Went on marriage anniversary. Awesome experience. Very good food and amazing service. Will visit again
Many of the appetizers and vegetable dishes were better than the entree fishes and meats. "Layered" naan was a must.
Always great food!
A mix of unique and classic Indian dishes. Everything was very good. Glad I booked through Open Table a full month in advance.
Rasika never disappoints. We’ve been dining here for years, and the food and service have been consistently superb.
Great food. I definitely would return to try more dishes.
Food is great, service not as much. Over three hours for the chef's tasting. Server was very nice but often missing and some awkward long breaks between meals. Can't stress enough the food is fantastic.
Food and ambiance was amazing. Enjoyed and appreciated the great service.
Love coming to Rasika. Service was excellent and food was delicious. Big fan of the green masala??
Awesome as always!
Great waiter/ food and ambiance
Delicious! Service was wonderful.
Rasika has the best combination of great Indian food and excellent service. No wonder it can be hard to get a reservation. I always choose Rasika when clients would like an excellent dining experience.
This was great we! I have dinned at the other location and the service and food was just as great. I will be here every time I am DC.
Thank you to the staff for seating us early due to a reservation mixup and thank you all for your kindness!
Definitely worth a visit if you are a lover of Indian food. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and fast. Service was impeccable.
The maitre d Steve was rude, brusque. Left me sitting at the bar and seated 20 people who came after me. I was first to arrive and had 530 pm and was asked to wait at the bar. When it was time to be seated 2 waves of people were seated while I was still at the bar. When I reminded him he was short and informed me that I would be seated when I settled the bar tab. Definitely a misfit in the setup.
I had high expectations of the food was a little disappointed. But, Overall a good experience.
I've always loved Rasika but this visit was the best one I've experienced. We did the pre-theater menu and the salmon entree was melt-in-your-mouth good, as was the Sali Boti lamb entree. Of course, we enjoyed the signature Palak Chaat and the Sev Puri was amazing. Kathryn was our server and she was very friendly, warm, and even gave us two complementary glasses of Prosecco since we were celebrating our anniversary dinner. Very highly recommended, you can't go wrong with this place!
Excellent food, ambience and service. Visiting from out of town and would recommend and definitely return!!
Ate at Rasika 3 weeks ago and it was superb. This time it was just so, so. Out of 4 main dishes only one dish was very good. I had a wonderful vegetarian dish 3 weeks ago but the menu has since changed and the new vegetarian dish was really quite mediocre and one of the fish dishes was overcooked. I was very disappointed given how long it take to get a reservation at this restaurant !
Lunch was very good and the desert exceptional. We both had the Date & Toffee Pudding, which I could have continued eating. All in all Appetizer, Entre & Dessert did not disappoint.
We waited standing at the bar for 30 minutes for 8:45 reservation
They host was very apologetic but even after we were seated drinks and dinner were slow. We were entertaining friends to whom we got had raived about Rasika. They were understanding and gracious even though our experience lasted nearly three hours.
I love the food but I was not pleased with the service
We had made out reservations almost 3 months earlier. However we still had to wait over 20 minute to be seated. An apology was given and we were handed a drink menu. Then told that we had to go to the bar to order it. Tough start on the service.
Our waiter took special care of our guest with dairy free restrictions.
That was much appreciated.
Of course, the food was amazing, as was the service.
Rasika's is always a favorite.
We attended a matinee at the Shakespeare Theater and had a the pre theater special. Everything was delicious. Our entrees were salmon or lamb, love the spinach appetizer and then dessert.
The most infuriating thing about my experience was the fact that I made a reservation for 2 at 1045p and upon our arrival, was informed that the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes. So, I have to ask, why advertise a reservation opening 15 minutes AFTER the kitchen closes?! We decided to quickly dine at the bar to which the bartender made us quickly rush through our food, clearing our dishes before we even finished eating. We were then handed our bill as the bartender insisted he was closing. Never have I been to a restaurant where patrons are rushed, especially for the price point which the restaurant is set. I enjoy the food at Rasika however this experience is enough to keep me from returning.
We enjoyed our first time experience at Rasika. While waiting for the rest of our party, couple of us enjoyed some delicious specialty drinks (including mocktails). It so happened we had to push our reservation by 45 minutes and we were accommodated with the time change quite smoothly. Most of their portions are small similar to tapas so we managed to order 5-6 options and we weren't dissapointed with any of them.
In all we enjoyed our time there and would try to go again if we manage to find a time slot of our liking which are pretty booked well into 2-3 months ahead.
Excellent food, beautifully displayed. Superb service. Wait staff very helpful and provided recommendations for meal options.
Came highly recommended and did not disappoint. First timers should do the tasting menu.
Fabulous food! Never a dull moment with new and interesting tastes coming to your table with every course. Our waiter was fantastic - attentive and seemed to be enjoying sharing all these wonderful dishes with us. Rather pricey (though maybe not for DC), but can't wait for my next opportunity to dine there.
The service was sloppy and inattentive, and some of the orders did only come across with some difficulty.
Home run all the way around. Lived up to the reputation
As always great service
Excellent meal with a wonderfully attentive server.
Everything about this meal was outstanding from start to finish. The standout was their famous palak chaat with flash fried spinach. Unlike anything I've tasted before. Overall a lot of creative and delicious interpretations of classic Indian dishes. The service was also excellent.
My boyfriend and I did the 6 course menu for my birthday and it was phenomenal. So fresh and flavorful. Outstanding service. Shared a bottle of Lambrusco and it went perfectly with the meal.
Rasika provides an elegant dining experience. The kitchen does fish better and more reliably than any other DC restaurant I've tried. It is never overcooked, never undercooked, but just perfect! The servers are great about providing advice if you're new to the restaurant. Currently my fave restaurant for special occasions. I am never disappointed. Definitely fit for foodies!
Elegant atmosphere with PHENOMENAL food quality and taste. Best meal ive ever had and the staff is very professional and extremely respectful/polite! Would give more stars if I could. Celebrated our anniversary here and it was AMAZING.
Great service (shout out to Kyle) and great food. Came highly recommended and were not disappointed.
