One of the best options for both Indian and a fine dining experience in the city.
we have been to rasika before but this time the server was not really friendly. He was not very clear with the dishes and options we asked for.
This was my second time back in three days
In DC for business and loved each visit
Spinach appetizer and black Cod were amazing
I would definitely make it a priority to go back next visit
An altogether excellent dining experience. The food is fresh, innovative and delicious. I would classify it as nouvelle Indian. Our waiter was charming and attentive. A very special restaurant.
Absolutely delicious. The fried spinach salad was exceptional. Loved all the flavors of the six course tasting menu, but it was a little too generous in portions for me. My husband just about made it through. Was so glad to get such a broad sampling of their offerings though.
Food and service was top notch. Thoroughly enjoyable evening.
The food is amazing and the value is hard to beat in the DC. Service was excellent from the valet parking to the time we left. Can be a bit noisy when crowded but did not bother us a bit. The waiter gave great recommendations.
I have an annual trip to Washington DC, and always schedule far ahead for dinner reservations at Rasika. It has become one of the highlights of my trip. The service is excellent and the food is fantastic! I can't wait to return next year.
Best Indian food I’ve had
Great food and service....a little too much garlic in one of the dish or the green sauce for the lamb shiskebab...other than that excellent place and as for taste....delicious! Thanks
Food is both innovative and authentic. Went with my husband who is Indian and he was very excited to see dishes that are less common in Indian restaurants in the US, but with a modern twist. Was a great, romantic atmosphere for our anniversary dinner.
We booked Rasika for dinner while touring Washington DC because of recommendations online. We all felt like this was the best dinner we had in DC. Great crispy baby spinach and a shammi kabob appetizer (lamb) followed by chicken tikka Masala, Black cod, daal, basmati rice and garlic naan. Their bar drinks were great as well. Highly recommended!
One of the best restaurants in DC. It never disappoints.
Fabulous meal! The food was so tasty and the service was perfect. Visiting from out of town and had been wanting to go there for a long time. Can't wait to go back.
Had an incidental lunch idea with a last minute reservation. Outstanding service (we arrived early but were seated promptly). Todd was an excellent waiter with helpful cocktail suggestions. Food very good. Palak Chatt nice and crispy. Seekh Kebab good with mild flavor. Tandoor Salmon perfectly cooked. Cauliflower Bezul tasty with crisp thick coating that hides the presence of the veggie. Overall experience was great.
Food was amazing!
Loved the food! Reshmi kebab is amazing and the cocktails are so good! Will definitely come again😀
Believe the hype. The food was absolutely delicious. It was a bit loud for us, but did I mention the food was outstanding?
The food was wonderful and the service was perfect.
A really nice experience, the food was great, and the service was fantastic. Will definitely go again.
Being a foodie, I had to try out this critically acclaimed restaurant. Since, it is always booked, I made my reservation a month in advance and still found only one or two timings that worked during my time in DC. Food is absolutely delicious. Rates are low, everything is around $15 or less. Food quantity is less too though so I'd recommend ordering multiple of an item if you are starving.
Great experience once again. Service is well-tuned and recommendations were fabulous. Guarantee of a enjoyable, delicious experience.
First time and it was amazing. The sate and toffee pudding was excellent. Everything was great including the service. I will definitely be returning.
Arrived a few minutes early for our reservation. They tried to sit three at a table for two. We said no. Tried to do it again, we said no. They made us wait ten minutes beyond out reservation time.
Superb food, but waited ten minutes for water and a server to come to the table. Very busy -- but it always is, so get more staff if you can't match the quality of your food with the quality of your service. The price demands it.
Wonderful food and wonderful service ! A special thanks to waiter named Blake who blew me away ! Thanks so much Blake amazing night amazing experience !
Lived up to the hype. Outstanding in all ways.
Great flavors. The cod was wonderful. Server made helpful auggestions.
Had to wait more than a hour despite of reserving a month ago.
As always, the food is very good to excellent. The servers are knowledgeable and provide valuable direction. Service is good and professional. The menu is broad enough for every tase, and succinct enough that every dish is well prepared. An opportunity for improvement is both the content and pricing of the wine list. In short- Rasika is my go to upscale Indian food place in DC.
Great service. Good food as a fixed menu. Dessert besides cardamom ice cream was okay.
Wonderful food and service for a birthday celebration. Thank you!
Goat biryanis wit dal mahkni was ridiculously good. Never had a bad meal there. It’s the best Indian restaurant in the US
I have been coming to Rasika for years, I have raved about it so much so that many of my friends, coworkers and clients have discovered it as well. We have held small work luncheons and dinners based on my recommendations over the years. I have always without fail, had a great dinning experience. Unfortunately this time, was the exception. I made my reservation for 5 about a week before.I had corporate colleagues coming in from Vermont , and had raved about Rasika. I guess they overbooked or missed the timing of when the tables would turn over. In any event we waited over 45 minutes to an hour for the table. We were in a crowded small area upfront by the door They did make efforts to lessen the impact: Sparking Wine and two appetizers but the experience was still off and exhausting.
A return visit to one of my favorite DC restaurants. Everything was superb as always. Had the vegetarian tasting menu. Tremendous.
I loved the dinner. The spinach was just as good as people say. I have one complaint. As a fan of Indian food I love the naan. We orders it. When it came out it was a single piece of naan bread. Delicious. Made to order. But! One single piece for the entire table. And the shrimp appetizer is four small pieces. That is what we left the restaurant talking about. Charge more and fill that basket up with naan.
Food was delicious. Every dish ordered was unique in taste and composition. Though generally a fan of non-mixed drinks, the cocktails were thoughtfully and artfully prepared. Staff and service were all top notch.
It was very authentic good and great experience as service was great too
