Decent meal. We both had the Spicy lobster ramen & it was good but nothing to ring home about. Very short staffed & slow on business. Lobster was tough but everything was seasoned well. 3 of 5 stars..
The atmosphere, food and location were great. However the service was incredibly slow the night we were there. Unfortunate because there weren’t many tables seated. But great ramen!
Had a great time! Food was amazing!
The burger was delicious but didn't really like the lobster ramen. Little overpriced in my opinion, but hey its Miami.
Slow and inattentive service on a quiet night. Lobster and chicken were dry and overcooked. $40+ for 2 ramen was not worth it here.
Completely understaffed this evening, the poor waiter did his best but couldn’t make up for the utter fail in the kitchen. I’ve dined here many times before and never had such a bad experience. The main courses came before the appetizer and the burger and ramen were room temperature at best. The burger I asked for medium rare was well done and the egg in the ramen was cold and there was way too much ginger in it. I had to get up and look for then ask for a spoon and when the Cuban spring rolls arrived I believe they were just store bought egg rolls, nothing Cuban about them. And when I asked for chili oil no one had any clue what I was talking about. Not only were my husband and I disappointed but I also heard complaints from neighboring tables, one did not even get drinks until they were almost finished with their meal. It’s really sad to see a place that I have very much enjoyed and recommended in such a poor state. Management needs to make some drastic changes or I don’t see it lasting too much longer.
I made a reservation, but find we didn’t need one as we got there right when it opened. Though, I’m a little disappointed because I wrote that it was for a birthday dinner....the waiter was great and the food came out within 10 min (couldn’t believe it). We ordered the Pork Tonkotsku ramen and while my partner loved it, I found it to be oily (layer of oil sitting at the top). If this is how it’s traditionally made, please excuse me. Just wanted to mention that just in case. Otherwise, the vibe is just great for anyone who is into Japanese culture: the neon signs, the artwork on the walls, anime playing in the background. Just very chill vibe.
So bad Reservation. My table was full. I will never use open table
It was my birthday and it was one for the books. The people at the restaurant were super nice and they treated me like royalty. I love the place. The people and the food. It a win win for everyone that goes there.
This place used to be my favorite Casual spot in South Beach. But that is when this place was called "K Ramen." The place has clearly gone to new management, hence the name, menu change, recipe changes, etc. It really is not the same place it used to be. I don't think I will be coming back to this place or recommending anyone to go here. The food was pretty awful which is a shame, it used to be amazing! SOBE loses another good spot!
Great experience and looking forward to going back soon!
I great place for youngins to drink, snack and flirt.
Very cool, - but the food is pretty awful
Eat that Spicy Lobster Ramen with a sauv blanc - so gooood!
Great tasting food and great service. Definitely looking forward to coming back.
Great local find
Looks like a fun place to go after work or a get together with friends who likes to drink and enjoy small meals. All dishes are small and ramen bowl need more favor to it.
Fantastic place with genuine Japanese ambiance.
Including videos of Takeshi Castle which are hilarious.
The ramen and the poke bowls are delicious.
Festive atmosphere. Had the spring rolls, which I recommend. Had the spicy lobster ramen, which was OK but not special. Real problem was the service. Took way too long to get food, and the apps went to another table table first and then re-gifted to us (despite only 3 occupied tables at the time). Then, took a long time to get food. Much better options to consider.
Food was great. Burger is really good and ramen was really good. If you want low key in South Beach this is your place. Reminded me more of a dive bar with good food. Not like any other place I have been in Miami and seemed more geared to locals than tourists. Service was ok.
We love this place but our last visit was disappointing. Table service was good but the kitchen was off. Mistakes in out orders, food quality below usual, entrees came before appetizers... We will give it another shot to see if this was just a hiccup
We left without eating. The owner booked the restaurant for a special event and didn’t bother to notify. We arrived and were told we could eat in the hotel lobby except there were no tables for at least 30 minutes.
The restaurant was closed when our group of 7 arrived
The tonkasu ramen is excellent. $10 for 5 chicken wings. Most things overpriced even though mostly tasty. Good drinks, also expensive. Service not great. Very loud, but I guess it is Miami Beach. 18.75% gratuity included.
A great deal of thought went into this menu. We loved everything about this place. The odd ambiance, the eclectic menu, the incredibly prompt service, and the food itself. I have read complaints about this place but they do not jibe with our experience. The spicy lobster ramen was delicious and there was at least 1/4 lb of lobster in it. Complaints about knotty ramen are probably from people who have only eaten store-bought dried ramen. This ramen was real and delicious. Oily is the way a dish like this is supposed to be since they spice it with hot pepper oil. Classical Szechuan/Hunan style. The Cubano spring rolls were a revelation and the addition of jalapeno to the dumplings was a pleasant surprise. Even the spicy tuna hand roll was a notch above many that I have had. The service was attentive and faster than I actually care for. We will eat a this place again, for sure. Cannot wait to try the hamburger.
Ramen used to be much better. Still a very funky spot
Don’t be fooled by their menu, which insists their chicken wings are “sooooo good!” They’re a 4 out of 10 at best.
The tots with duck fat were upcharged from regular tots & were half stale half piping hot, zero flavor. The shrimp ramen was just okay, which, for a place with ramen in its business name, you would think would taste excellent.
The spicy edamame was good.
The Prosecco tasted odd & like it had been left uncorked for a while.
The waitress took quite some time to take our order & brushed us off super quickly as if it was a busy night (there was only 1 other table dining at this time). Unfortunately, there’s an 18% gratuity included which was far more than she deserved but I suppose that’s why they can get away with mediocre service.
Not much here-ramen was mediocre at best and pricy at the same time
wings were ok-but can get better at many places
not much on ambiance either
Service was incredibly slow. It shouldn't take so long to get ramen.
Food was mediocre to say the least.
Their name says it all. Ramen. Really good rame. Even in the middle of a sweltering august day..people ordered ramen soup. That says everything you need to know.
Best Ramen in SouthBeach
They NEVER disappoint.
Courteous servers & staff.
Try the Matcha Punch. 👌🏽
The food was way below par for all the hype. Restaurant was empty, which should’ve tipped us off. The burger was so greasy our bottom bun disintegrated, which we sent back Bc it wasn’t edible... got another horrible burger. Beyond disappointed
It's hard to find GOOD vegan ramen in South Florida and this place has GREAT VEGAN RAMEN. On the menu it's called vegetarian ramen but the restaurant confirmed that it is actually vegan. The ramen here is as good as what I have had in Japan. Our server even asked if we had allergies before we ordered. After having awful ramen since returning to Florida it's nice to find something that tastes so authentic. The service was slow at the end but I think our server may have just gotten busy so I still gave 5 stars. My new go to ramen spot.
Amazing as always!!! Food is delucious
Took them to long to take our order and took them for ever to serve the food.
First time here and it was fantastic. My daughter had the pork bowl and I had the burger. It was exceptional. The drinks were amazing as well. Service was excellent. When I’m back in town, I will definitely be back!
really delicious food! we got the lobster ramen which i highly recommend
Ordered the tonkotsu. The ramen is definitely worth a try. The broth was a bit greasy but you can tell it was cooked for long time as ramen broth should be. Overall recommended.
Great ramen! Just be careful of the spicy lobster ramen! I absolutely loved it but my date thought it was a bit too spicy for her. It surely packs a punch
Worst Ramen noodles I’ve ever had, probably should of had the burger. Thought I’d try the signature ramen! Broth was good, but those noodles made me want gag! Mushy and almost powder like. Nasty! Major disappointment, wonder why LA location didn’t make it?
