   Worst $350 we have ever spent in a meal. Service was horrible - sat for 20 mins before waitress came. Steaks were not cooked how we asked and lobster Mac and cheese was fishy. Didn’t expect $120 steak to taster like roast. NEVER will be back - stick with Carnevor or Five O Clock - Flemmings is even 10x better.

   Overall the experience was “mid”. We went for a birthday celebration. Service was excellent. We got multiple drinks, appetizers, multiple salads, crab cake, oyster Rockefeller. They were all good, nothing notable. Ordered two steaks (NY Strip, and Rib top), scallops and Mac and cheese for my little man, Brussels sprouts. The manager came by to check in, which seemed scripted and robotic. We finished our meal, and got hit with a $500+ bill for a meal for three main entrees. It may be nice for a business event but probably not worth a second visit.

   Truly fantastic. Fresh shucked oysters, bottleneck steak and Wagyu Ribeye. Finished with bananas foster. Wonderful service and great cozy atmosphere. All paired with Banfi Brunello.

   Had a drink at the bar and she was great. She has been here for about 2 years. Made us feel welcomed. Food was very good. They had run out of east coast oysters, what we always try so we tried the west coast. They were ok but not as good as when we have the east coast. Worth the trip though.

   We had the most divine dinner at Rare. Started with Oysters Rockefeller. Done to perfection and delicious. We shared a Tomahawk steak and some of the amazing Wagyu. I’ve never had better prepared or more delicious beef. We never even touched the salt or pepper. Mashed potatoes and creamed corn were delicious as well. We had to have dessert, and the cheesecake equaled my favorite, the chocolate cake was as rich as could be without over doing any of it. An incredible meal to remember

   Food was good, presentation of the restaurant was good. I did notice me and my partner got a different welcome by our server compared to everyone else around us. I don’t understand why. Other than that the restaurant is beautiful and the food was amazing.

   The entire evening was wonderful. We got attentive service without hovering, we had a knowledgeable server and of course, outstanding food! The Gem Wedge Salad was delicious - but be prepared for the size... this is not your typical wedge! It could easily be a salad for 2. The Caesar Salad was a more standard size salad and the dressing had just the right amount of anchovy - added a zing at the end of the bite. The Japanese Waygu... what can I say??? It was rich and flavorful, perfectly seasoned and practically melted on my tongue! Be aware it IS RICH - I don't think anyone could eat more than an ounce or two.... but you'll never forget that ounce or two. The Bottleneck steak was cooked to perfection! I got the Au Poivre sauce and added a beautiful silky spice to the steak. The Crispy Brussel Sprouts!!! I could eat them every day and not get sick of them! The Cinnamon Bread Pudding was like a warm hug at the end of the meal. The caramel sauce pared beautifully with the warm pudding and cold ice cream We ordered a LOT! We enjoyed a LOT. We took home leftovers (yep - a lot). Rave gave us a relaxing night of understated elegance and we never felt rushed.

   Our server was amazing and the food was great. We had the bone marrow, filet, NY strip, corn, mashed potatoes, and cheesecake. The cheesecake was the best I’ve ever had! I LOVED the pear ginger martini and the smoked old fashioned was great too. The only complaint is that our table was literally straight across from the host stand. There should NOT be a table there and no one should be sat there unless the place is full which it definitely was not. We heard every conversation had between the staff and every phone call. It was awkward.

    The drinks and apps are good. The soup could have been warmer. The steak was a disaster. Ordered the 32 oz bone in tomahawk, wanting to split for two as my wife had been here before and when presented with it in the past with work colleagues, she enjoyed it. This time it was inedible. Very raw, to the table. So we sent it back. I’ve never sent a steak back in my life. When it came back, it seemed as though it was put into a blast furnace. The meat nearly tasted deep fried, had 0 flavor and somehow they managed to make all the fat on it hard as a rock and crunchy, yet still leave it raw… on refire. Even the button onion served with it was raw. Usually these are soft and spread akin to a butter. Not this one. Brussel sprouts are basic, mushrooms are disappointing, beef fat fries are good. Nearly every steak place in the city is better than this.
