The food was very good but it was too noisy and the service was not very good. The waiter was not very attentive and we needed water for a while. He should check in more often. Also I don’t like the music
Went for a friends birthday. The service was very slow and we had to keep asking for water and ordering food.
Thank you Andy S for your review.
We had reservation in the restaurant, but decided to sit in the bar area for happy hour prices. Servers were pleasant, but slow. Probably because there was on server for the entire bar area, which was full.
The food was good, not outstanding. The guacamole was a little plain, and had a little too much onion.
I would go for happy hour drinks and maybe appetizers, but not for dinner. There are better restaurants.
Thank you JimV for your review.
Rango’s never disappoints. Great food, a fun atmosphere and always terrific service.
Thank you DebraH for your five star review.
Nice menu choices
Good vegetarian options
Thank you for your review.
Food is really good happy hour is great but the services not that great.
thank you Jennyp for your review.
We were looking to try a new Mexican place in the Tysons area but won't be returning. While our service was friendly and attentive the food was just not to our liking. We did not like the quality of the meats they used in their queso or beef tacos. The atmosphere is outdated and frankly the overall experience not worth the price we paid when there are so many other options in the area.
Not Guapos! Waited quite some time for orders to be taken. One item on my plate was incorrect and instead of replacing the one item my whole plate was literally snatched away. I didn't have to wait long for my replacement but it was awkward sitting with nothing while everyone else is eating.
Very slow service. The food toke more than 30 minutes to arrive. The food was except and we will try again, with a smaller group next time.
Chris we do apologize for the slow service. We hope to see you again for a better experience.
What a great place, food, drinks and service are all great. Busy or not they are on top of their game. Wonderful.
Thank you for your five star review
Great food and service!
Thank you for your comment and five star review.
Food was great. Service was very slowed. Only saw 2 waiters
Thank you for your feedback Foodie302. We will try to work on our service.
Loved everything about it! The timely service, food, ambiance, and pricing.
I was very disappointed in the service we received on this particular night. We specifically came here for a friends birthday and I put it on the OpenTable reservation. When we arrived at Rango's the hostess asked my wife whose birthday it was and guess what, nothing happened. We only saw our waiter until our food arrived and then never again. I said something to one of the wait staff and they said they would take care of it, once again nothing. In hindsight I should have asked to speak to a manager but I didn't want to ruin a good evening. We will be back but not for a special occasion.
Very good food and excellent and friendly service!!
Thank you EllenMarie for your five star review.
We had a lovely dinner. The Shrimp Pablano and Shrimp Fajitas were spot on and very tasty.
Thank you JohnCHarles for your five star review. We are glad you liked the Pabloanos and the Shrimp Fajita. Hope to see you agian soon.
The food was excellent and the servers were friendly and accommodating. Cannot wait to return.
Thank you PattieG for your five star review. We can't wait to have you back. Hope to see you very soon and thank you once again.
We went here with a large group and they were very helpful. Multiple staff came by to make sure we were taken care of, the checks were all correct and the food was great. We will be back.
Thank you for your great review. We are glad you liked it.
we like the relaxed atmosphere and taquitos! The food is very good and fresh.
Thank you NaancyS for your review
What a great find, right here in Tyson’s Corner. Yes, there is a lot to choose from in the area but do yourself a favor and go to Rangos. We went for a quick bite and stayed for hours, dinner the drinks after at the bar. Service was great, food great, and just nice people. Father and Son operation, and they make you feel like family! Will be back soon....
Thank you for your five star review. We are glad you had a great experience.
Always a good time and good food. Highly recommend for a great meal.
The staff were great. The food was great. We were lucky enough to be there on a day when it was comfortable weather for sitting outside as it was SO LOUD inside that we would not have stayed. The restaurant seems have to been designed for loud happy hours and not for people to ear, drink, and conversation. We could barely hear the hostess when we arrived.
My wife’s 50th birthday with family. It was good - as expected. But the service was really slow, especially considering there were not a lot of people on there.
Rango's is worth the extra effort to get to, as the Tex-Mex food is almost as good as what you find in Texas. The restaurant is on the ground floor of an office building that is at a very busy intersection in Tysons Corner. Plenty of free parking is available in a lot in a building next to Rango's.
Now for the food - the chips are light and crunchy, not heavy and greasy. Yum! The basic salad is rather large, the lettuce is fresh, and the dressing is quite tasty. Enchiladas and tacos are suberb, filled with lots of meat and/or cheese. The only item I cannot recommend is the tamale, as it has WAAAAAYYY too much rather soggy cornmeal with not a lot of chicken. It's tough to find a good tamale in Northern Virginia! Otherwise, the food is excellent, and I highly recommend Rango's if you're looking for authentic Tex-Mex food.
Food was cold. Drinks were really bad. Service unprofessional...really bad, for a first time.
Got in east, nice staff and the food was great. Nice to eat at a place in Tyson’s that doesn’t break the bank!
The food was delicious! The service was great. We’re so glad we found this place. We will definitely be back.
Food was great (steak was perfectly done). Service was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Margarita and daiquiris were great. Big thumbs up!
So glad to have a decent Mexican restaurant in the area. Try the passion fruit margarita - you will not be disappointed!
Rangos is our new go-to Tex Mex restaurant. The food is consistently good, the portions are generous, the waitstaff professional and attentive and the numerous margarita options are all excellent. If there’s a problem, it’s addressed quickly and with a smile. If anything were to be classified as a unexpected, it might be the cheese nachos. They were delicious, but a far smaller portion than what you might traditionally expect. Not a problem for us, since it was enough with no food wasted. I’m not sure it would work for a full table to share.
Unfortunately the food made us both ill after getting home for the night. We didn't like how we felt after eating. Nice place, good people, good service. Just hard to go back to a place that made us sick.
Wonderful family friendly neighborhood restaurant. We can’t wait to go back!
We had a good time. Food was good service was good. Worth going again for sure!
This was our first visit. We were impressed with the menu selection. Enjoyed seafood enchiladas and tacos. The wait staff is super friendly and efficient. We will definitely visit again.
Food was cold, hard shell taco was soggy, not much taste to the food. Queso was cold and hard.
Enjoyed the chips and salsa as well as steak tacos and steak/chicken combo fajitas. Very tasty. Steak for fajitas was not medium rare as ordered, but still tasty. Loved their version of happy birthday sung to customers at another table.
Great place. You pay for what you get. Just the right price.
Excellent customer service and food. Would definitely go back again and recommend to family and friends.
The food was good! The place is spacious and not noisy.
I went to Rango's for a pre-Wolf Trap dinner. I picked it because of the customer photos on several review sites. I don't usually take photos of my food but when the fajitas with bubbling butter came out, I took photos AND video. Food was perfectly seasoned and plentiful. The staff is very attentive without being obtrusive.
The place was fairly empty when we arrived but filled up quickly with families. The staff seemed genuinely interested in their young customers. I'm sure that keeps the parents coming back. I be back soon to try their lunch buffet.
The restaurant is a big room with tables and chairs. No booths and no decor that sticks out in my mind. However, since I don't eat ambiance, I can live with it. The food was great.
