The food was very good, but pricey and for the price, I prefer linen tablecloths and napkins. A slightly more upscale environment. But I will be back because the food and service was excellent …which is the most important parts of dining out.

We always enjoy our time at RARE Restaurant. I had the steak which was cooked perfectly and my wife had the Risotto but it didn't quite hit the level she is used from there. One small note would be that the outdoor entrance didn't look like it had been cleaned up for a few days and had garbage tossed on the steps and the door beside the entrance. It's not a great way to start your evening. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. All in all, a great night.

I reserved a table for Mother's Day, having never been to Rare. I was assured that the $59 per person would be worth it, as they were having a prime rib buffet, and above average food. Sadly, this was not the case. A roast beef is not prime rib, and they were clearly not set up well for a high-end buffet. And very importantly, if you're charging this much, you should NOT purchase your desserts at Costco (this was very apparent), cut them in half, and present it as quality pastries. Sourcing house-made pastries from a local bakery would be far more appropriate for this price point.

Had prime rib special with Rare salad, was excellent! Partner had striploin and caesar salad. Both meals were top notch, meat perfectly cooked, vegetables crisp, service was perfect! will definitely return

After booking then changing our reservation more then once they were amazing and were so accommodating. Our waitress was the best, we don’t get out much and she was so great. The food was so yummy; our waitress recommendations we great; Thank you. Definitely will come back to Peterborough and Rare will be where we will come back too.

This was our third visit to Rare. Absolutely delicious food with additional emphasis on presentation. Compliments to the chef. Beautiful ambience creating a warm and inviting dining experience. Service never disappoints and continues to be well above average.
