Simply outstanding. Tough reservation to get, so we ended up having an early curry lunch on Sunday. Chaat appetizers were great, lamb and chicken entrees were spicy and flavorful. Great truffle nan, raita and house made chutneys. Looking forward to coming back to DC to try a few more things on the menu.

Can’t go wrong with Rasika. Delicious meal and great service, as usual. Asked server to pick wine pairing for our entrees and it was perfect! Overall, another great dining experience which keeps us wanting to come back. Packed on a Saturday night but didn’t inhibit our conversation.

Everything was great: food, service and atmosphere. We loved each dish, but especially sweet potato samosa and salmon tandoori. We never felt rushed and enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing meal. We had come together from Boston, Pittsburgh and Chicago and will return the next time we are in DC! Highly recommend !

Delicious dinner, great service, and outstanding cocktails. Rasika never disappoints. Husband loved the lamb chops. The halibut and tikka masala were also wonderful.

My friend & I first started out having a few cocktails at the bar before being seated to our table. After reviewing the menu, we decided to do the Tasting Menu with the wine pairings. Did NOT DISAPPOINT!! It was truly an amazing foodie adventure from beginning to end! The wine pairings were perfect with each serving & the service was excellent! I will definitely make it a point to go there again whenever I am in D.C.

I had planned a birthday dinner for my wife, and noted this in the reservation, with a specific request for a cake. There was no acknowledgement whatsoever that the request had been received, and it was not acted on. We ordered the tasting menu with wine pairings. The wines brought were not the ones listed in the menu, and when we queried these, the waiter informed us that they had to substitute because the ones listed were finished. They paired poorly. The food was good, but was far more than what would have been expected for a tasting menu. All in all, Rasika West is just an average Indian restaurant. There is nothing to really distinguish the food from other Indian restaurants, and we were unimpressed by the quality of the slapdash service which seemed hesitant, uninformed, and not really tuned in to what was going on at the table. Won't go back.

Tasty, and not bad overall, but a different take on Indian cuisine than expected. Sometimes the results were quite good, and could be worth a trip back, for other dishes the results were somewhat lackluster. Service was among the best I've ever had, personally. Interesting case overall and worth a meal. The hype is interesting. I wouldn't say it's overhyped, I can see some of the appeal. The palak chaat was strangely redolent of french fries, which is fun; mango shrimp was nicely made; dessert was super great; the entrees' flavors were underdeveloped or even a bit bland. Perhaps this just wasn't for me and my wife--I wouldn't say our palates are super well developed to discern and identify subtle differences between spice mixes in Indian cuisine, even if we know what we like.
