What Insiders Are Saying
One of the best options for both Indian and a fine dining experience in the city.
The food was excellent. Best Indian restaurant I've visited in the DMV.
I was very dissatisfied with Rasika. We had our reservation but still we had to wait 45 to 1 hour with small baby to get the table. and also Rasika did not provide High chair for the baby and Restroom did not have changing station.
Overall food was also not that good what we had paid for that.
I don’t think I have ever had such a bad experience with a restaurant before I came to Rasika. We had a 9pm reservation, for which we arrived at 8:55. However, we were not seated until 9:40pm. This is absolutely ridiculous customer service, as I’m not sure why we should ever have to wait that long with a reservation. Additionally, the food was of very low quality and made multiple in my party sick. We will not be back.
It was a delightful evening that awakened the Tate buds! Excellent food, service and ambiance!
Outstanding food as usual. The best Indian food ever, speaking as Indians.
Very attentive and knowledgeable server. Food was fresh and flavorful. Especially enjoyed the palak chaat and dal. Would highly recommend Rasika to others.
Great time had by all. The Staff delivered exemplary service & food is great. Love it!
Rasika was amazing! We loved coming here for a birthday celebration. The service was excellent, the food was incredible, and the overall experience was memorable. The chicken masala, Raan-e-Rasika (lamb) and naan are amazing. I would definitely recommend Rasika to friends and family!
Food was goof but portions were small and expensive. Excellent service.
Birthday but it was not acknowledged
The food and service are very good, but this place is ridiculously expensive. The prices charged for what you get, it's just not worth it. Unfortunately, this will be our last visit.
Rasika is not as good as it reputation suggests. The shrimp in the curry shrimp had absolutely no flavor, should have been cooked in the curry sauce to absorb some flavor. Some pieces of lamb in the lamb kozambhu dish were not heated all the way through. Sauce was flavorful. Nice atmosphere! Rasika is overpriced for the quality of the food!
We went to Rasika for my parent’s retirement celebration and wedding anniversary and everyone from the host, manager and the staff made the dining experience one we won’t forget. My parents wondered if I had connections for us to receive such exemplary service, which sadly I do not.
We were seated later than our reservation, but the manager made sure to comp our first round of drinks and sent a few appetizers to the table. The wait was worth it. I would recommend the red snapper and the green curry. The desserts were amazing (**date toffee cake) (complimentary), which were the icing on the cake. The atmosphere and interior is upscale but comfortable. The service made us feel special and made the night perfect for my parents, for which I am extremely grateful. Definitely going to be my go to Indian restaurant in the city.
This restaurant never fails to disappoint. The food and wine were exceptional and the service fantastic. Best Indian food - by a long shot - that my friends and I have ever had.
The best restaurant in Washington D.C. !! The eggplant, spicy potato and peanut sauce appetizer is superb ; the black cod entree is sublime; and the glazed apple cake with cardamon ice cream desert is to die for ! Run, don't walk, to this outstanding culinary experience !!
Raskia is my favorite restaurant and it never disappoints. This was my date's first meal at Raskia and it was perfect from start to finish. Our server made excellent recommendations from start to finish, including wine and cocktails. He apologized for seating us almost 30 minutes later than our reservation by presenting us with a lovely complementary first course that was brought out immediately. Our meal and service was exemplary and we're already planning to return with friends.
Great! The service was exceptional and the food was unreal. With the understanding that the restaurant was on the pricey side, at the end, it was well worth it.
Excellent all around- the ambience was romantic, the food was outstanding (everything we ordered was great, no complaints on any of the food), and our waiter was also excellent, one of the best Ive ever had. He explained dishes on the menu and pointed us to popular items
Excellent as usual!!! I will ne back as soon as possible, and will be recommending the restaurant to colleagues from out of town.
My husband and I had a great time on my birthday, and especially devoured the seekh kebab drizzled with truffle oil--our all time favorite. My recommendation would be to expand your by the glass wine list. I would really like to pair my food with a nice Malbec to be precise. Kudos to the chef and the team!
One of the top Indian restaurants in DC. Great service.
Consistently delicious.
food should have been served hotter... it was warm at best.
The staff that served us from beginning to end was excellent! We had the four course tasting menu (one non-veg and one veg) and every bite was amazing! We look forward to a return trip and would highly recommend Rasika for special occasion dining.
Just great again. Since we were going to a play, we chose dinner from the pre-theater menu. First, understanding this, staff made it unrushed and pleasant including when our daughter came for a brief visit. Second, the pre-theater menu had a variety of choices including Palak Chaat which has become a family favorite.
Amazing service! Coat check, packaged left overs and gave ticket to pick up when ready...very convenient and service was attentive and outstanding. Food was amazing!
Overall great experience, excellent food and very good service.
Friends recommended Rasika. I will definitely recommend Rasika. The ambiance is very lively before 9:30. The food is fantastic. The most gourmet Indian cuisine I have ever had. Great curry and sides, nice wine selections available and a very interesting specialty cocktail list. Fun night!
Food was extremely good, as usual. However, we were very rushed through the whole meal.
Phenomenal!
Not your average Indian food--very light yet with lots of great flavors.
My only complaint was the noise level--certainly not as terrible as most bistros but not conducive to intimate conversation.
Good food, and excellent service! I had the mixed grill. Great dish to experience 3 different meats. Chicken, salmon and lamb.
We had the four course tasting menu and I highly recommend it! It’s tough to get a reservation here for a reason, it’s just that great.
True Indian cuisine. Pricey but worth the cost to enjoy such beautifully prepared and flavorful dishes. Highly recommend.
Wonderful meal.
Simply amazing! Our waiter did a wonderful job guiding us through the menu so we were able to taste a broad range of dishes. Preparation and presentation of dishes was impeccable. We can't wait to visit again!
Rasika always delivers - exceptional food, wonderful complex flavors, and an upscale but comfortable atmosphere.
Rasika has reliably delicious food and service. One of my favorite places to go for a celebratory occasion. Our server on this evening made useful recommendations and we loved everything we ate.
Service is phenomenal.
I have loved Rasika for years and have never had a bad meal item until this last reservation. The Gobhi Mattar side dish was not good and needs to be rethought if that is how it always is. Or maybe it was simply a bad night.
