on this lately, but it matters. If the staff DOES remember, it makes for a lovely occasion. And that's especially important when you charge special-occasion prices.
The food, however, was marvelous (special occasion-worthy): the beet salad, the scallops, the salmon, the semi-freddo chocolate dessert--all terrific. Good wine too.
We were looking for a quick delicious dinner prior to a gallery opening. Ravello Bar and Grill fit the bill. They were accomodating on splitting a main dish and I loved the half order of salad prior to the main dish. The wait staff was very attentive. A very nice dinner.
Just loved the whole evening! Fabulous food, beautiful decor. Can't say enough about how wonderful the service was!!!!
Great spot. One of the nicer rooms in Whittier. Brandon is an awesome server. We'll return for sure.
So Great to have a another good restaurant in Whittier. We really enjoyed ourselves.
thank you for outstanding service and accommodating all of our requests as we celebrated my son's high school graduation. the food was absolutely delicious! we enjoyed the Roasted cedar plank salmon, Colossal shrimp, Colorado lamb chops, Fettucine Alfredo w/shrimp, Fettucine Alfredo w/chicken, Ravioli of the day, and Crispy calamari. thank you again
Amazing modern Italian menu , beautiful decor, dining area perfect for date night or business meeting, bar area very exiting.
Great local restaurant in uptown Whittier. Great service and food. Definitely recommend trying!
Great place in down town Whittier for Italian food
we showed up earlier than what our reservation was set for but were happily greeted & seated! Isabel was wonderful - very attentive & our water glasses stayed full! The food was simply scrumptious - branzino is a MUST have!
The restaurant is beautiful! The service was very very slow, but our server was so shy and nervous, so we were not upset about that. The calamari was excellent. The entrees were not. The lamb chops were well done, as well as the steak. The mushroom risotto as well as the lamb and steak were outrageously bland. The creme brulee was gritty and very very very sweet.
We had salmon, salads, ravioli, lasagna, angel hair pasta, beat salad, artichokes and fried calimari. Everything was delicious and paired with a 2014 Brady Cabernet Sovengion
