Dinner was amazing and our server Charity was pleasant and took great care of us!
Food was great and drinks were yummy. We had oysters, king crab legs, and a New York strip with mushrooms. I had the bees knees for a drink and had to order another. For dessert we had an espresso martini and bananas foster and everything was delicious.
Overall experience was great. Our server Quinn was excellent.Only issue is that our steaks were mixed up,I ordered mine medium and received my fiancé’s medium-well.She got my medium with the surf and turf on top.Wasn’t a huge deal but for the price you want what you ordered,we didn’t have time for them to redo order and just ate what we had.
It was my birthday and I'm so glad I spent my night at Rare it was beautiful and my family enjoyed it tremendously!
Love this place. However, wait staff did not do the best job of spacing tables out. Also, also a diner was consistently coughing with no mask on and the waitstaff did not address the potential hazard.
Server was attentive, but not obtrusive.
Steaks had a nice crust and were served at the requested temperature.
I surprised my fiancé for his birthday, everything was fantastic!
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Rare steakhouse. Our server, Justin, was attentive and took time to answer our questions. I had the waygu and my husband had the porterhouse. Best steaks we've ever had. We paired these with the lobster mac, crispy brussels, and roasted mushrooms which were all great. The ambiance in the restaurant was romantic and cozy. We will definitely be back!
I have been to a few steak houses in Milwaukee but this was my first time at Rare. It was the best experience from the staff to the food I’ve had. I cannot wait to go back.
Food and service were excellent!
We had my birthday dinner at Rare. The ambiance was beautiful. Having visited many dry aged steakhouses all over New York where it started I was expecting my Milwaukee dry aged Tomahawk ribeye to be on par with my previous dry aged experiences. It was not. The Au Poivres sauce was possibly the worst sauce I’ve ever eaten, and I’m all about an Au Poivres or bordelaise on my steak. I ordered a Four Roses bourbon old fashioned, I received a Makers Mark old fashioned. Our waiter did not wrap our leftovers or offer any kind of birthday item despite other guests in the restaurant receiving that level of service. Rare left a lot to be desired. Don’t waste your money here, just go to a chain restaurant or any other steakhouse in Milwaukee. 5 stars for booking, 5 stars for ambiance, 2 stars for service, and a 3 for the cooking. And no way are they dry aging those steaks.
Great food, served by great people! Charity and Justin were wonderful.
Awesome dry aged steaks and a great atmosphere! Will def be back
Excellent environment, Clean, Great food Steak phenomenal and We had a banana dessert prepared at the table with flames, cinnamon sparkles, a la mode something you must try! very unique dessert our server was Justin great guy He has very good recommendations for your starters.
Definitely We will come back!
Great food great service! Our waiter Pete took very good care of us!
Came here for my 21st birthday and the experience was great, just like the food! High class ambient with good food and drinks to pair. 5/5!
Very pricey for steak that isn't cooked right. Manager just took it back and had it reheated. Didn't offer to comp anything. If your paying that much it should be right the first time every time.
The ambiance and service was great. The quality of steak was good, but lacked a lot of flavor. For the money you pay and the flavor of food you get is very mediocre.
Excellent ambiance and very intimate dining. However, the steak was a serious disappointment especially at the price, I've had better at a supper club; very chewy for a filet and not much flavor. The lobster bisque was top notch but they give you about 2 oz for $13. It was good for a one off, but I doubt I'll go back.
Social distancing and consideration for others health was great. Felt safe here. They were out of some liquor bottles which was odd. Steak was great and sides were ok. Service with Raj was excellent!!!
Our second experience at Rare ans it was amazing. Service, food, and just overall atmosphere were fantastic. The lobster mac and cheese is to die for.
The steak wasn’t cooked properly, the pork belly wasn’t crispy, it was actually slimy, the meat was full of gristle, and the meat wasn’t even hot when it came out. We ordered five different of beef including the A5 Wagyu. The “medium” steak was cooked less than the person who ordered “medium rare.” Their chef doesn’t even understand how to correctly cook meat. I even question if the meat was prime.
They pride themselves on being the only steakhouse in milwaukee to age their prime beef in house. They missed everything on all levels.
The service was great. We ordered 4 bottles of wine and they did a great job with the presentation. The bad food is not their fault. It’s just unfortunate that we spent so much money on a poor experience. Lesson learned: Stick to Eddie Martini’s if you want a good steak in Milwaukee.
I’ve been to the best steakhouses in the country and this place wasn’t even close. The $15 steak and lobster at Silk was better than this!
Felt very safe. Staff all masked and gloved and had great social distancing. Also patrons spread out. Felt very safe the whole time. Food was awesome, just like every other time. Costly, but perfect for special occasions.
Highly Recommend.
It was my partner’s birthday. We had an amazing time. Our server was excellent and provided great recommendations. I definitely recommend dining here.
Food was good. I have eaten at a lot of high end steak houses and was a little disappointed. I was expecting more. Appetizers were lacking in selection. Service was good, but not what I would expect in high end place. But I had this in the middle of COVID. I understand that with reduced customers theses places can’t keep as varied dishes do to waste. Not sure if I return because of cost.
The server was amazing and the food was incredible. One of if not the best steakhouse in Milwaukee.
Great experience. Service was excellent, and our server took the time to engage with us, as well as explain the menu items fully. The food was outstanding as well.
A steak with the power to change your perspective on life.
Pricey, but worth it for excellent steaks and service.
Wait staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was hot and prepared exactly how I requested. Definitely would return.
The finest place to dine in Milwaukee. The best steaks, seafood and service.
Tanner, our server, was fabulous!! We were having lots of fun and he was able to keep up with us.
Ordering a steak from chili's would of been more appetizing and a lot cheaper.
I think the name of our waiter was Dustin. He was awesome.
