Great restaurant. Got the oyster sampler which was great. Would love it if they had horseradish as a condiment. Bread basket was disappointing. Grilled oysters were great as was the seasonal roasted root vegies. And kudos to the bartender - best Old Fashioned I’ve ever had
Went on a quiet Sunday night and sat at the bar. Happy hour prices on oysters(12 for $20-bargain!) Shucker, server and bartender all super nice. Wish I lived closer!
Everything was amazing. From the oysters to the wine, the food and the ambiance- great experience!
Always a favorite!
Our server Cheyenne was superb both professionally and personally. Knew the menu well, gave competent recommendations and was simply delightful. Everything on the menu is well prepared, top quality and delicious. Ambience is comfortable and attractive. One of Charleston’s gems.
Excellent restaurant with super service and delicious oysters and fresh seafood. The crab cakes were best I’ve ever had.
Great place overall. My only beef is that the ceviche was a really small serving, esp for 16 bucks.
Everything we ordered was very taste and we have come back to rappahannock several times. We would eat there more frequently if only they offered some green vegetable side or even mixed vegetable sides.
Sat and the bar and had very attentive bartenders. Started with the oysters (happy hour) and they were great! They make their own hot sauce and it was great on the oysters. I had the crab cake and it was very meaty. My husband had the scallops and enjoyed the flavors as well.
What a great place! The oysters are spectacular, the entrées are prepared in a very creative and appetizing way, the service was great and the prices are very reasonable for Charleston. Another thing that sets this restaurant apart is the fact that there is actually parking and it’s free. Not common here in Charleston! This is a perfect fit for us here who are already oyster – crazed. These are terrific oysters farmed in Virginia and have a wide variety of styles. Another great option is the happy hour which runs from 6 o’clock on at the bar on Sunday. What a great deal and nice place to meet new friends.
Wonderful oysters beautiful presentation great service
Citadel homecoming. Great oysters, fish dip, black grouper, amazing (and different) shrimp and grits, etc....
Awesome and knowledgeable server. Decanted our super Tuscan and we enjoyed.
Great house made ice cream with original flavors. My son said they get 1000 out of 100, and he’s good at math.
Food was not what I expected it to be! Service was very slow!
We felt welcomed and appreciated when we entered. And then our server was exceptional through—attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Grilled oysters, black garlic shrimp and grits, lambs and chops were superb.
Exceptional service! Delicious oyster varieties. A bit pricey for amount of food.
Best restaurant in Charleston. Top notch good and service
We enjoyed the fresh food served here and felt the interiors were pleasant and inviting.
The service was responsive and professional.
Great place for local seafood. Our waiter was knowledgeable and helpful. Nice vibe.
Cool place, nice bar tenders, good bar menu and happy hour specials.
Outstanding food and service!
Great food! Great ambiance! Great staff! The staff and chef were very accommodating with my food allergies! The potatoes bravas and octopus are a must!
My wife and I visited here on a recent trip to Charleston. The oysters were great, drinks were good, but the entree portions could have been bigger. The food was good, just could have been a better sized portion for the price.
Nice, but not outstanding.
Well done food, small portions for the price.
For 4 people one drink and one entree each the cost with tip was $168.
I think this is one of the best restaurants in Charleston. Located a little off the beaten path which makes it even more enticing. Oysters were very fresh and food was incredible overall.
Great experience all the way around. Grilled oysters are amazing!!!
Great food and service!
The place was a little too loud for my liking. Would suggest some noise dampers in the ceiling.
We had a lovely dinner at Rappahannock Oyster Bar. The raw oysters were delicious. We made during happy hour and appreciated the great prices for the oysters and the wine.
Our entrees were also very good and had great eye appeal. The octopus and wreckfish were perfectly prepared. Our server was cordial.
John was a great bartender and host. Our waiter was great and very knowledgeable. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcomed.
Oysters, crab cake and grilled whole fish were amazing. Our favorite seafood place in Charleston!
The menu was great, the drinks were great, and the service was on point. We had a group of 77 and our server stayed on top of us the entire night. Loved it all so much! We will be back for a round 2.
A college reunion for 11 girls and our experience could not have been better! Our waitress was amazing and very patient. The food was EXCELLENT and the drinks were great! Will be coming back!
I would have preferred a more central location but that’s what I get for waiting until the last minute. I thought the food was great and somewhat unique but let’s face it- they served us saltines with our fish dip. Entree portions were small; I’d recommend ordering multiple plates to try and share. Overall a good experience but a little over priced.
Always the freshest fish. Outstanding in all manners.
Excellent service and food. Delicious oysters and shrimp and grits. One of our favorite places to dine.
What a great place. Oysters were awesome. Kacey (sp?) was an amazing server. Food was fabulous. Great vibe. All around terrific.
Sit at the bar and let John take care of everything. Great service and food.
Nice ambiance, attentive service, and great food. Approximately half of their tables are high-tops, so if mobility is an issue, make sure to request a low table.
