WE shared a salad which was delicious. We had veal parmagian and veal with artichokes which were fabulous. The bread is absolutely yummy. Always a great meal..

Ralph's never disappoints!! The calamari is the best I've ever tasted. I finally tried the veal parm and it was delicious. Will definitely be back over the holidays when the whole family is home.

Never diappointed with the food at Ralphs. Parking is always a challenge. But the valet parking, though not free, is very helpful. Its always noisy so if you are looking for a romantic dinner, this is not the place.

Had the famous veal parmigiana was not disappointing. Savored the spaghetti with calamari marinarra, was to die for. Nothing like it anywhere.
Complimented our meal with their Chianti.
This is a great authentic restaurant in the heart of south Philly, service is spot on.

I found Ralph's to be a wonderful experience. The staff are very funny! The food is very good, and the give you ample portions. We had an order of Veal Parmagiana and it was enough to feed a a large family. The other order was Meatballs & Spaghetti, and it was delicious! These are the dishes that they are noted for and that is why we ordered them. The staff was very efficient and took care of our every need. It added to the meal that the staff joked with us.
I found them to be very warm. They have rooms upstairs for banquets, so family celebrations would be nice at Ralph's.

Another excellent meal at Ralph's. Food is delicious and served just right. The service was excellent and it's a great authentic South Philly experience. We've never been disappointed at Ralph's! I even found a great parking spot on the street two blocks away.

Drove 2 hours from NYC where we have extensive amounts of Italian restaurants and was pleasantly surprised. The service was great, the food was delicious and I think it's the creamiest tiramisu I've ever had!

We always pick Ralph's as our last stop before flying out of Philly after Thanksgiving. I cannot recommend the veal parmigiana highly enough--tender, crispy with great sauce. What a contrast to the limp versions i have encountered everywhere else. The veal rollatini and the veal with artichokes are also standouts--actually, all of the veal dishes are great. Terrific old school atmosphere--it claims to be the oldest Italian restaurant in the country. After your meal, walk down about a block to the Italian Market Street--a food lovers paradise. Cent'anni, Ralphs!

Ralph’s is a Philly gem. If you want authentic, sitting in your mama’s or grandmas kitchen good Italian food, Ralph’s is your place. It’s not a place where you want to nibble on your “dates” ear. It’s the kind of place where you want to ripe off a piece of bread and soak it up with real Italian “gravy!” The chicken or veal parmigiana is my favorite. The pasta dishes are beautifully prepared. Go to Ralph’s. Yo! It’s Italian!!! 👍👍

Those of us who run marathons are always looking for a good restaurant the night before the race. We want spaghetti and meatballs (at least I do) and the rest of my party who don't run want other things. We found a perfect place. I got my food, my husband was able to get a great salad and sea bass and our third dining partner got a very Italian dinner. All three were great. They also had a great cocktail and wine and were very happy with them. And they tell me that the Tiramisu was excellent. Our waiter was attentive, providing correct answers. The host was the host with the mostest. Make reservations ahead of time. Cozy and warm restaurant. The restaurant was totally booked the night before the Philadelphia Marathon

We heard of Ralph's from a from a friend who raved about it. We were certainly not disappointed! The food was some of the best Italian we have ever eaten. Service was superb and the wine list was fantastic. Though small the restaurant was comfortable and the ambiance pleasant. If you can't dinner at Ralph's, you can't enjoy dinner anywhere. We can't wait to back.

Very disappointing. Veal parm was large, but very ordinary. Two eggplant parm casseroles were ordered, coming out about 5 minutes apart. The first one was overcooked, and when we told the young (probably inexperienced) waiter, he answered: "what do you want me to do" rather than offering an immediate replacement. Told us it would take 15 minutes for another! Tried to talk us out of doing that and taking it off the check. While we were deciding he repeated "what do you want me to do". Very rude.
Prices were high for what we received, fortunately we had a Groupon. We can find dozens of better Italian restaurants in South Jersey that are much more reasonable. We will not be back!

Great food selection and wonderful bread. I recommend the chicken with roasted red peppers and sharp pro. Yum! And the great bread helped soak up the extra gravy. If u feel like you've never had delicious home made Italian, this is the place to go!

I love Ralph's. Been there many times the food is great. The staff is wonderful. The prices are reasonable and u can't get lower prices on wine anywhere what I don't get is people leaving such awful reviews hey if u are not happy with your dinner then let them know before u leave. Because the will try in every way to To make u leave happy If u choose to hide behind a review that is seen days after u have dined. It doesn't really help them. Talk to the manager let him help you They can only solve your problems if they know them I always do that. Before I leave a restaurant and I'm always kind about it Because the people workin in restaurants are at the. Mercy of everyone they encounter. I only wish that we all in every job we do can be so evaluated I don't work in a job that people can review. Customer service is really a challenge because not all customers are easy. One dinner isn't the end of the world. Hey guys say something before you write something

My daughter & myself had dinner together before attending a concert. I have been to Ralphs before so I was prepared to sit on top of the other table next to us which is not comfortable but I understand as a business you need to utilize every inch of space. I have been to Ralphs throughout the years and I really feel that the food is not what it use to be. I felt this way the last two times I was there. I do know good Italian food being Italian myself and my dad owning a restaurant for 40 years. I ordered the Antipasto which I felt was downsized from previous times. My daughter had the ravioli I had the braciole with fettuccini which was ok the braciole was a little tough. I did ask my waiter for extra gravy which he did give me. He took my dish in the back and just added the gray that was on my daughters ravioli. As far as our service our waiter was not the happiest person I can't say he was ignorant but not someone who added to the experience of our dining. Unfortunately I feel as though when a business becomes successful like yours, the food and service becomes lax. Because of the prices your establishment does charge you are held at a higher standard and can not afford to not give it your all. Please take this review as constructive criticism .

We saw our server twice, when he introduced himself by saying “you guys ready yet” and when he delivered our food, that was it. We got more help from the buss boy the entire night. Me and my boyfriend go here a lot and tonight was the worst we’ve ever been treated by a waiter. Sad

I chose this place because I searched for “kid friendly” on opentable and this was one of the top choices in Philly.
The reviews seemed good enough to give it a try.

We were a party of 7 (5 adults, 1 toddler, 1 newborn).
Upon arrival, we had a baby in a car seat along with the diaper bag, etc. We were directed to climb the stairs after walking through an empty 1st floor dining room (arrived at 5pm). At the top of the stairs, we were told our table was given to someone else so now we had to stand and wait for them to decide which empty table to give us (it was 90% empty ).
The bathrooms are tiny and to be advertised as kid friendly, there is not a changing table in the building. I had to change a newborn baby’s diaper on the floor of the disgusting bathroom.

As for servers, we clearly grabbed the short straw tonight. We were approached (not greeted) by a young man that couldn’t have come off any less professional and rude. He treated us as if we were lucky to be sitting in his section.
We had the calamari and tomato/ mozzarella apps. The calamari was very tough and very fishy. This was being shared by several people and everyone agreed that it wasn’t edible. I flagged down the server and he removed the mostly untouched plate (although he later claimed it was 90% eaten and tried to charge for it).
The entrees at our table were mostly the veal and chicken parmigiana. Everyone was satisfied but agreed that it wasn’t anything special or better than the local pizzeria.
As for the bill, please make note they add 20% tip to the bill for 6 or more people. The problem is they add the tip to the bill amount with the taxes included meaning you’re tipping on the taxes as well. That is not appropriate tipping etiquette.
