Range Kitchen & Tap
I had the hen house pizza which I was only able to eat a small portion of because the charcuterie platter and fried green tomatoes were so damn delicious I had already gorged myself by the time the main course arrived. If I had one criticism, it would simply be a suggestion to step up the liquor license to include a full bar. The range of flavors on this menu deserve some good pairings with whiskey gin and vodka. The Allagash on tap is fantastic, but pales in comparison to the warmth and comfort of this menu. Otherwise, it was a top-notch experience and we will certainly return - hopefully to enjoy a dirty martini or three.
Food was good but a tad overpriced for the quality of the food. Had the pizza was decent and meatloaf had entirely to much gravy on it thats all you could taste.
I wouldn't call the noise 'energetic', I would call it 'too loud'. Seriously too loud, couldn't hear the conversation from our table unless we were practically shouting. the restaurant should add some sound proof panels to help with this issue. While we all loved our everything else, this alone will keep me from returning.
The place is just great. Food and atmosphere are incredible. The owner is such a fantastic guy. We go here as much as we can
50 minutes until we received any food after ordering. When food finally started coming out it took more than 5 minutes for all of us to get our food. By then the scallops, served first, were cold. Poor beer selection for a place marketed as a tap room. Kids pizzas were 2 different sizes and think my kids coulda made ones that tasted better.
Owner was walking around checking on tables. Except ours. Hostess apologized as we left, “kitchen got backed up”. Would hate to see it when it’s busy.
We will not return. Managed to make a special occasion not as special as it could have been.
Great food and service. The open floor plan was a little loud with two tables of girls night gals in the bar area. Otherwise a lovely dinner. Would recommend and go again.
Food was delicious and staff very attentive. However, it's not a quiet place.
Honestly the best eatery experience in some time. My husband and I were really just looking to try a non/chain restaurant with good food. Our internet search led us here and I could not be more pleased that Range Kitchen & Tap is in Roseville!!
Our service was perfect, the food amazing... wine, wonderful... seriously I the downside is I burned the roof of my mouth with the very hot artichoke dip.. hah
I can’t wAit to go back!
Great food, fresh and a great take on modern comfort food. Appropriately priced and thought the atmosphere and decor was well suited.
Delicious food, attentive server, nice decor, just a bit noisy for conversation with people at your table.
Our experience was good overall. Out of three entrees however, Two proteins were over cooked and one was cold.
Delicious food and beautiful decor. We (2 adults and 2 kids) really enjoyed our meals! Can't wait to check out lunch and happy hour!
Four of us had two beers each, one appetizer to split, and a main course - bill was around $160. It's very noisy. The food is somewhat run of the mill - fried chicken, meatloaf, pizzas. The only really remarkable thing was the homemade pasta that my husband had.
Great food and service! Well decorated! It was pretty noisy, however, and it was actually pretty hot where we ended up sitting. Overall a great experience!
We ordered the wild game and it was a bison steak. If had it before in other restaurants. It was VERY tough. However the manager made good by bringing out a substitute steak (beef with peppercorn sauce) and it was very good. She also removed the $30 for the bison and didn’t charge me for the beef. We paid it forward and gave our server a $20 tip on a $58 bill. She was excellent!
Food is great! If they want to close by a certain time then they really shouldn’t book 8:30pm reservations. My family is visiting from NY and we were rushed through our dinner. It wasn’t the most pleasant experience.
Great gem in Roseville! Glad we don’t need to drive to Sacramento for a night out!
Fortunate to be seated in the back room where there was minimal noise.
Friendly and helpful wait staff.
Loved the heirloom tomato salad. Will definitely go back.
The Range has delicious food and excellent service. Lots of delicious seasonal salads and pizzas. I’ve never had a bad meal at The Range. The owner Kevin always greats everyone and makes you feel at home. I highly recommend The Range.
Great family restaurant. Appetizers and entrees would great. Service was awesome
It was our 34th Anniversary, indicated on the reservation, and a little disappointed no acknowledgment via a drink or dessert was given
But our server, Brandon, was awesome.
We have been here a few times in the last year, having recently moved to the area. The service has always been top notch, and we were lucky to be there for 1/2 price wine night! It's so hard to choose between the comfort food, pizzas, and game meat special (always get the game meat special). A Roseville gem :)
Place is going down
It was a great experience. We enjoyed the food, drinks and the service was great!
Our favorite local restaurant! Great food, friendly staff and the owner is wonderful. He has remembered us from day one, making it our favorite place to dine. We are always greeted like family, which is a great feeling when you are regulars at an establishment.
Wonderful food. Service is outstanding and so well coordinated. You will feel welcome from the moment you enter. Great place to share plates. Very nice craft beer selections.
Great food and fun menu choices. I had the Meatloaf and friends had the Burger and Ribeye - all delicious. Waitress was friendly and attentive but needed a bit of training serving wine. I like that Owner is always welcoming and working the floor. We will be back.
Attentive and friendly service-great tasing food (cook even came out to see how things were for us). Good place for groups - because of a larger party size (7 adults) we had made reservations for dinner.
We were celebrating my birthday. It was our first time at the restaurant and we enjoyed it. The food was good and the ambiance was pleasant. It helped my make my birthday a memorable experience.
Loved the food and the service. It is a bit pricey but worth it for the great food. The only negative was the noise, there was a large group in the back area of the restaurant and with the barn doors being open and the restaurant being small it was difficult to carry on a conversation.
In a town with chain restaurants all over, we love to find a local hidden gem...and this is one of them! Really good fresh food. It would be a perfect spot if they had a dirty martini with blue cheese olives to go with the ambiance, delicious food and fun vibe. They do have a good wine and beer selection though. Highly recommend!
We liked nearly everything about Range Kitchen. Excellent food with friendly service. They should do well on those two components. My only gripe is with the wine selections. There are no 'bad' wines on the list. However, they don't really match the space. It looks like a nice neighborhood spot with good comfort food but with the cheapest wine selections being $40+ I just don't see that they're able to sell very many bottles of wine. Bring in some less expensive (but quality) wines like Bogle or Kendall Jackson with prices in the $20s and people will order more bottles of wine and not be overwhelmed by the $40+ prices that they have now.
That being said, it is a very nice neighborhood restaurant that I will visit again but I'll bring my own bottle.
This has become our go-to place for dates, meetings, lunch or dinner! Staff is always welcoming, menu is fun and fresh, quality and taste are superior! See you next week!
First time, and we were celebrating a couple of anniversaries. We loved it, and definitely will be back again. And yes I’ve already
mentioned it to friends. My daughters in law also mentioned it is one of her favorite too. Our server Spenser was get, and also got to meet Keith, which I think is the owner too...
Food was fresh, local, and tasty. A meal sized quinoa salad and pasta with squash in a light white wine and garlic sauce. A good lunch spot for an upgrade from fast or fast casual. Friendly service always helps too.
It’s just OK—not great, not terrible. I think there’s enough choices in the area so no need to come back here for mediocre food and service. Atmosphere is nice but they need to serve liquor to appeal to this area and get people to come in. I would more likely go back if they had a bar with cocktails and/or happy hour.
It was great :)
Great service, delicious food.
We love coming to this restaurant. The service is always on point and the food is delicious.
We went for a date because we live the decor and comfort of the restaurant, great menu selections and it is always delicious! We will e back!
