One of the best options for both Indian and a fine dining experience in the city.
Best Indian food I’ve had
Food was amazing!
Loved the food! Reshmi kebab is amazing and the cocktails are so good! Will definitely come again😀
Believe the hype. The food was absolutely delicious. It was a bit loud for us, but did I mention the food was outstanding?
The food was wonderful and the service was perfect.
A really nice experience, the food was great, and the service was fantastic. Will definitely go again.
Being a foodie, I had to try out this critically acclaimed restaurant. Since, it is always booked, I made my reservation a month in advance and still found only one or two timings that worked during my time in DC. Food is absolutely delicious. Rates are low, everything is around $15 or less. Food quantity is less too though so I'd recommend ordering multiple of an item if you are starving.
Great experience once again. Service is well-tuned and recommendations were fabulous. Guarantee of a enjoyable, delicious experience.
First time and it was amazing. The sate and toffee pudding was excellent. Everything was great including the service. I will definitely be returning.
Arrived a few minutes early for our reservation. They tried to sit three at a table for two. We said no. Tried to do it again, we said no. They made us wait ten minutes beyond out reservation time.
Superb food, but waited ten minutes for water and a server to come to the table. Very busy -- but it always is, so get more staff if you can't match the quality of your food with the quality of your service. The price demands it.
Wonderful food and wonderful service ! A special thanks to waiter named Blake who blew me away ! Thanks so much Blake amazing night amazing experience !
Lived up to the hype. Outstanding in all ways.
Great flavors. The cod was wonderful. Server made helpful auggestions.
Had to wait more than a hour despite of reserving a month ago.
As always, the food is very good to excellent. The servers are knowledgeable and provide valuable direction. Service is good and professional. The menu is broad enough for every tase, and succinct enough that every dish is well prepared. An opportunity for improvement is both the content and pricing of the wine list. In short- Rasika is my go to upscale Indian food place in DC.
Great service. Good food as a fixed menu. Dessert besides cardamom ice cream was okay.
Wonderful food and service for a birthday celebration. Thank you!
Goat biryanis wit dal mahkni was ridiculously good. Never had a bad meal there. It’s the best Indian restaurant in the US
I have been coming to Rasika for years, I have raved about it so much so that many of my friends, coworkers and clients have discovered it as well. We have held small work luncheons and dinners based on my recommendations over the years. I have always without fail, had a great dinning experience. Unfortunately this time, was the exception. I made my reservation for 5 about a week before.I had corporate colleagues coming in from Vermont , and had raved about Rasika. I guess they overbooked or missed the timing of when the tables would turn over. In any event we waited over 45 minutes to an hour for the table. We were in a crowded small area upfront by the door They did make efforts to lessen the impact: Sparking Wine and two appetizers but the experience was still off and exhausting.
A return visit to one of my favorite DC restaurants. Everything was superb as always. Had the vegetarian tasting menu. Tremendous.
I loved the dinner. The spinach was just as good as people say. I have one complaint. As a fan of Indian food I love the naan. We orders it. When it came out it was a single piece of naan bread. Delicious. Made to order. But! One single piece for the entire table. And the shrimp appetizer is four small pieces. That is what we left the restaurant talking about. Charge more and fill that basket up with naan.
Food was delicious. Every dish ordered was unique in taste and composition. Though generally a fan of non-mixed drinks, the cocktails were thoughtfully and artfully prepared. Staff and service were all top notch.
It was very authentic good and great experience as service was great too
The fire alarm went off throughout the entire meal (strobe lights and the works). Literally from the moment our server put the food on the table, my partner and I couldn't hear each other. My partner is susceptible to seizures so we tried to get out as soon as possible. Terrible experience considering we also got a complete check, displaying the restaurant's lack of remorse, and that I made this reservation four months ago.
Took my wife there on her birthday and it was fantastic. There is a reason why it is so highly rated. Deductively will be returning
Awesome meal. Best Indian food we've ever tasted. Amped up and vibrant flavors.
Outstanding, as always. The menu doesn't change much through the years, but the kitchen team always cooks the dishes to near perfection. Service is almost always top notch, too. Kudos!
Wonderful meal! Fantastic flavors, incredible quality, really great experience! We loved Rasika and will be back!
Wonderful all around. Very accommodating when running late due to traffic
Long term customer. Excellent- some items seem to be spicier than before or expected but always great food.
Great food. Great service. Be sure to make reservations. It was extremely busy even at 1:30PM.
Our dinner at Rasika was a fantastic experience that made us all wish we were in DC more often. We enjoyed the Chicken Green Masala, garlic naan and palak chaat. I will definitely come back!
We had read the reviews, and it certainly did not disappoint. Great food, great service, great dining experience! The fried spinach is an absolute must!
Not up to usual standards today. The Bhindi Amchur was underdone even though we specially asked for it to be well done. When we sent it back it came back even more undercooked than before - presumable from a new batch.
The spin h wasn’t as good as before either.
The atmosphere was pleasant, the food was tasty and it was a good place to conduct a business meeting.
My wife and I did the 6-course tasting.
I'll start with the pros:
- The portion sizes were ample and we felt that it was fair pricing for what you got.
- The food was delicious.
-They assured me at the time of ordering that the menu for the tasting was gluten free (many cringe when they hear of this condition, but I'm a physician and can assure you that I suffer if I eat something containing gluten). However, there were items served during the main dish portion and for dessert that were clearly not GF. When I inquired about substitutes, I was told that there were none. I requested this information when placing my order and was assured otherwise..doesn't seem fair to pay for things that I physically can not eat and made clear from the start.
-The service wasn't fantastic (reference my GF issues above); it was very difficult to get refills on hot water for tea despite asking multiple times.
-It was a very loud restaurant. We didn't really mind, but it's definitely not a great place if you're trying to have a conversation.
