Absolutely the best Indian food I have ever had. Service is exceptional. It's a popular spot-- so reservations for peak lunch times or dinner at least a week in advance are often necessary.

Absolutely excellent! The service and food was outstanding. Our friend had never tried authentic Indian food before and we knew we had to take her here. Rasika did not disappoint. We can't wait to return.

What a great restaurant! Having been to the Penn Quarter Rasika quite a few times we decided to try the West End sibling. It easily met our expectations. Our server was skillful and knowledgeable, drinks came quickly, my lactose intolerance was dealt with perfectly, and of course the food was beautiful and delicious! I loved the decor as well; it's more modern and colorful than the PQ location.

This is high quality authentic Indian cuisine seamlessly blended with bits of wonderful creativity. The service was attentive and friendly without being obtrusive. Women in our party had a quibble with the restroom situation. They were directed to a spot with two unisex restrooms and a dedicated men's room; but no restroom dedicated to women.

The restaurant has a great location right in the middle of the busy West End. It is a great location for a business lunch or dinner especially if you are staying at one of the many hotels nearby like the Ritz-Carlton, Marriott or Westin.
The food was very authentic and had great flavor. The servers did a good job explaining the items. The mango shrimp was amazing! My only constructive feedback is about the servers. They could have been more attentive and less "section" focused.

The best Indian- or Indian-inspired food in the country. Unusual, exceptionally good. Wonderful service, great atmosphere, exceptional food, and quiet enough to hear your table-mates.

This is the best Indian food in Washington. They can make the level spice you desire. The service is always spot on. It’s decor is perfect and easy for conversation at a normal voice. Order the Cod and lambshops

Rasika never disappoints. I always order palak chat and dahl dungaree--anything else is bonus. There was a slight delay in service but overall another wonderful experience at Rasika

Overall basic Indian food and not overly impressed. Had to wait on water refills several times. Wine list is limited. We ordered a dessert and 2 extra came out that we did not order. We assumed that it was complimentary until the bill came and we were charged for them. Beware!

This is by easily a step above all other Indian restaurants. You’ll be able to taste the difference and it will be hard to go back to other Indian restaurants after your meal.

The cuisine is imaginative and delicious and the service is very professional. For lovers of Indian food such as myself, Rasika is in a league of its own in the DC area. The difficulty of getting a reservation speaks for itself.

The food is Indian, but unlike anything you will find in most Indian cuisine restaurants. The service is far and away the best I've experienced in many years-possibly ever. Yes, you have to book far ahead. Yes, it is worth it.

Everything about Rasika West End was superb. The Indian food is the best I've had anywhere -- even in India. It is innovative and very flavorful. The fried spinach appetizer, the signature dish,- was sublime. The Goan fish curry, made with grouper, was perfect. The service too was great. Only minor negative was that it took about 10 minutes until the valet arrived to park my car.

Always outstanding- I’m always skeptical of fancy Indian restaurants but this one is worth every bit of the hype. Major plus the patio is dog friendly! Love going here before a show. Save room for dessert if you can, but it is difficult given the amazing dinner menu.

I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The spinach salad was amazing! The table was split on the Tempura Chicken – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the Chicken Masala. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."

if you don't like spicy food, don't go here. waiter recommended a "nonspicy" dish for my husband that was too hot for him to eat. he had to order something else, and we were charged for the dish he couldn't eat as well as the replacement (and not asked if I wanted to take the too spicy dish home). after dinner the manager told him what he "should" have ordered, a little too late. why tell us then? why not educate the waitstaff ahead of time?

The vegetarian dishes were lacking. I got the vegetable korma and my partner had the vegetable lasagna. The korma was flavorless and the vegetables were nearly raw. The vegetable lasagna was slightly better because it had flavor, but even then the flavor was somewhat overwhelming. The atmosphere was pleasant and the server was amazing.

I did like the wine selection and the atmosphere. I think if I ever did go back it would be for a nice glass of wine with a good friend.

We were many do half chose the main tasting menu. The other half chose the vegeterian tasting menu

The shared dishes at the beginning like samosa, the eggplant and the flash fried salad were delicious and of high standard. It weeted our appetite for the main courses to follow

We were exteremely disappointed. The 4 dishes both vegeterian and meat were quite ordinary, buffet style with possible exception of lentils ( veg) and the fish dish ( main)

I would not recommend this place, at least not the tasting menu.

Some of the most delicious Indian food I have had. Could only get a reservation for Sunday at 2:15 and only brunch was being served. Not a fan of the brunch menu, but thankfully was still able to get favorite dishes. Love this place!
