We were seated in the bar area with our reservation and were ignored for about 20 - 30 minutes by our server. Took almost 2 hours when we just wanted a quick lunch. Getting refills or any attention from our server was nearly impossible.

Waited to be seated even though we had a reservation. All walk-ins were promptly seated while we waited. Host was rude and unhelpful. Manager finally sat us after asking to speak to him. Would not visit again.

Overall a great restaurant. My bf got a mixed drink and didn’t like the taste, and the waiter was very kind to take it off the bill. The shrimp scampi flatbread is awesome. I got the BBQ burger (amazing btw), and my bf got the spicy pasta. The pasta was really bad. I’ve never sent back a dish before, and I was embarrassed to ask the waiter if we could return it. He was a bit awkward about it, but was kind enough to take it back. We ended up splitting the burger. Overall, staff is a bit awkward, but very nice. The food is mostly good. Pretty expensive though.

We had to wait 15 minutes for our reservation. When asked if we could place food and drink order at the same time the server said no. There was easily 15 “birthday” celebrations during the hour we were there

We were rushed because we were one of their last reservations. They called and wanted us to come early, which we could not. The experience of the rainforest atmosphere was tainted by all the employees rushing around cleaning and then standing at a nearby table with cleaning supplies waiting for us to leave. If they do not want 7pm reservations, they should not allow them to be made. When we left they had the gift shop closed down. That was a disappointment as well. Our waitress was very friendly and sweet.

They did not out our order in right away. Risk time if lunch was 1 hr 30 min. With kids that’s too long. Food was not cooked for shrimp and very pricey.

Our waiter he was new and did a fantastic job coming back and checking with us. Someone from a different table child spilled m & m and he cleaned up the mess even though it was not his table.

Our food was either so tough we couldn't eat it, cold, or there was no meat on the chicken. We had 3 birthdays and the cupcake provided was something i could make at home (and make better! It was extremely dry and hard as a rock) We will never go again. And we drove 23hrs for this experience. Extremely disappointing

Server was wonderful and quick. The food was average, but the environment is very cool. The kids loved it. The host was awful. We made a reservation and tried to check in 6 minutes early. She told us we needed to leave and come back when our reservation time was. We started to walk through the mall and two minutes later received a text saying our table was ready. We walked back to the host and she acted like she had no idea who we were and that we had literally just talked with her.

Made appointment months in advance. Arrived a few min before appt. Receptionist was demoralized- clearly not feeling good about his job. I soon learned why. Was not very busy. We had 4/5 people there but were not seated as we didn’t have full party. 10’ later our 5th arrived. By then the line was 5-6 families long. As a good MN native, I waited in line but it took forever. By the time we were close, there were 30-35 people in line. Others were jumping to the front saying “I have a reservation”, etc. At no point we’re any directions given. The poor kid trying to deal with these customers was just crushed. No wonder they don’t have enough staff - I would have encouraged him to quit on the spot. 40 min later we were seated - by that time down to the original 4 in our party - only to order and wait 30+ min for salads and fries. The kitchen must have also been short. At the end, the food was not good, the people were fine but clearly in over their heads - and the overall experience sucked. I’ll never be going to Rainforest Cafe again.

Very poor service. We had 4:00 reservations and when we asked at 4:50 why we hadn't been served our food, the waitress argued with us about how long we had actually been there relative to other people who had gotten their food. Rather than argue we just stayed silent and waited for our food to arrive. She never came to check on us once we had our food. We had empty drink glasses. It took about 15 minutes to pay. The food is always subpar but we put up for it because our kids love the restaurant. Not sure will continue to put up with the quality of food given the decline in service recently.

The atmosphere and service was fine but the prices were higher than we anticipated. Ended up sharing an appetizer ($23) and water while the kids prices were reasonable. A burger and fries meal starts at $20 and entrees went up in price between $20-35 a plate.

Had reservations seated us in bar area away from all the rainforest activity we went their with grandchildren as they wanted this first time and highly disappointed and lack of service felt like kept getting forgotten and having to ask for silverware, ketchup, ranch, meals delivered 2 at a time with breaks between

It’s definitely an experience and worth it to do at least once with the young kids. Food seems slightly expensive. We did our reservation on the app but still had to wait an additional 30 minutes then once we ordered drinks, that was another 30 minutes as they were short staffed per their report. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about allergies and food which was helpful- she gets 5/5 stars

Reservations are at 7 PM. At 7:10 I inquired when a table would be ready. The response from the hosts stand was ‘we have no idea’. As a result half of our group left to do a little shopping at the mall of America. About 2 minutes later, our table is ready. When we approach the hostess, and they told us, they could not seat us until the rest of the group came back. Group was back in less than 2 minutes. And then took another 15 minutes to seat us. During this time we watched about five other groups get seated. When we inquired why we were not being seated, we were ignored. Very rudely. so dinner reservation was at 7pm we were finally seated around 730. It took over an hour to get our food. If you go to this place, please get ready to watch about 20 rain storms in the rainforest. We only took up two stars for service, because the waitress was doing the best she could. She was working hard, and clearly had more tables than she could accommodate. (Denise?)

I’m going to preface with the fact that I am FAR from a Karen. I am always polite, even when my service is poor. I worked as a server for 11 years so I know what it’s like. Our server was a nice guy, great personality, but really pushed the VIP card. After saying “no” he wouldn’t let it go that we weren’t going to do it - clearly he gets some kind of commission for these cards. He messed up my husband’s drink order, and it seemed like he did this for a couple people around us as well. Once our food came, the server was IMPOSSIBLE to find. We wanted extra sides of BBQ because the burgers were a little dry and we waited about 20 mins before he finally showed up us to ask for a drink refill and BBQ. He did sing happy birthday for our daughter and made her feel special, so at the end we did leave happy but there were some struggles along the way. The food is decent and didn’t take long to come out. It’s a little spendy, but it’s MOA and the ambiance makes it worth it. We ordered: Queso App Kids Dino Nuggets with Corn and Oranges Two BBQ Bacon Burgers - asked for no onion but came with a lot of onions on it. Not sure if it was server or cook error Coke Kids Apple Juice Water

Our whole experience was terrible. We were ignored and left waiting for a table after being told that she would be right back. The food was disgusting and some of it was sent back. Overall the food menu was small and overpriced. When we told the waitress the food was not so great, she responded with sometimes that happens. Would never go back. Both our kids got sick and had bathroom emergency’s right after we left.

Absolutely wonderful! We made this reservation and called to say we would be a couple minutes late! Upon walking up the host called us to make sure we were coming and had our table right away. It was so thoughtful and our service was excellent!

Rainforest Cafe and young kids is a perfect combination. The food is fine but the ambiance is great for little kids. The downfall is the same every time, if you don’t have a reservation it’s hours to get in (but it’s easy to get a reservation if you decide to go even the day before). Also the food is expensive for the quality, even by MOA standards.

Service was great and staff was friendly. This is a place where you go for the ambience, but not the food. With that expectation in mind, it was a lot of fun for my son's birthday. Skip the volcano dessert - it's a Little Debbie brownie with vanilla ice cream.

This was not a good experience. The server was not attentive and it was hard to get her attention. She put the order in wrong but never addressed it or said anything. Our daughter didn’t get her juice until the end of the meal. The food was not worth the price. It was ok at best. The environment however is really cool and a lot of fun. I just wish the service had been better.
