At RASA our philosophy is simple. Our goal is to convey our enthusiasm and passion for southern Indian coastal cuisine in a way which gives you a perspective on our hunt for perfect ingredients, techniques and deep rooted desire to present this unique cuisine which is a perfect weaving of traditional Indian techniques and modern flavors.

Progressive “Southern Indian Cuisine” inspired by recipes from home cooks to royal chefs of Indian Maharajas using freshest, finest and healthiest locally grown produce, sustainable seafood and free range poultry & meat. We tried many dishes on menu and each was very good. Everyone enjoyed the food. Vegetarian and Meat dishes both were very tasty. Drink choices were decent. Kulfi was excellent. Had good fun. Thanks chef Arun Sudhir and staff.

                                                                                                                                                                            Rasa is one of our favorite restaurants in the bay area. They never fail to impress. All our non indian friends this is the first restaurant we recommend for a introduction to indian food. Love the personal touch from the owner Ajay also. Always get an email from his to make sure we had a good experience. Hope he opens many more such exclusive food experiences:-)

                                                                                                                                                                            This was my 3rd visit to Rasa, and the food was equally as good as the previous visits, but the service has gotten better. Service, in the past, was attentive but not very fast; on this occasion the staff was knowledgeable, informative, attentive, and quick. Our table enjoyed our food (two appetizers and two small specialty entrees) and a bottle of wine for a very reasonable price - and everything was delicious.

Based on the popularity of the restaurant, a bigger and more formal place is needed. I was expecting a Michelin star ambience experience! However the setting was compensated by the taste of the chutneys and spices.
