   I wanted to try Yangon taste as soon as I saw it on the list of Burmese restaurants in New York. It was also listed High on timeout. The ambiance is nice and calm. But, the food was just ok. The mango salad was good but the fritters were soggy. The drinks are good but the noodle was very bland. Being a Burmese person, I can definitely say that the food could be better. And, there was another disappointment. After we finished eating, while we were waiting to get our credit cards back, someone from the restaurant came and told us that we have to leave in 15 min even though we were just waiting for them to give us our cards back. He was unapologetic even though he found out that we were just waiting for our cards. Even without this disappointment, won’t be going back because the food is not that good.

   I haven’t had a dish I didn’t love here. Everything is so delicious. Definitely try the onion fritters, tea leaf salad and the garlic noodles!

   Excellent restaurant in a quaint location of Bushwick. Would visit again for sure - just take note there is outdoor seating in the back. We were unaware that there was outdoor seating behind the restaurant and had assumed it was only street side. Had we known, we would've definitely had a table outside in the back and not inside.

    More of a 2.5, but I'm rounding down, due to this restaurant failing to meet expectations. We came here on a Sunday night and we were sat outside in the backyard. The quaint outdoor seating was nicely decorated. The area was well-lit by strings of light bulbs on the walls. It was relatively busy, and all the backyard seats were filled during the duration of our meal. We were hoping to be blown away by delicious and unique food, but Rangoon failed to deliver. We've never had Burmese food before, but after eating here, we aren't impressed. Or maybe we ordered the wrong things, but with such a small menu, I expected them to at least nail 90% of it, but they didn't. We only enjoyed the onion fritters and the dessert. After our meal, we were all still hungry. But the waiting time for the food to be served was 30-40 minutes, so we didn't ask for more entrees. Portions were all small and prices were high for what we received. The service was alright, but slow and not the most attentive. We had to wait for a good while before we could spot a server to wave over. The food left unsightly yellow stains on the white plastic tables which were not conducive to our appetites. The staff didn't take initiative to clean the tables as we waited for the next round of food or change the plates, or add water, and had to be asked to. I'm a bit concerned about the way things are carried to and from the back area, because I heard utensils dropping on more than one occasion during our meal. Ultimately, Rangoon was a huge disappointment for people who wished to try Burmese cuisine for the first time, as nearly everything we've had was lacking in flavor. I highly doubt we will be coming back, unless there's a massive overhaul of some sort.

    OMG. This place is fabulous. The food was outstanding. Service superb. What’s not to like! We ordered an assortment of things from the curry, small plate, and noodle listings. Small plate choices: onion fritters, pork shoulder slaw. And the winner: pork slaw. Curry choices: fish cake curry, pumpkin curry, pork curry And the winners in order: pork curry, pumpkin, fish cake (this was a tough choice as all 3 were spectacular) Noodles: garlic noodles. Side: cabbage and sausage Everything was so delicious and differently flavored. We were all concerned that things would taste the same, but not at all. Spice level was quite low, that may be how Burmese food is spiced, but judging from the surrounding cuisines, I think they tamed things for American palates. Run, don’t walk to this cozy, delicious place with great food and cocktails! Skip dessert

    Fresh and unique flavors. Excellent service. Food came out quickly. Staff was extremely helpful in describing dishes and making recommendations. I would highly recommend dining here if you are in the area.

    Went here on a date night and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, and the service was fast, friendly, and inviting. We each cleaned our plates entirely. Their cocktail and beer list were also wonderful. I can't wait to go back!

    Atmosphere and service was great! Food was way too extreme in taste. Out of six dishes one one was ok. one dish (shrimp papaya salad) was too sour, my garlic noodles was too salty like it had a heavy hand pour of soy sauce… I’m not sure if that is Burmese food but as a Korean, I may just be weak and I’ll take my loss. Really wanted to like the place but now regretting my choice to be adventurous. Night was made up by going to Look by plant love house down the avenue to pickup some Thai desserts.

    We waited nearly 40 minutes after our reservation time. Our appetizers were bland, seemingly missing ingredients. Our comments were met dismissively— the servers seemed uninterested in our unpleasant experience. We will not return.

    The food tasted like OK thai food in like, Belzoni Mississippi. It was not what one expects in Brooklyn. Surprisingly bland. The braised pork was good though.

    I went there and waited for 1 hour until the food is ready. The food taste ok but not worth the price. Waiters are nice. But wait time for the food is ridiculous.

    So sorry you had a bad experience with us. We were shorthanded in the kitchen that night. I was literally doing the dishes myself and I'm the General Manager. It's no excuse, I know, but I just want to communicate that this is not how coming here normally is. I know that night I literally comped the entire check for 2 table towards the end of the night because the food took a ridiculous amount of time to arrive and wasn't quite what it should be anyway.     If you want interesting and tasty food, try Rangoon Burmese. The tea leaf salad is amazing, and if you like spicy, ask for them to spice it up. Glass noodle pork was good but meat was fatty. That's the only critique.

    Wait staff was knowledgable and great service. Food is delicious. Space is lovely. Our only regret was that it was too cold to sit outside! Covid protocols were properly in place.

    The food was really bad. I had been to Rangoon before a few months ago and the food was really good. So I went again with my family and it was really bad. Everything was wrong. It was tasteless and my coconut chicken noodles came with no Chicken. When I asked about it they apologized and brought the chicken separately. It didn’t really help make it better though. It was still tasteless.

    Terrific food and the outdoor seating area in back is spacious and quiet. The chairs were a bit uncomfortable, and the pacing of the service wasn't ideal, but they might have been short staffed due to COVID. We still enjoyed our meal. The onion fritters, chicken curry and side of cucumber salad were the highlights.
