The food was excellent as ever. The server was a bit below their regular spectacular level last night but this is the first time this has happened in several meals.

Whenever my husband and I know that we're going to be in DC for business, we try to make a reservation at Rasika--often months ahead of time. It's THE best Indian restaurant on the planet, as far as we're concerned. Every dish we've had is our favorite; the crispy spinach is beyond delicious! Service has always been excellent, and the servers are knowledgable and helpful regarding what to order if one has dietary restrictions. We also appreciate the relaxed atmosphere. The cocktails are also sublime. I'd have given the restaurant more than five stars, if that option had been available.

The best Indian restaurant in the US, hands down! Great service and absolutely flavorful food. Reminds me of some of the best food experiences I’ve had in India. (I’m talking Taj, ITC, JW etc.)

We've been several times over the years, but this time, everybody just seemed harried. It was very noisy and chaotic, and we had to wait well beyond our reservation time. The food was good but not great, but perhaps that was more about the frustration we were feeling at that point. I hope that this was a one-time thing and not a trend, because Rasika has always been one of our favorite go-to spots for special nights.

Rasika is hands down my favorite restaurant in DC. The food and service is consistently outstanding year after year. Two of my lunch companions had never gone but are now huge fans.

I've dined at both Rasika locations and have never been disappointed. The spinach chaat is my constant starter. It completely impressed by guest who was a first-timer at Rasika. We thoroughly enjoyed the Chicken Tikka Masala and Makkai Kofta . As per usual, the bread basket was a perfect combination of three kinds of bread which we dipped into the creamy sauces of both the chicken and kofta . The wine, a Sauvignon Blanc, was perfect with the meal. I look forward to my next visit to Rasika and hope to broaden my repertoire of choices.

Great as always. Great Vegetarian options - You can't really find a better Dal Makhani or Palak Chaat. Make sure to reserve well in advance for special occasions, especially for the hours between 630 and 9 pm. Gregory was our server, and he was very very pleasant, good and efficient.

Fabulous! Wonderful lunch with attentive and thoughtful staff. There is no doubt that this is one of the very best restaurants in Washington. Added plus to delicious food, the room is quiet enough to carry on a conversation! You cannot go wrong here.

We always make it a point to eat at Rasika when we are in DC. Great food, attentive service and a pleasant atmosphere. The black cod is a particular favorite. My only gripe is how tough it is to get a table some nights.

Friends were in town from Colorado, and my wife's parents as well who live in D.C. Neither of them were too familiar with Indian food, but everyone agreed the entrees were excellent and the desserts so good and unique. Thanks for a great experience!

There's a reason why Rasika is voted one of the best Indian restaurants in the country. The food is alsways fabulous! Waiters are knowledgeable, make excellent recommendations and their service is perfect. I took my husband who didn't think he'd like Indian food - haha - he loved it - still talking about it!

See you soon! Rasika!

I used to love Rasika, however this time I was very unimpressed. We couldn't understand our waiter, he wasn't personable at all, and we felt rushed to get out the entire time. We ordered the 4-course tasting menu which was highly overvalued - definitely was not worth the hefty price tag associated with it. Last time I had the tasting menu, the sample curries were delicious. This time, they were mediocre at best. The crispy spinach was delicious, but everything that followed was once again, underwhelming. I was rather disappointed and if I do ever go back, I will try to venture out of the tasting menu arena and hopefully have a better dining experience.

Rasika has a great atmosphere, wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable service. The appetizers were creative and delicious, my husband and I shared 4 of them. The entrees were tasty as well. Portions are slightly smaller then other Indian restaurants we’ve been to but, we were not disappointed.

Waiter was condescending and his uniform was not clean.

Food is ok but I don't think it rates the high marks it's given. There are several Mom and Pop places I would rather go to.

By far the best and classiest Indian restaurant I've ever been to. Since it was our first time, we followed the server's recommendations and weren't steered wrong. Every dish was perfect and the service was fast. Not cheap however.
Has to be the only Indian restaurant I've been to with a sommelier. Nice wine list.

Waitress was not very attentive, my wife had a dirty appetizer plate, and we waited an unusually long time for our non alcoholic beverages. Aside from this issues, the food was excellent and moderately priced. Based on other reviews I’d bet that our experience was out of the norm.

We love indian food and were excited to try out Rasika after the rave reviews. The appetizers were amazing. Fresh and unique flavors that went well together. Same for desserts. Twists on classics like jalebi that make them amazing. Entrees were mediocre at best. With the exception of the grilled salmon (which was excellent), other other 4 entrees (2 chicken 1 lamb, and one veggie) were bland and uninspired. I'd call them amateur attempts at indian food. So my overall rating of 3 reflects the mixed food experience.

The restaurant was nicely decorated and the noise level was not obtrusive. We started with ragda pattice and dal markhani which were tasty. Our tandori mixed grill gave us an opportunity to sample 3 meats--chicken, sausage, and salmon. The service was most attentive and gracious. We see why Rasika is one of D.C.'s hot places to visit.
