   Staff was very kind and the space is lovely (minus a few broken bar stools at the high tops). There needs to be more consistency with the quality of dishes that are put out. Tea leaf salad and prawn curry were stellar and unique, but the tamarind veggie curry and coconut chicken noodle soup were lacking in flavor and presentation.

   I am vegetarian so my options were limited! First time with Burmese food as well - not as tasty as I expected and very expensive for what you are served. Everything we ordered was just average, onion fritters were cold, veggie curry very average taste, coconut pastry thing not that delicious. You wouldn’t miss out if you skipped this place.

   The ambiance was lunch or very casual bite, not nice dinner out. Just dimming the lights a little would go a long way. The paratha and tea leaf salad were delicious. the keema curry was tasty but dry, while the lemongrass fish soup was a little stodgy and needed quite a bit of the lime, fish sauce, and chili flakes to make it interesting.

   Ordered the onion fritters, tea leaf salad, and spicy mee shay noodles. Fritters: good but burned, nothing earth shattering Tea leaf salad: very yummy and unique, must get Spicy mee shay noodles: forgettable. Swimming in oil. But a huge portion of noodles, if that's what you're looking for. I can see this being a good hangover cure. I ordered with pork, and was SHOCKED at the small amount i got for $4 Service: slooow. Seemed like the servers were new/nervous but nice and trying their best. Probably needed better training?

   Not sure if we came on an off night. Food was bland and the noodles in my soup soggy, fried chicken app was not very well cooked. Drinks and service were great though. Overall not bad but overpriced for what you get.

    Sorry to say I was generally disappointed. Our appetizers- shrimp skewers and fried chicken- were yummy and I enjoyed the pickled veg and sauce. But that's where it ends. Our entrees were nothing to write home about...spicy mee shay noodles had zero spice, zero texture, and pretty one note...a bowl of black bean sauce and small quantities of texture-less pork. The end! My boyfriend's tea leaf pork was tasty, but again no spice, no excitement, meh? Overall the lack of flavor and small portions definitely do no justify the overpriced entrees (which were higher priced than what's listed on the menu). Prices are good if you actually enjoy your food. Sadly, I've had much better food from a street vendor at half the price and twice the taste. Maybe I'll try Happy Hour because I liked my Apps, but definitely not dinner. Save your coins!

    I picked this restaurant as it was named one of the best places to eat in NY. On arrival we were greeted with a smile and shown to our table. We were provided with water and drinks orders were taken. The menu is fantastic and the food was unbelievable. There were other groups eating and talking creating a nice ambiance but not noisy. I was surprised how cheap the bill was for the quality of the food. This was easily the best meal of my whole NYC holiday. Cannot recommend this enough.

    Solid food, especially the noodle soups. Was anticipating coming here to test whether the food brought back childhood memories of Burmese cuisine. It passed the test. I received a coupon for a percentage off entrees and I'd surely come back again

    Took a friend here who was visiting out of town. Food and ambiance was fine. Service definitely questionable as we had 2 servers stop by to “check in” on us throughout our meal and interrupt the conversation. Really just felt like a tactic to get us out of there faster even though the restaurant was mostly empty? I wouldn’t say our stay was longer than typical patrons, so very confusing. Disappointed to put my guest through a rushed meal.

    I wanted to try Yangon taste as soon as I saw it on the list of Burmese restaurants in New York. It was also listed High on timeout. The ambiance is nice and calm. But, the food was just ok. The mango salad was good but the fritters were soggy. The drinks are good but the noodle was very bland. Being a Burmese person, I can definitely say that the food could be better. And, there was another disappointment. After we finished eating, while we were waiting to get our credit cards back, someone from the restaurant came and told us that we have to leave in 15 min even though we were just waiting for them to give us our cards back. He was unapologetic even though he found out that we were just waiting for our cards. Even without this disappointment, won’t be going back because the food is not that good.

    Excellent restaurant in a quaint location of Bushwick. Would visit again for sure - just take note there is outdoor seating in the back. We were unaware that there was outdoor seating behind the restaurant and had assumed it was only street side. Had we known, we would've definitely had a table outside in the back and not inside.
