the service and our server were excellent. It wasn’t crowded due to the coronavirus, but enjoyed our dinner and volcano dessert
Took a very long time to get our food, especially with young kids with us.
Was nice to be able to walk around the restaurant to see all the animals though. Our 2 year old was thrilled with the tiger and gorillas!
Very good food and great experience for the kids. Waiter was very knowledgeable and professional.
For the price, I was expecting much better food and service.
The decor looked cool, but everything is outdated, wore, and dusty looking.
Shrimp Tacos were cold. I didn't say anything. I had three kids with me, and didn't have time to wait for them to heat it or remake it.
After waiting for 15 minutes, I walked in the back cooking area and took a booster seat from the stack of booster seats that were against the wall.
The three burgers that were ordered medium had no pink in the inside. The other burger cooked medium rare was cooked perfectly and tasted great.
It took 22 minutes to get three kids' drinks. I have no idea why? A few times the waiter told us the drinks were coming shortly. He didn't bring or offer water to the kids, so we had the kids drink from our water and diet coke until their drinks finally arrived.
The chocolate volcano tasted like it was previously frozen, but the ice cream was really good.
Overall I feel $150 for five meals, diet coke, three kids drinks, dessert, and the tip was way too much for what we were given.
Had reservations, lots of empty tables, still made to wait.
Great atmosphere, good service, good food but slightly over priced food and drinks.
We had a nice dinner at the Rain Forest Cafe on March 3rd. The atmosphere is fun as always and the food was great. My only complaint was the drinks, our table ordered 3 drinks from the menu and they all came in souvenirs drink cups that we weren’t informed about and didn’t want. This wouldn’t be a big deal but it raised the cost of our beers to $12 each! That is higher than we’ve paid in most stadiums!!! Rain Forest Cafe either needs to inform diners of the cost of these glasses or only offer them when asked for. I feel it is a bit sneaky to not mention this except for fine print on the menu and have the customer be shocked when the bill comes. I paid $36 for 3 beers that should have cost me $12.
The food we got was not good. We don’t expect gourmet or even high quality food at a place like this that is aimed toward kids, but this was poor. I ordered the turkey club, and the bacon was a weird mixture of uncooked in the middle and hard on the outside...so hard I thought I chipped my tooth and the bread, while toasted was still very dry, I ended up just eating the turkey off the sandwich. My husband ordered a burger and also had issues with the dry bun. For the kids meals we ordered fresh fruit as a side and got a handful of half wilted, soft grapes. The kids did enjoy the atmosphere, but it seems like a lot of the tables have a blocked view of the animals, we were in a corner and were really only able to see the thunderstorms. We choose to go to Rainforest Cafe to celebrate birthdays for our kids...but we will be finding a new place to celebrate.
Food was very average. Service was slow. I had two grandkids with and the first thing the server talked about was their frequency program. Really? two hungry kids and your merchandising the store. I would have been impressed if the kids were attended to first. Haven't been here in awhile and wont be back for awhile.
Welcoming and good customer service! Totally good place for kid's birthday.
Everything was fine, we've been there a few times before.
Food took a long time to come out (over 45 minutes for burgers and grilled cheese and wasn’t very hot) and there was numerous mistakes with the meals order. Kids did enjoy the atmosphere though.
I took my kids while visiting the Mall of America. I’ve eaten at several locations over the years, but the experience was lackluster and disappointing. The server was fine, but the food was beyond mediocre. Nothing tasted fresh. I believe most of it was either reheated or frozen. I’ve always loved the charm, but for the price point, I won’t return.
I took my children and grandchildren, it was an amazing lunch. Our server was forgetting things a few times but she was very friendly and apologetic. It was my first time there and we will be back!
The service & atmosphere were by far better than the food or its price. We couldn't afford to go to this restaurant on a regular basis, but did enjoy our time. 6 person party = over $200 bill.
Had 7pm reservation, seated at 7:15.
Food was yummy and grateful they made substitutions for dairy free items.
Drinks incredibly over priced especially if you don’t want the souvenir glass. Spent $125 before tip for 4 people and we all had water, we each ordered an entree and 1 appetizer to share.
