Rainbow Room at Lake Powell Resorts and Marinas
With spectacular scenery in a panoramic room, table requests are accepted but not guaranteed.
Great views of Lake Powell, but below average service and food
Great view limited menu and served was very slow. Note part of a large tour group so service was hit and miss.
Food was mediocre, limited menu and they were out of a few things.
Poor service. Extremely slow. They have a very small menu and were out of many of their entrees. Had to ask server multiple times to bring bread
Need more staff, and they need some training in customer service. Food was good though.
We waited over 40 minutes for food. The steak was dry, fatty and stringy. The 2nd meal was cold and very small portion. Waitress never checked on our satisfaction with meal, water, or offer of dessert. She ignored our complaint about food. She seemed disinterested. Then we asked for manager. We waited another 45 minutes for replacement dinner which was marginal for fine dining. No one checked on us after the meal was served and believe it or not had to reach out for the check. We were very disappointed that no reduction or compensation was offered on final bill. We chose to cancel our next evening reservation for dinner and chose fast food instead figuring it couldn't be much worse. Could not recommend.
Good experience. Recommend getting a table during daylight to enjoy the views. Service was good... there when you need them. Food was good, although the selections were limited. Odds are you won't be disappointed with the evening here.
Amazing view. We booked to enjoy the sunset and it was gorgeous. The food was fine, but not great for the prices. Our server was lovely.
I gave this restaurant 1 star. We had reservations for 8:15, upon arriving early ,7:50 we were told we had to wait until 8:15, by a rude receptionist. Another man came and asked us if we had a reservation, and we told him, yes, he too said let me check, and went into restaurant to look and came out and we waited another 10 minutes. we were brought to our table and , noticed half the restaurant was empty!
we waited another 15 min to get our server to get us a drink, finally ordered our food , it was just o.k. When the bill came he charged us for 3 dinners, we only had 2! we had to wait, again, for him to fix that! So the 1 star was for the incredible view!
Terrible service! Obviously this restaurant has a lot of tour groups and could less about service and quality of food! The employees are all very overworked and therefore are less than motivated to offer any kind of service at all. Would not recommend it to anyone! Very expensive considering the poor service and food!
Food was excellent, fantastic views and a wonderful server
The food was delicious, waitress was attentive and the view was fantastic.
Food , view and service were exceptional...Anca are waitress was over the top terrific... try the salmon and pasta dish were delicious... make reservations go early and see sunset... relatively inexpensive
Good food but service is very spotty. Things are forgotten or just plain wrong when delivered. You are a captive audience since there is nothing else to compete with them once Labor Day passes.
Had made reservation weeks ahead. When we arrived it was very busy due to many bus tours at the lodge. Asked to be seated at window but was told no. Tables were Very uncomfortable- big metal legs on a pedestal table & we kept hitting our knees. Food was good except for the bread. Dinner was tasty but expensive for what we got. Not a good beer selection.
My husband and I had a lovely dinner at the Rainbow Room on Friday. We shared a pasta entree, salad and dessert along with coffee and glasses of wine. (We are seniors & split our dinner whenever we travel & aren’t able to save leftovers.). The food was tasty and fresh. Service was also excellent. It’s the only full service restaurant at the Lake Powell Resort so didn’t have much choice. We were very satisfied with our dinner.
They have an excellent chef, the dishes were excellent and very tasty.
I would recommend only if food was not the criteria. Limited choices and very high prices. The view is incredible. Service was good, but not outstanding.
Arriving 4 min ahead of reservation we were asked to wait though the restaurant was almost empty. Not just a polite style. The waitress was rather indifferent and stressed. Did not even asked for drinks. The salad was mostly withered though the dressing was fine. The main course was good. One wine glass was milky. Apparently caused by the dish washer. Main course was served though we were still eating our entries. The half eaten dishes were pushed aside.
Excellent Location. Good Food and Service. Its however strange, guests with reservation are been asked to wait because they are 7 min early , despite the fact the restaurant is almost empty. This is an arrogant style.
Wonderful views, great food, understaffed
There was a fly in my wine- food was mediocre
Una attesa infinita per un pasto niente affatto particolare né memorabile. Anche la richiesta di uno stuzzicadenti é stata problematica.
Friendly staff, fast service, good food, & excellent view. The only odd thing was you couldn't make a reservation at the resort for dinner. You had to use the Open table site or app. Seems like if you are standing at the entrance to the rainbow room or at the welcome desk, you should be able to make are reservation with a live person.
Everyone at our table had a problem with their food. Food took a long time to arrive, and when it finally did 3 people had various parts of the meal missing, and another was under cooked. Chef didn't seem to care, saying it was perfectly fine (there was a massive difference to what was served and the new "cooked" part brought out. Offered a dessert to share between two as compensation, but most desserts had sold out! Have been here before and it was great, this time it really fell short, to higher price to pay for less than mediocre food. Disappointing and no one seemed to care.
Nothing special. Not worrh the price
Beautiful view! Service was good and food was good. It is not gourmet dining but very good. Also had breakfast there and it was excellent.
Nice but could use some updating. Food was good and service was good.
We made the reservation via Open Table, so when we got to the hotel we reconfirmed it and requested a window table or by the window. When we arrived not only did they sit us at a table for 6 when we were only 4 people, we were all the way in the back away from the window. There were tons of tables up closer open but they would not move us, we were told they have reservations for them. Then the food came it was terrible, no taste and really just not a good meal at all. The waitress never came back and asked how everything was and I was looking for some fresh ground pepper to add to my dinner to try to make it so I could eat it but she never came and checked on us. Then when she did come over and saw that most of us had not eaten our dinners, she didn't even ask if everything was ok, just if we wanted dessert. The tables were still open in the front and now it was dark, so if they were saving them for people to see sunset the time had passed. Don't go there for dinner or stay at the hotel - both are in need for a remodel and improvements.
First contact at reception is a disaster, no smile, no professionalism.
The chance was to have Sandra at the service.
No ambiance, noisy.
The marketing done on the website creates expectations that are not at the real level.
The food quality is poor
I will not recommand this restaurant.
They should speak with their hostess. She has a terrible attitude, complaining that she had to train people and couldn’t seat us because we were 2 minutes early. When asked who made those rules she replied “MY rules!”
We had to wait standing 15 minutes before we were too early as several table were available "but not for 4 " At the end of the day, we were driven to table for 6.
Avairage food and absolutely no view on the Lake by night.
We have been waiting for 45mn for our reservation hour while the restaurant was half empty and the front desk didn’t want to sit us down.
Waiter was nice but forgot part of the order of a party of 4....
I would absolutely recommend The Rainbow Room. Definitely book through Open Table as reservations are a must. You will be glad you did.
The service was horrible. The appetizer never came. Soda and water had no ice. Took three tries to get soda. The server needed to brush his teeth.
Food issues even after reviewing with waitress
After sent food back seemed to disappear annoyed as if we had done something wrong.
Pas à recommander, mauvaise organisation et mauvais service. Aucune souplesse dans la gestion des clients
Prime rib was over cooked...like beef jerky. Second try no better. Service was horrible. Took 17 minutes for waitress to check on us. View was terrific. Actually saw a rainbow. Have used Open Table almost 400 times...worst dining experience of any of the other reservations.
