Our 2 year old LOVED the dining room and animals! We had a super fun night!
I did think I paid more than I expected with the food I was given. Otherwise the night was enjoyable.
Service/food quality was terrible.
Ice cream was not fresh, it seemed like it had melted and frozen again. Need to work on quality sustainment.
This meal sucked. I hated the food, I got shrimp tacos and it was dry and cold, my husband got the chicken and it was also dry and cold. It was slow and the waitress took 20 minutes to come over by us, and then another 15 to take our order, then it took 50 minutes for our food to come out. We sat for another 25 minutes after our food was done for her to come over again. Never asked for refills. All thought my husband didn’t 110% love it he did love the atmosphere.
Service was not the greatest, but it was a good experience for our son.
Service was excellent. The atmosphere was really fun.
Well it wasn’t the first time for me to the restaurant, but I brought some of my family members and they were not that impressed and I found a hair in my salad and didn’t want to say anything because I didn’t want the embarrassment of front of them. Bring them there and that happens.
We made advanced reservation for 7 we were split between two table because of social distancing but we weren’t near each other. Even with our reservation we had to wait over 15 min to be seated. We weren’t able to talk to each other, which is silly when you go to dinner as a group. We were placed next to a large group that had 3 tables of people, they were seated next to each other so they could still converse with each other. Sadly the one table were young cheerleaders who proceeded to do jumps off the chairs into each other’s arms. Nothing was ever said to them. The food was mediocre and the menu very limited. I ordered a margarita which tasted completely of pineapple juice no alcohol. The shrimp tacos I ordered had popcorn shrimp which was gross but the sauce that was on it was good. It came with a small amount of beans for $19. I honestly would have rather eaten at a fast food restaurant. As a Landry’s member I enjoy many of the Landry’s locations this was extremely disappointing.
We knew the food was limited menu and pricey. However, the food was disgusting. Cold appetizer, lettuce was a few days past good, and my husband couldn't eat his dish. As we left, we noticed the other table didn't eat the same dish. Very expensive for food we didn't eat. Won't return. Side note: the staff were fantastic and friendly.
Atmosphere is fun but service was slow and food wasn’t worth the money
All the food was horrible steak was rubbery everything came back cold
Great service but we ended up waiting even though we had a reservation. The atmosphere was fun. Would be nice to have a few more items on the menu but with covid, I'm sure there were limitations. My friends had never been there before and they loved the cafe. I'm sure we'll be back.
Even though I had a reservation we still had to stand in line and wait well past our time. The hostesses were not helpful nor polite to everyone waiting and confused.
Fun place to eat with the family or with friends, fast service and good food.
Had to wait past when our reservation was because they let other people in before us when there were plenty of open tables. But good food and the waiter was very kind
The food was good but limited menu options (maybe due to Covid) a little on the spendy side for your average menu items. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. My 3 kids enjoyed the mini thunderstorms and animals noise and the rainforest vibe. Fun place to visit, but not on my top list of restaurants to go to.
The ambiance, as usual, was great! The food was very tasty. The only thing was the dinner for 2 for Valentine’s Day had been advertised via email on on Rainforest’s website, and our waiter didn’t seem to know hardly anything about it other then “oh yeah, I heard about that a couple of weeks ago.” He then told us he would have to get the manager to talk To us about it. I just pulled up the email and showed it to the waiter and all was well. I was a little shocked, though, that on an important, busy “love” weekend that the server was kind of clueless!
Host greeted us angrily because we had made our reservation through Open Table 30 minutes prior instead of the full hour he prefers (which wasn't stated anywhere when we made the reservation). The menu is very limited right now, which isn't totally uncommon, but there is no signage to indicate that before you're seated and pull the menu up on a smartphone--no paper menus available except kids' menus. The noise level is far higher than necessary with pop music playing loudly on top of the rainforest sound, decreasing the rainforest atmosphere my kids look forward to and just increasing the unpleasantly loud atmosphere. Food prices here are comically high--we've been before and this isn't a surprise--for example, $10 for a piece of cheesecake the size you'd get from the grocery store (thus also more expensive than Cheesecake Factory cheesecake). The location in Dallas, TX is run much better, making the experience at the Mall of America location just not worth it.