This is one of my favorite places to eat. Great food, great service, great atmosphere, great place to take the kids.
We had a great experience,. Everything but the food was great. Nothing too special about it.
We booked it thru opentable and was not acknowledged and was seated at a bad seat. The hostess was not nice lady. She set us near the bar. Didn’t care we had a reservation.
Yes and no. The experience was fun and the service was great! They had fun drinks but the food was not so good. It tasted half frozen and no flavor.
It's attractive to kids of course, but the food quality is lacking. It lacks taste, chicken is dry, roasted vegetables are just corn and carrots??? Cheeseburgers for the kids are dry, mac and cheese is overcooked mush, the icee slushy drinks come in cheap "souvenir" cups that are hardly reusable. and of course they're sugary, and they're in a big picture on the menu. SO, I don't think I'll ever go there again, because there is nothing there that is supportive of parents that are trying to help their kids make good choices in spite of the available options.
It was a lot of fun to take our 3 year old for her birthday. She had a blast she got the pizza and they sang to her and gave her a cupcake.
Jason the manager is a great fit for this location. He cares about more than just a paycheck.
It was such a great experience! My kids loved the animal noises with the lightening. Makes you feel like you are in the jungle.
Service was fast and friendly, we were sat right at our reservation time.
The kids cheeseburger sliders were thin and dry, but the kids thought they were great! They had them with fruit, it was fresh and yummy!
The adult food was good.
I would certainly go back, we had a lot of fun
Staff were very attentive and the food was great! The kids had fun.
The environment is fun for kids and lots of great distractions so adults can actually eat their food :) Recommend going if you are headed to MOA - but make a reservation first since the wait time is always long. Food is good, but nothing spectacular.
Service outstanding! Food not so good.
We sat for 20 minutes at our table and nobody even came for our drink order. We left with a very sad little boy because he picked that place for his birthday dinner. Very disappointed.
Fine... waitress was busy but did her best... food was ok. Very expensive though
Overall it was good. Was disappointed with the popcorn shrimp. It was all breading and no shrimp. The strips on my platter seemed light, some of breading didn’t even seemed cooked. The girls in the gift shop were nice and talkative with us and not trying to pressure us to buy anything.
Great place for kids! The noise level is a little loud, but it was a perfect place for kids. Food was delicious!
Such an amazing experience for our kids!! They loved it!! After a busy day at the mall it was fun to sit down and relax and enjoy the atmosphere!! The food was awesome and our server was the best!!!
Not really impressed at all. The food had little flavor along with the price you pay for the food you get is not worth it. Probably won’t be back honestly. Our server was really solid thought.
The food and drinks were great! All large portions. We enjoyed the variety. It was pretty expensive, but that is expected in the Mall of America, so just go in to it knowing you may spend more than at some other restaurants.
The experience was great. We were asked if we wanted to sit in front of the gorilla which our kids thought was fun. Our service was fast even though it was busy. We could have shared one kids meal since ours came with 2 burgers. Adult entry’s were just ok.
It was SO impressive 20 years ago (Denver location). Been waiting to take my kids there for a long time. Found a hair in my food. My dish was sub par. My child's food did not look all that appealing. These special animals really need an update; they look ragged. Still loved the thunderstorms. My child did think it was very cool.
We were seated and didn’t see a waiter for over 25 minutes after we finally got someone’s attention. The waitress only checked back when we were ready for our bill. My hubby did talk to the manager and we were given $25 off our meal.
Good time great service
We all know what Rainforest is -- an overpriced tourist attraction. We knew that going in. But the service was atrocious. She took our drink order, then proceeded to forget half of them. We reminded her, and she brought back only a few of those 30 minutes later. The rest we just didn't even bother ordering again. One of our entrees was completely forgotten as well, and she admitted she forgot to ring it in after we mentioned it to her. She said it would be right out -- which was another 25 minutes, when the rest of us were done eating. Was anything comp'd due to all these errors? Nope. Full price of $20-25 for each tasteless entree. If it wasn't our daughter's birthday request, we never would have agreed to go there in the first place. After that we said never again.
