On our second visit, we ordered onion fritters, lemongrass pork meatballs & garlic noodles with shrimp. We found the dishes somewhat less flavorful than on our first visit. Coconut tapioca dessert was refreshing.

One of the most interesting and delicious Burmese dishes is tea leaf salad. Rangoon does not do a good tea leaf salad, it’s more of a flavorless salad with not enough fermented tea leaves and no dried shrimps. The disco fries were good.

It was a quiet Thursday lunch. Service was perfect -- attentive, friendly, kind, unrushed. Beautiful venue, with lovely garden where I hope to dine on a warmer day. Delicious food, beautifully arranged in the bowl and on the plate, lunch special was right-priced -- very affordable in these inflationary times. A real find.

Overall very good food! We had the lemon grass pork meat balls, the lamb curry and garlic noodles and then the magnificent gelatin dessert. The drinks were very tasty and well made. Would go back again!

Lovely place. Have taken a strong liking to Burmese food. I do wish they leaned MORE into Burma … it seems like an afterthought in respect to the ambiance … which could really be played forward if given a little thought. The courtyard is great, but the chairs were plastic and very uncomfortable. Very. My $25 noodle dish was very sparse. I added frid chicken and there were 4 tiny pieces cut up … and thought that was a little wack - very small portion but the tea leaf salad with pork was a nice portion. They had sake … which doesn’t seem Burmese at all. Not sure why they are leaning into other cultures when Burma has a lot to offer. So - all in all - a lovely place with a lot of room for growth.

We had a wonderful early dinner on the patio at Rangoon. The food and server were exceptional. The flavors were fresh and delicious with a lovely little wine menu and a large selection of yummy mocktails. I'm very happy to have a spot for Burmese cuisine in the city!

Try the tamarind noodles….spicy and delicious. Much of the food is super spicy so beware. We sat in the garden area. Very quiet and pleasant.

I thought the food was delicious! Shared the pork meatball skewers and had the cinnamon chicken curry. Both dishes were very flavorful, and the portions were perfect. I know some people have complained that the portions are small, but I suppose if you’re accustomed to enough food for three people, you might think so. The service was friendly and attentive. It was a bit warm, but not unbearably so. That would be my only negative.

The restaurant has no AC and it was over 95 degrees inside. When you consider we were paying over $70 per person it’s just nuts that they were unwilling to turn on the AC.
