We love Ramiro's. The food is fresh and tasty. Being able to go to a restaurant with multiple choices that are gluten-free is great. The fact that the multiple choices on the menu all sound tasty- is even better. The tuna ceviche' appetizer is absolutely delicious. we also enjoyed the calamari salad. we were there on valentine's day and it was really busy. The team approach for serving works, we were well cared for and totally enjoyed the evening. We will be back
We made a reservation and had to wait 30 minutes for a table. When we were seated we had to wait 20 minutes for a drink order. When our drinks arrived, they made the wrong drinks. When our appetizers and soup arrived, my mom had to wait another 15 minutes because they forgot her soup. When our entrees arrived, they gave me a dish I never ordered and had to wait another 15 minutes. Three of us ordered the Valentine day set menu for $55 which included a drink. When the bill arrived we were charged for the three drinks because the free drink was Sangria but the waitress never told us that. We had also ordered a $32 bottle of Chard and that was taken off the bill for the issues we encountered. The staff was clearly overwhelmed due to A full house on Valentine’s Day. Management should have had sufficient staff on hand to serve everyone without issues. I will come back when it’s not busy because the food is outstanding and the service is normally good.
Upon arrival told no reservation even with Open Table confirmation. Seated and told "we work as team". Not sure why. Noise level was incredible. Can't talk, wait staff even commented. Food was average for menu price. Service was horrible as the team simply failed. Twenty minute wait for coffee although wait staff was simply standing around. It was clear the restaurant does not care for their clients. No ask if everything is ok. The individual who took our order was not the person who served it and never checked to see if anything was needed. Ordered coffee with my meal. Took 15 minutes for it to arrive. Requested coffee refill at end of meal and it took even longer. In summary, the worst restaurant experience I have had in the last two or three years. I would caution anyone to give serious thought before going here. There are NO redeeming qualities. The "team" does not work because they do not care and are clearly not trained well.
Always a wonderful evening
Ramiro's is one of our "go-to" places for special occasions. We decided to have soup and tapas and the meal did not disappoint. The food was very tasty and is always interesting. The sangria is also excellent. Service is also excellent.
The tacos and the margaritas are excellent. They were quite busy and unfortunately appeared to be understaffed, but to their credit, with lots of hustle, the servers and the especially hardworking owner/hostess did everything they could to pick up the slack. Drinks and food took some time to get to the table, but fortunately, it was an excellent meal and worth the wait time. Can't wait to go back!
Been there many times. One of our favorite local places.
Great night at Ramiro's. Jan goes above and beyond for her customers. Food delicious and Sangria even better.
We went for Restaurant Week. Scrumptious appetizer. Good main courses-pork shank & ropa vieja. Dessert: flourless chocolate cake was just OK. We have been to Ramiro's before & it never disappoints.
Been to Ramiro’s 954 several times prior to this occasion, loving every morsel each time. Was shocked to find so many friends at work hadn’t even heard of the place. I felt it imperative to share this wonderful cuisine, and so, it being Restaurant Week (2 weeks, that is), on two occasions I went with some of the gang. Not a disappointment to be had! Not only did we enjoy both food and cocktails, the staff went above and beyond to make our experience pure pleasure. Owner, Jan Jimenez, is warm, friendly, vivacious- yes, I could go on. A great time. BTW, the filet mignon is crazy amazing!
Run, don’t walk!
As always, a wonderful meal. The slight criticism would be that it took a long time for drinks to be served and were not asked if we wanted coffee with our dessert. Yes we could have just asked for coffee or the menu for after dinner drinks. That being said, we would not hesitate to return as the food is outstanding.
Fine Dining in every aspect! Delicious food; friendly staff! Worth the trip!
So delicious !! The food is always soooo yummy
Food was OK. Service average. Noise level unterrible.
In a town that seems to have an Italian restaurant or pizza place every quarter of a mile, Ramiro's stands out for not only being different but having truly fine food. We have eaten there many, many times and repeatedly return, knowing that we will always leave happy and glad we came. Ownership is hands on and seemingly always present, ready to great us with a smile. Highly recommended!
We are regulars at Ramiro's; I have shared reviews in the past. For some intangible reason, the vibe was not as spectacular as we have found it to be previously. The new menu was a disappointment.