I have lived in Minnesota for 24 years and have never been to Rainforest Cafe. I decided to take my daughter for a date and we were not disappointed. This is such an awesome place for kids and families. Such a neat atmosphere and I enjoyed watching all the little kids check out the animatronic animals. Food was tasty and our waitress was very quick. Will definitely be coming back with the whole family
We love going here. Our kids always have fun and the food is great.
Food was awful- def gone downhill over the years. Extremely expensive and not worth it.
Have then animal sounds and thunderstorm only once an hour not every 15 minutes
Our 2 1/2 year old daughter was a little scared at first but then really opened up to it and loved it! Great food and drinks!
I took my children here for my son's 4th birthday. He enjoyed his dinner and everyone was spaced apart more than 6 feet. It was great!
My two year old liked this restaurant. He got a little scared of the animatronic animals. He still talks about it.
Definitely not the experience i was hoping for. First To start off our Appetizer Came out to the table Cold. We got the spinach artichoke dip. In addition to our appetizer being cold we hardly were given any chips and to add to that they were hard (like a old hard) and tasted stale. Secondly Our burgers were also not very appetizing and came out cold along with our French fries. Our server was nowhere to be found for the majority of the time we were at the restaurant . She wasn’t even the one who brought out our meals to the table. Myself along with my family were all Extremely disappointed with our food and the service. Our server came around maybe twice the entire time. Once was to take our order and the last time was to give us our bill and to bring us our card back after processing payment . Never once did our server come around to ask if we needed anything or ask if we needed refills on our drinks or ask us how our food was. I want to end this with saying that I never normally leave a review for one and for two I completely understand the stress everyone is feeling with covid and the restaurant did seem to appear possibly understaffed I must add however the overall service could of been better especially for the expensive overpriced menu and the fact that the restaurant only had maybe 3 other tables full and that’s it.
My 1 year old had the best time with the animals. We loved the food and service was great!
Normally have a great experience at Rain Forest Cafe. This one was subpar. Table had sticky sauce still smeared on it. Ordered the sampler platter. The quesadillas and spinach dip tasted as if they were last weeks leftovers. Service was just okay. Never got refills on our waters that were clearly empty before we finished eating. Would have asked but they never came by until we were done eating and by that time we just wanted to leave.
Food was really good. Chicken fried chicken and Rasta pasta were fantastic.
Really just an overall bad experience. We should've listened to the several people that told us not to go there. After talking to a few people afterwards I guess this is just a very known thing. We have learned our lesson!
My anaconda pasta was not as described in the menu. I could detect no wine sauce with the pasta having flecks of pepper on it. I ordered it with shrimp and was surprised to see it mixed in the pasta instead of crowning it on top. Lastly, it was so spicy that I would eat some and then put ice in my mouth to sooth the burning. There was no indication in the menu that it would be so. I assume that because restaurants were closed for so long that this day of reopening possibly put pressure on Rainbow to muster up to what a customer would normally expect.
Our food was all cold and lacked flavor, which was very disappointing considering the restaurant was almost completely empty. It was definitely not worth the price point. Other than the ambiance of the rainforest/animals it was not a very enjoyable experience and we do not plan to return.
Went to celebrate a special occasion (a birthday). This was noted while making the reservation and mentioned to the server when we sat down. The server asked if we wanted to join some kind of rewards club and we expressed interest. She said that she would bring us material about it, but never did. We waited very long for condiments and other items. This special occasion felt like just another day.
Portions were small and the alcohol was way too expensive (also, you should include the prices on the drink menu).
Our favorite destination for birthdays and always awesome
Took my grandchildren here for dinner. They loved all the animals and the whole jungle atmosphere. The food was pretty good, portions are right on for me. I won't complain about service due to Coronavirus. Server was pleasant.
The service was super slow but the kids had fun. Very loud with all the animals so wouldn't recommend for people with hearing difficulty. Nice 1 time visit with kids. Food was actually better then I thought it was going to be and drinks were very nice. Server was nice but took about 20 minutes of passing our table before he even greeted us. And the restaurant was not full at all. Of course these are strange times with COVID so maybe this was not usual for the restaurant.
The service was slow and the food was disappointing. We had the coconut shrimp and the shrimp was over cooked and the coconut breading tasted burnt. We love the Rain Forest Cafe, but this experience has us questioning if we will go back.
Great food and service! Great environment , super fun for kids.
