What Insiders Are Saying
One of the best options for both Indian and a fine dining experience in the city.
I felt the entree did not make expectations based on recommendations. The signature salad as very good however the black cod entree was disappointing.
Food was really salty! When you add too much salt, savories turn into inedible dishes! Service was ok. I think our server was in a hurry to be done with us. Wont be visiting here again unless things change for the good.
Quality and service has taken a hit. We ordered four dishes and a couple of them weren't up to the mark. Goat biriyani missed the mark. And the goat meat was not tender. Mango mocktail was watered down. I hope they improve soon.
My daughter and I had a delicious dinner at Rasika last night. She loved it so much that she suggested we go to India for vacation this year.
The service and food were outstanding! Our only complaint was that the two of us were seated at a tiny table that couldn’t accommodate our plates and glasses without constant shuffling and being careful not to knock something on the flour.
Way overhyped, over salted, Americanized Indian food. Go elsewhere.
We chose Rasika to celebrate our 10 year anniversary of being legally married gay men. It was a very special evening and we highly recommend the food. The service was impeccable!
Pretty average Indian food.
Our first visit. Food lived up
To our expectations. We ll be back!
Hands down, the best salmon I have ever tasted! You definitely need to make reservations. Great food, service and atmosphere.
We shared a number of small plates and split the mixed grill entree among four of us. Great way to sample several tasty dishes. Lots of vegetables for those of us pretending to eat healthy. Highly recommend Rasika for elegantly prepared Indian food.
It just doesn’t disappoint. Ever. Knowledgeable servers, polite and attentive without overdoing it, and the food is reliably outstanding. If only I could get into the place more often
Great and attentive service and the best Indian in town.
Family date night
Rasika is a culinary wonder, each dish a perfect reimagining of classic Indian fare.
Palak Chaat. Chicken Tikka Masala. So good. Overall ambiance great as well.
First time dining here after hearing about it from many people, and it lived up to the reviews. Delicious food, great service. Everything was perfectly spiced and cooked.
Not the typical Indian food, but upscale and modernized. Great selections, great desserts.
As always, great dinner at Rasika. Very friendly and fun waiter, good cocktails and of course the always stunning food! Rasika is and remains in our eyes on of the best Indian restaurants in the US! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Delicious food excellent service would definitely come back again
My father advised against eating at Rasika as not as traditional as expected being if Indian heritage. I found our meal very good but Not the best Indian restaurant I have eaten. Some dishes needed more spice and flavor. For non-Indians a very good start but needs improvement for those of Asian background. I disagree with my father and would go back and recommend dining at Rasika.
I am a bit spoiled by this place being so close to work, but took my in-laws here, and they were raving about it as the best Indian food they've ever had (coming from Canada, that says alot too!) That was definitely my reaction the first time I went, and the reason I continue to go regularly. Thanks for another fantastic meal!
Took colleagues from London. Risky, I know, with the quality of curry in the UK. They loved it and are still raving about it. Rasika is the best Indian restaurant in the United States.
AMAZING!! Totally exceeded my expectations. The food and service were absolutely fantastic. Will definitely be visiting again soon!
Incredible service. Some of the best food let alone Indian food I’ve ever had in my life. Definitely get the crispy spinach!
Went here for lunch. Had been to the other Rasika location but like the ambiance of this location. We started with drinks. The Old Fashioned, made with Breckinridge bourbon, was divine. We ordered an eggplant appetizer that was perfectly spiced with jalapeño. We agreed that next time, we're having it as our entree. The crispy spinach was once again a wonder - light, flavorful, and crisp. Our entrees were chicken masala entrees (green and red) - They were very good - but those appetizers had us bewitched. Our server was excellent with suggestions and recommendations. Will definitely return.
Delicious food in a great atmosphere. The dal makhani was absolutely amazing. And you have to try the palak Chaat was a must have.
Food here was absolutely fantastic! Everything came out hot, and very flavorful. It it's pretty pricy, and the wine list leaves some to be desired, but if you're looking for great Indian places, this is one you should definitely stop at.
Best fish- black cod- ever.
When you order multiple items, one rates them from best to ok. You cannot do that here. Everything is outstanding by itself.
Recently visited DC from NYC. A friend of mine and I had a really spectacular meal. My friend is vegetarian so we ordered 5 small veggie dishes and appetizers. Each dish was uniquely delicious. A truly visionary and creative chef is in the kitchen! Five stars all the way!
Food was incredible. Took a friend here for her birthday. We weren’t sure what to get because we wanted to try everything, so we went with the six-course meal. Highly recommend this place.
Best Indian food I have ever had!! Chicken Tandoori and Chicken Masala were on point!! The pistachio saffron dessert was amazing!!
We’ve heard so many great things about Rasika and we’re thrilled to get a gift card to go for our anniversary. Everything we ordered was amazing! The service is out of this world too. We got a few recommendations from friends but also asked our server for advice. We started with the fried spinach- you must get it! We ordered salmon, chicken and duck for our mains. It’s hard to say which we liked best. Everything was cooked to perfection and the spices were just right. We’ll definitely be back!
Attentive staff, excellent cuisine, many menu options for my vegetarian friend. Louder than I expected for a weekday lunch crowd, but it did not have a negative impact on our dining experience. Can’t wait to come back and try different dishes!
I felt this hotel is over rated and over priced...I have had food in other restaurants which is more better than food in here and at less price....
We had the grand course (four courses) menu, and everything was delicious. The first course was a crispy spinach dish with other veggies and yogurt which was textual and taste contrast and delicious. I believe it is one of the more popular appetizers at the restaurant. They gave up a complimentary viggie 2nd course. Then we have a scallop course. Based on the menu I thought we had to choose from one of four offerings, but they gave up small dishes of each of the four -- chicken, lamb, lentils, and veggie. The same with the dessert -- three small desserts that taste good on their own, or in combination. To have so many freshly prepared dishes brought out to your table one after another is a special evening.
Outstanding Indian cuisine. Authentic Indian food which was prepared with great care. Original recipes. Delivered with speed.
Lighting can be improved. It was difficult to read the menu properly because of the dim light.
Great attentive service. Delicious variety of food. Our group of 4 females (after a hard day of work) came here, ordered off the Theater Menu ($37pp), and enjoyed sharing our food family style. Our entrees came with two bowls of rice and a variety of bread to share. Overall very good atmosphere, very good service. I would recommend it.
The food was delicious!!!! I am North Indian and have very high expectations for tasty Indian cuisine. Having heard a lot about Rasika, I was afraid the place would not live up to its reputation. I was surprised when it surpassed my expectations.
