   They were clearly Busy. But waited over 10 mins initially to be seated. Headed more staff at front to take guests to tables while someone else fixed up bills. We waited over 30 mins to be asked if we would like a drink. Food took an hour and a half to arrive. Food was ok. Second drink we waited ages to be asked. Staff were nice just too busy I think. We felt like we were forgotten. Food was ok but over priced Nice atmosphere. We thought it would be a better experience tbh

   Amazing place to eat.. drink orders where slow it was hard to get waiter attention and can’t order in bar.

   I like everything about Rare bar and grill from the atmosphere, food and service. consistent quality every time. I have never had a bad experience when visiting this restaurant. Highly recommend.

   Great food and even better service! Staff are always friendly and gets all the other staff to come out to sing happy birthday with a cake and bubble gun. This is orr favourite place for a good steak and to celebrate birthdays, i've been 3 x in one month! Although the last 2 times we went with my girlfriends it was hot (temperature) that we were fanning ourselves. The second time, one of the girls even brought a hand fan. We were seated at the booth. Both times we told the staff about the issue. Hopefully the aircon works better next time.

   Food & venue is great! However service is very slow. Ordered a steak and round of drinks, and the steak arrived before the round of drinks..

   Wonderful dining experience, the BEST steak we have eaten in Mackay. My wife loved the corn ribs with miso butter. The only negative was the restaurant was a tad warm inside. We will be back again.

   Service from the waitress was very professional and apologised in regards to the wait for food.

   We had a terrible experience. No alcoholic wine available even though on the list The first two main meals took over an hour to come out, then took another ten minutes for the next (fish that was overcooked and cold and obviously had been sitting there for a while) then almost another ten minutes for the next My son is allergic to dairy and despite asking 3 times a burger came out full of cheese after an hour and 20min wait- they then said they cannot make the burger dairy free (seriously!??) so we left early and got him fast food No one was there to make a decision Terrible experience and never going back

    The food here is nice, but the service is very slow and food takes a long time to come out - well over an hour for a fairly empty restaurant.
