Here’s a shorter version ideal for Yelp or Google: --- Took my boyfriend to **Rare** for his birthday since he loves steak and we’d heard great things. The food was very good and we ended up taking leftovers home. The restaurant was surprisingly dark—not just mood lighting, but hard to see—which was tough for me as someone visually impaired. Our waiter was polite but not especially engaging. Overall, a good spot for a special occasion, just wish it had a bit more light and warmth. --- Want me to tweak the tone to be more casual or more formal?

We found our new steakhouse! My husband is very particular when it comes to his steak, so he prefers to make it himself because he’s been disappointed a couple of times. I made a reservation at Rare for his 45th birthday, last night. We were immediately warmly welcomed by the host and the front of the house manager, with no wait to be seated. James, who took care of us for the evening, was so attentive and didn’t miss a beat. Actually, all of the staff took care of us. I can’t tell the last time I had so many table touches, it felt really good. The food was delicious and portions are more than generous, I’m eating my leftovers while I write this review. My husband had the 48 oz porterhouse, my son had the 20 oz T-bone and I had the scallop scampi. The drinks were flavorful, I had the cucumber cooler and my husband had an old fashioned and Manhattan. To end the evening, James brought out the banana chocolate chip ice cream to celebrate the hubby, it was so good. We will definitely be back.

My daughter really enjoys this restaurant for the angel hair pasta. I brought the rest of my family there and my son and I ordered the porterhouse steak. I was not impressed. For a steakhouse it should come off hot ready to go. It seems like their porterhouse steak was reheated or something. It just didn’t have the quality that I expected but overall the service the restaurant and everything is great about this place. They just need to do a little bit better with your steaks

Outstanding steaks, cooked exactly to my liking…delicious appetizers also…and cookie skillet dessert was fantastic! Great service. Lighting was a little dark in my section of restaurant but that was really only nitpick.
