What Insiders Are Saying
One of the best options for both Indian and a fine dining experience in the city.
Went for restaurant week for the second year in a row. The service was outstanding and the food was out of this world. I brought out of town guests and they had the best experience.
One of the best restaurants in DC. My team and I love going there.
one of the best indian restaurants in the city. always a joy to go there
Excellent food and service. The downside is that it might be on the loud side for conversation, but overall a great experience.
Always exceptional! The food is 5 star quality, among the best. Very clean flavors, phenomenal food and cocktails. Always a fantastic experience that we look forward to.
Did the chef's tasting menu...everything was superb, but that amazing cod still haunts me (never in my life did I imagine I be lauding cod in any way). When I moved to DC everybody kept saying go to Rasika...5 years later, I finally see what they were swooning about.
Neither the food &/or the service was worth the hype! It was a fair, tried once , definitely not dying to go back! I really would have loved to & wanted to say otherwise so I am disappointed that I am not based on the experience.
The food is always superb but it's very pricey. I have to say worth every penny. The hostess and staff are not superb, but I go there for the food.
The food is good, the service is a little so. This place is so highly rated that they read their own reviews and behave as if you are lucky to be there (and given the line for reservations, I suppose you are). The food gets them 5 stars, the attitudes 3.
Outstanding, amazing, must try Palak Chaat salad. Delicious dishes if you like Indian cuisine. very professional and pleasant service. I was there several times and it is still one of my favorites in DC.
Good food but not the best I've ever had. As expected DC prices.
Love this place, go back several times a year. Food is fantastic, ambiance is great, really love it.
Everything about this place is amazing. The food, service, and ambiance are outstanding for a nice nice out.
Definitely lived up to its reputation. Amazing food, outstanding service, beautiful decor.
delicious, refined flavors. the multicourse meals are super fun
I've been a fan of Rasika since the night it opened. Not once have I been disappointed in a meal there.
Great atmosphere and excellent Indian food dishes.
Very nice decor. Lively atmosphere. Excellentent menu options and very flavorful dishes.
Wonderful food! Also a great option for those with Celiac. Most of the food is gluten free and the staff understands how to prevent cross contamination.
Best Indian restaurant i've ever been to. there are so many fantastic dishes.
the food is delicious, the restaurant location is great, the ambiance is very pleasant and the service well done. I will be back.
Definitely loved this spot for the diverse menu choices. There wasn't a bad dish you could pick
Always a good spot to eat at. Make sure to make reservations because they are usually packed.
Only good thing is the food came hot to the table.
Small quantities and not authentic indian.
Good seating but poor service took 15 mins to get somebody's attention between meals
The food was outstanding and the vibe was good. However, it was very loud and hard to hear my guests.
Flavors good, but quite overpriced for pretty standard Indian food. The ambiance is ruined by the restaurant policy to nickel and dime you for every grain of rice or piece of bread. If you buy the chutney, it does not come with anything to eat it with, and you have to shell out another $5 for pappadums. For $3 you can get one small individual sized naan or one small cup of rice. Strangely, none of the vegetarian entrees that cost $14-18 come with rice; only the meat entrees come with a small rice. The mushrooms korma and Indian eggplant were tasty, but there were only a few pieces of vegetable swimming in a (very tasty) sauce. The Andhra chicken curry for $19 did come with a small rice to help with the tasty, very mildly spicy sauce, but the chicken breast was so overcooked and dry that it was hard to eat. On the plus side, each of the curry sauces were very flavorful (but they are too stingy with the rice to allow full enjoyment), and the palak chaat was fantastic. Greeters and bartenders were friendly and it was overall a pleasant meal if not a particularly good value.
Most probably the best Indian meal I ever head outside of India. Absolutely gorgeous. Service was excellent too.
Rasika is an outstanding restaurant. We always enjoy the food, atmosphere and service. I would definitely recommend it.
Upscale Indian food - It is a unique experience and has something for everyone. You can also ask for some food to be less spicy if you can't handle the heat like me.
Food is delicious and the staff is very attentive!
It must have been an off night, which can happen. The service was excellent but the food was surprisingly one-note, bland offerings. I love Indian food, but this was well below average.
Always a fantastic meal. Love Rasika in Penn Quarter and West End.
Go-to place for amazing Indian dishes - Get the Palak Chaat (crispy spinach) soooo good.
If you can, def get the tasting menu, you won't regret it.
This is just one of the best.. The flavors are amazing the service is top notch and don't leave without have the Black Cod. it will melt in your mouth
wow! amazing food. Sometimes all curries taste the same not the case here! Very fresh ingredient cooked fresh.
Great Indian food in a comfortable setting with really good service
Worth the cost. Excellent service. Superlative food
Always fabulous. The crispy spinach is a must as is the dhal.
Incredibly delicious food and a great value for the quantity of food you get.
I have been to this place 3 times so far. The food is delicious! However, I didn't enjoy it the last time I was there (maybe their head chef was not there that day?) There are only certain dishes like the palak chaat and the seekh kebab which I liked more than the entrees.
Worth one visit at least.
