Went for brunch on a Saturday, and the place was completely empty expect for our party. Clearly it isn’t as popular as it used to be. New brunch menu, it’s pretty minimal, but it’s a creative and fun menu. Enjoyed whatever we tried - the stone fruit chaat, vada pav, steak/paneer and egg bhurji. Portions are small as is typical for this type of restaurant, food was enjoyable.

The food was okay, desserts are too sweet which was very disappointing as that’s the last course and you’re left with searching for something to get rid off the heavy sweetness from your palate.

Worst Mother’s Day brunch ever! They were taking “made to order” notion literally! so each table was getting their food in serial fashion. We waited for one hour. Few tables left after waiting forever. Food was decent but not worth the $$$ being charged and definitely not worth the long wait. Automatic 20% gratuity charge was an added insult. NEVER AGAIN!

We liked the location of Rasai Indian in the Fremont area which is quite attractive this time of year. The interior is also pleasant and tasteful. However, the service is clearly needing a lot of improvement. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant when we entered, but still it took over an hour for our order to be served. We did not order anything fancy, so it was all the more surprising to experience this enormous delay. Also, at no time did anyone approach us to explain that it would take a little time to get everything organized for us. It was only when we called one of the hosts and asked about the tremendous delay that some of the food was served within a few minutes. One last item then took almost another 10 minutes. As I said, nothing that we ordered was super extraordinary so we remain nonplussed. Why don't the hosts know that they must keep customers informed of inordinate delays like this? We will not have Rasai Indian people on our restaurant list.

The food and drinks were amazing and the service was incredible. It was almost empty on a Sunday which was surprising. Great food, great people.

We were here on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant was empty, but there was no one at the door to seat us. We had to wait quite some time to be seated. Ordered Samosa Art, Pani puri flight, Paneer Kofta, Katsu CTM, Bread Sampler. The pani puri flight was extremely salty, just couldn’t finish it. I informed the server about it while he was came to clear the appetizer plates, he just smiled and took our plates away. Zero apologies or offering a replacement/taking it off the bill. The Samosa Art was decent, nothing exceptional. The Katsu CTM was bland and so dry. The portion size was so small that the curry wasn’t enough to even cover the chicken pieces. After bringing out the bread sampler and the curry, the server looks at and asks us if this is going to enough for us. My husband and I were puzzled, and then we realized the curry wouldn’t be enough for the breads. The server should have suggested to order another curry when we initially placed the order instead of asking when the food arrived. We order another curry after - Paneer Kofta. The curry was underwhelming and the koftas seemed undercooked or just bland. The breads from the Bread Sampler were good. Overall the service was sub par and slow as well. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and I don’t think we would give this place another shot

Great food and great service, I could not be more pleased. I brought my children there for an early Friday dinner and it was the perfect cap to a busy day. The chef at Rasai has done an excellent job of holding to traditional Indian flavors presented in Pacific NW, Latin American, and contemporary Indian formats. My children devoured the Kosha Duck Tacos barely letting me taste, but the small bite I did have was moist and flavorful on a soft Indian bread laid out as a taco. And I implore you to order the Broken Tiki appetizer... just trust me. We moved on to the Goat Curry and the Biryani which were both delicious. And while the curry was dancing on the upper limit of my kiddos' spice threshold because of the incredible flavor (and cooling yogurt sauce) the could not stop. More than the food, the service was second to none. We dined ahead of their evening rush so it near felt like an exclusive reservation. The service staff was great and took the time to answer my questions on what inspired certain combinations and made me and my children feel more than welcome.
