Love this place. Great staff and great food. Get the fried spinach it is to die for!
See my review for the one in Penn Quarter and up it.
Very good. Elegant room. Been for lunch a few times, never dinner. But have never missed enjoying it immensely.
Wonderful food and service. I make a point of dining here every time I'm in DC.
Not quite up to the original, but in a terrific location. Still well worth the visit, but perhaps in a smaller party than I had the last time.
Great food! Plenty of vegan options. Excellent service.
My favorite Washington restaurant. Has maintained its consistent high quality and creativity for years. Unique!
While the food was fine, neither my husband nor I found it to be the same quality as the other Rasika. And we were disappointed because we had taken a client for lunch that day and bragged about how it was one of the top in the city. But I must say we were let down.
There's nothing better than another Rasika! Wonderful brunch!
My wife and I dine here every Thanksgiving, and the experience is amazing, top to bottom. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and competent. And food and drink are excellent, bar none. Ambiance is so much more open and relaxed than the Penn Quarter Rasika as well.
I always eat at Rasika West End when I am in DC, every other week. Their food is amazing, and their service is impeccable. I just wish they hadn't left Open Table. It is a little more difficult to make a reservation now.
Food was great. I appreciate the ambience of this location. I'd definitely recommend.
Enjoyed the pre-theatre menu which offered several options for each course. Very good value. Superb service.
A great alternative to their other location -- more comfortable and easier to reserve a table for the same food!
We had my parents anniversary dinner here. Color me unimpressed. The food quality in no way compares to Rasika in Penn Quarter. My family was happy but they've never been to the one in Penn Quarter.
Too much hype not enough substance. Worked too hard to be original that the foundational spices and flavors that Indian Food enthusiasts have come to love are lost. Crazy expensive, too, for the small portions. Very disappointing.
Great food, great energy, great service when you can get it. I've dined there several times. On my last visit, our server was disengaged and answered questions perfunctorily. However, the food is always good and you really can't go wrong. I think the Bombay Club owns the Rasikas. The servers should emulate the impeccable servers (and hosts) at the Bombay Clu. In 20 years of eating at Bombay Club, even when I was wrong (had the day of reservation wrong), they have always gone over and beyond. Not so much for Rasika and Rasika West End.
Great food and service--not nearly as noisy as Rasika
Flavors good, but quite overpriced for pretty standard Indian food. The ambiance is ruined by the restaurant policy to nickel and dime you for every grain of rice or piece of bread. If you buy the chutney, it does not come with anything to eat it with, and you have to shell out another $5 for pappadums. For $3 you can get one small individual sized naan or one small cup of rice. Strangely, none of the vegetarian entrees that cost $14-18 come with rice; only the meat entrees come with a small rice. The mushrooms korma and Indian eggplant were tasty, but there were only a few pieces of vegetable swimming in a (very tasty) sauce. The Andhra chicken curry for $19 did come with a small rice to help with the tasty, very mildly spicy sauce, but the chicken breast was so overcooked and dry that it was hard to eat. On the plus side, each of the curry sauces were very flavorful (but they are too stingy with the rice to allow full enjoyment), and the palak chaat was fantastic. It was overall a pleasant meal if not a particularly good value. It is between a 3 and 4, and I went up because the greeter went out of his way to add a chair to the bar to seat us and the bartenders were very nice. I accidentally rated the other location, but am guessing the menu and policies are the same at both.
Most probably the best Indian meal I ever had outside of India. Absolutely gorgeous and the service was excellent too.
I accidentally reviewed the Rasika in Penn Quarter, but I was referring to the one in West End.
The food and atmosphere are fabulous. i really enjoyed the dining experience.
This place is not for Indians. This is one of the worst food I ever had in my whole life and travel in 17 countries and 30+ states in USA. First time heard of eating Biryani (not even more than 4 ounce) with hot sauce to feel it spicy (though they never served hot sauce). Quantities of curries and Size of breads are too small (baby size) for the price you are paying. Nothing can be offered to my 3 year old son, shame to say they don't even have plain yogurt (what kind of Indian Restaurant is this). Highly recommend for Diabetic & BP Patients (Hospitals provide much better food than this to their patients) and people who want to put their money in garbage. The chef need to travel to India to get trained about Indian food or Indian taste (don't experiment on us just watching Youtube videos). I am on my way to Philadelphia and felt happy about 4.5 rating on google reviews, but totally buckwaas food and waste of time going there. The staff makes big hangaama, but useless.
Great tasting dishes! All of them! Try all the appetizers … infact just order all the appetizers and have Indian Tapas.
Outstanding food, great ambience, just wonderful experience!!
Food is great, the ambience is not quite a good as Rasika Penn Quarter, but this is a great place for a nice lunch. Service is excellent.
The food and staff at this location are outstanding! It was my first time dining at this restaurant and this hit all the marks. I am a huge foodie so I love trying new places and weird food combinations, but Rasika keeps it simple and it is wonderful. The food and decor are elevated and upscale, and the staff were very knowledgeable about each dish which was super helpful (not being a huge risk taker when it comes to Indian food). I would definitely come back!
Not your stereotypical Indian food, although familiar flavors.
This is a very special place for lunch. Can't wait to try it for dinner as well. Specialty dishes served elegantly in a relaxed atmosphere. Very suitable for people watching, the large round room is open to the corner location. Food is superb, fresh, and flavorful.
Excellent all around. From the staff, to the food, and the drinks. It was an enjoyable evening and I appreciated the waiter’s recommendations.
This was one of the most delicious meals I have ever had. I would gladly recommend to anyone and can't wait to go back!
Awesome food and service, as always!
Great food, good drinks, impeccable service. Need I say more?
I love going to Rasika for lunch with a group. It's great to have a chance to share more of their wonderful dishes and I love that I can actually hear everyone at the table. We were a group of six and could easily carry on a conversation without straining to hear or needing to shout. So elegant and civilized!
Great food, very friendly and courteous staff. One of the nicest Indian restaurants in USA.
I keep coming back. Never disappoints. I just love the mango shrimp, the palak chaat. The lamb curry. Everything is just perfect. Continue to Keep the excellent standards, please.
Rasika West Wnd did not stand up to the standard of Rasika Penn Quarter. The food was ok and the noise level on its peak. It looked mismanaged and the servers didn’t serve us water when required.
Food & service consistently good in 3 years of eating here
Amazing fresh spices make every dish here a joy to eat!
We enjoyed a wonderful lunch. The decor was beautiful and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was attentive and professional and the presentation and plating of each dish was beautiful. Rasika is consistently excellent every time we go there. A memorable and fantastic dining experience!
While their food remains excellent, their customer service has declined recently. It took them three tries to present us with the correct bill, and they may no apologies for their mistakes. Additionally, the servers were intrusive into our personal space, at several points places their hands on the back of my chair and leaning in from behind me, which was creepy and uncomfortable.
