Knowing that your establishment is new I was very pleased with the style and decor of the place. Very attractive on the out side and inside. I do wish there was a larger food option. I had the salmon which was awesome. And I dont even like cooked salmon all that much. Unfortunately the Cheese Burger was not good at all. My 14 year old loves burgers but your burger had two small beef paddies that looked like they were from McDonalds. I just wish it tasted as good. My daughter said it made her stomach upset. I tried a few bites of the beef and I could not tell you what it tasted like. Not sure what kind of meat it was? Scary. The waitress was kind enough to remove it from the order and give my daughter some Mash.
Other than that, the Brussels Sprouts were amazing. The Soft pretzels my other daughter got was sad and small. I have gotten better soft pretzels at a carnival. So if you are going to have that on your menu at least get a larger one that looks like it wasn't run over by the pretzel truck. Hey I am just being honest. I am looking forward to your improved menu that the waitress mentioned you are all working on.
I will go back since I never make a final judgement after only one visit.
Server was very nice! Food was EXCELLENT!
Charming new place in Elkridge. Service was wonderful and the food was great. Love tiuspkace!!
My husband and I loved this cozy little spot. We were welcomed with a champagne toast (it was New Years Eve!), and then ordered our cocktails. They were delicious but would have loved to see them served in more unique glasses. We ordered a pretzel with beer cheese (pretzel was perfectly baked and home-made, and the beer cheese was delicious!) and Brussels
Sprouts (YUM) to start. For our meals m I ordered an arugula salad with grilled chicken, and he ordered the Hamburg sandwich. We ended the meal with the homemade brownie and ice cream! My only complaint for the evening was the music volume and selection. It didn’t fit the physical environment they have created. Despite that tiny detail, we loved it and will totally be back!
Delicious meal for New Years Eve! Food was excellent and service attentive and very good. All in our party enjoyed their meals. Mouse made cheesecake was delicious!
Excellent food and service. Great wine and fun drinks.
Great service (Ashley is wonderful) Fantastic selection of wine and the food is delicious.
Tried this new spot and was very pleased. Beautifully renovated building, excellent food and drinks with top notch service. Menu is small for now but what they serve is very good. My wife got the burger and I had the chicken schnitzel. Both were great. Shared a soft pretzel to start and it was fantastic. Can't wait to go back.
This place was nice. The Menu was small but the food was delicious.
Great food and great beer!
This was our first visit to The Rathskeller and we were able to speak with the manager directly. Though there were some issues, we were taken care of generously. Most of the food we tried was delicious and close to authentic with some minor spins. The cucumber salad was extraordinary and the schnitzel was really good, even though it was made with chicken and not pork. The pretzel was definitely freshly made (it looked misshapen) but was pretty good. Our issue was with the Donner Kabob. It was supposed to be served with a yogurt dill sauce but was definitely served with a curry aioli. We had it returned to the kitchen and was told by our server that the chef insisted it was the correct sauce. We were asked if we'd like it re-made and we passed on the offer. Instead, the manager came over, removed the item from our bill and also provided us with a $15 gift card. We spoke for a few minutes with the manager offering some suggestions for the menu and how we enjoyed our meal. We'll definitely give the restaurant another opportunity.
We were a group of 4. Were impressed by the cleanliness. Had a great time and Ashley, our server, was great as well. My friend and I loved the Bitburger and our wives had Pinot Noir, I believe. I loved The Hamburg and my wife particularly enjoyed the cucumber salad and the Rainbow Trout. The $ 200+ bill was steep, though, IMO. Specifically, $ 10 for the cucumber salad and $ 10 (if I recall) for the warm potato salad was pricey.
Great place to dine and enjoy good German food and beer or wine. Thank you for opening up in Elkridge.
