    We were excited to try out Ramsey's Kitchen so we went for Father's Day! I'd have to agree with most of the reviews for the price point my expectations were higher and it was mediocre. Our appetizers and dinner came out quick, our entrees took a little while longer and food was warm not hot. Menu options were good. Our server Jeremiah was great!

    Huge disappointment! Never again! Food: Steak was dry and only warm - not hot. Filet was tough and chewy - not tender. For $68 per steak, we expected a tender juicy steak cooked to order. Roasted Tomatoe that came with steak was cold like it came right out of the refrigerator. We asked for Bearnaise sauce on the side and it came right out of the refrigerator - not even warm. Broccolini was partially warm and partially cold. Truffle potato gratin was undercooked. We asked our waiter if he could bring some bread or rolls with butter to start our meal. He cringed and said they don't have anything like that, but could order Parker Rolls for $12 that could serve a family of 6 or 12. With only 2 of us, we declined. Ordered two $45 glasses of Heist Cabernet. Instead of getting 2 glasses of wine, manager came with a wine preservation system that slowly extracted uncorked wine directly into our glasses. He began to splash wine on the table and said he couldn't see well. We requested he pour it elsewhere so be put the flask on the edge of the booth next my wife's shoulder. We demanded he pour it elsewhere. Took him 10 minutes to extract 2 glasses of wine. Service: waiter was inattentive. Steak came and sat as we tried to track down our waiter to bring us steak knives. We requested that the kitchen separate our Wedge salad into two for us. Our waiter frowned and said they don't like to do that in the kitchen. We requested he ask and they did, but the lettuce was wilted and room temperature instead of cold and crispy. Whenever we needed anything, we had to track down our waiter - he never came to the table to see if we needed anything. Noise: in an upscale dining environment we expected appropriate dinner music softly playing in the background- instead, there was loud "club music" playing throughout our meal, making it difficult to talk to each other. Chef Ramsay would be furious if he had this experience in his own restaurant.

    We live in a small town so this was our first good opportunity to visit one of Gordon’s restaurants. We both had the Beef Wellington and a glass of wine and we both loved the dish, our first time with Wellington as well. The room was beautiful, the food was fantastic and the service was exactly what we expected it would be, superb. Thanks everyone for a wonderful evening as Flo and I celebrated our wedding anniversary. We couldn’t have picked a better place to dine.     We just spent my birthday at the Mandarin Spa followed by dinner at Ramsey's Kitchen. I was a bit worried about our reservation given the mixed reviews online but since I am a fan of his recipes decided to make my own evaluation and so so happy I did!! This was one of the best dinner experiences we have had in Boston. The food was superb. My daughters split the Beef Wellington, I had the crispy salmon (divine) and my husband the amazing Branzino. Appetizers were very special (oysters briny and full of flavor from Canada) and Wedge salad with a great dressing. Dessert was perfect (caramel creation and Pot au creme). Nothing negative to report. Service was impeccable and ambiance vibrant and creative. Yes, it is pricey but worth every penny. Thank you for an amazing end to my bday extravaganza. We will be back.

    The food was exceptional all around. The beef wellington is a must. It's really surprising we didn't get a steak knife or anything for the Wellington and had to saw through it with a fairly dull knife. Service was average to poor. Server spilled water all over my menu and didn't notice. It took them 15-20 minutes to finally take our order and when we ordered drinks they arrived with the food 20-30 minutes later. I ordered a cocktail but was still left with an empty wine glass taking up space on the table. I'm really disappointed with the general service but would return for the food. I think the food is on the pricier side for what it is but you're also paying for a restaurant in the city.

    Very average food and service. took forever to get a drink, food was mediocre. The place was 3/4 empty for a reason. Save your money and go to a good restaurant.

    The Beef Wellington was superb! The sticky toffee pudding was also excellent. Highly recommend both

    Food was great. Service was good but not awesome for how much it cost (it was little things - like just opening $9 bottle of water after someone had already poured tap in our glasses, not checking in regularly, too soft spoken, not that knowledgeable on the menu, slow on alcohol drinks, etc. Nothing earth shattering but again - for the price….). It was a $450 dinner for 1 adult and 2 teenage girls. My daughter hated the lighting - it was too in between and have her a headache. Parker rolls, steak tartare, and oysters were our favorite! I had the beef Wellington - I felt the pastry wasn’t cooked all the way through correctly and I thought there’d be prosciutto in it. Nonetheless it was really good and the potato puree was delicious. One of my girls had the salmon and she loved the green curry sauce with it and said it was cooked perfect. My other one had the filet - she declared it her 2nd fav ever. We also did Gordan’s mom’s date cake with toffee sauce - yeah it was awesome. Overall great, glad we went. Not sure we’d 100% go back

    We have eaten at Ramsey Kitchen a few times. This time it was disappointing, we ordered and were surprised that the food came out immediate, making it clear the food was all pre-cooked as Beef Wellington can’t be cooked in 15 minutes….and the dishes were below average and extremely expensive at $74.00 a dish. Plate was cold so the potato and vegetables were cold after our first bit. We will not be returning for dinner as their are so many options in the Back Bay for dinner.