We brought our new neighbors to show off one of our favorite restaurants and they were underwhelmed.
We've recently found the "vibe" more resilient at Bacio in Cross River and the Clock Tower Grille in Brewster.
We love the owners at Ramiro's, and are routing for them to restore the polish.
My hubby loved the Peril. Says it's the best dish on the menu. I had the chicken w mole sauce. It was very good but chicken a little over done & dry. Appetizers we had guacamole & chips. Guacamole was very cold I guess they make it ahead of time now. Use to be they made it right @ your table. I like it fresh & made table side. Also shared the soup corn soup w/my hubby very good. Overall good dining experience.
This place is great. Get the havernator!!! Have never had a bad experience here
We enjoyed our meal, as always, but it was really very noisy.
Food was great as always. Service was slow because it was busy. Waited 50 minutes for dinner to come out. We will return because we like it.
Food was great
Menu exceptIonal. Service very good.
We come regularly because the food is great.
Great food and drinks and attentive , friendly service.
Great service and amazing drinks as always! Never had a bad meal or time here
Terrific food. Sat night noise level. A bit unorganized but the quality of the food helped migate the downside.
Each of the four of us loved our total experience. Good service, great food! Crevice, short ribs, grilled oysters, pork, salmon and lobster tail were all enthusiastically consumed!
As usual, the food was yummy. We tried a variety of appetizers (the empanadas are what dreams are made of) and some other specialties. Obviously, kind of full by the time dinner arrived so most of it was packed to go - though those who ordered the steaks devoured them all! It's a great place for good cocktails, good food and the management is always welcoming and generous (took my husband's drinks off the bill since his paella did not arrive in a timely fashion). We will return again and again and look forward to the next time!
Ramiros is one of our favorite restaurants. The food there is really delicious and the appetizers are top notch with a great variety. They have a nice selection of bar drinks which are made perfectly. The staff is very efficient and friendly. Recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
I chose Ramiro's for my Open Table gift certificate & we were not disappointed. It has many dishes on the menu with a Latin vibe. The guacamole we shared was quite good. My husband liked his Cuban "ropa vieja" so much there was barely a grain of rice on the plate. My paella (though they don't call it that" was loaded with chorizo, scallops, huge shrimp plus shellfish. The leftovers were my dinner the following night. Service was really good. We would certainly go back there.
This place is outstanding. It is the best Latin food possibly in the greater NYC area. When I got there, I thought I had the wrong place because the reviews said it was packed and loud, but it was empty for an early Sunday lunch and so delicious. We had appetizers, e.g. guacamole (tasty, rich and delicious homemade chips), arepas, patanos rejenos, tacos pescados and tacos dorados, the most extraordinary sopa de carmarones and a fabulous pastel de queso. Everything was delicious including the margaritas and sangria. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Was pleasantly surprised by Ramiro's and look forward to returning. The service was attentive and we weren't being rushed at all. The food was delicious, fresh and inventive. I look forward to bringing family and friends to enjoy it!
Very nice and friendly owner Jan!
The food at this comfortable little restaurant is excellent. The menu choices are varied and interesting, and the staff are very accommodating with special requests. My only fairly minor complaint is that, on both occasions that I have been here--once for a date night and once with my whole family--we had to wait fairly long for our food. I would say on balance, however, the quality of the meal more than made up for the wait!
Our waiter was on the shy side however Worked hard to accommodate us… The owner is always very friendly and she came over to say hello which provides a warm atmosphere. We only had appetizers and drinks but both Were delicious
Always a wonderful dining experience. Food and service is wonderful.
I would go back again, and again
The service was very attentive and profesional. The apps and entrees were delicious. The choc. Lava cake was excellent, however, the smaller than golf ball size portion of ice cream scoops at $6 was disappointing. We did not want to make an issue of it after a pleasant dining experience.
Will return again, but, an ice cream desert will not be an option.
Great food, great service. We will be back. Lots of choices on the menu.
tasteless food and so so service. Rice in the paella was one big mush, ckicken pieces looked and tasted like they were boiled, had to ask for hot sauce to give it some flavor..Same with churros no taste at all and the margherita were a big glass of ice.
We love Ramiro's. The food is always wonderful. I am gluten free and their gluten free options are extensive. The staff is wonderful and the owners really care about your experience.
Food and service was great.
